1. Really nice bass. Right up my strata. Right out of my price range..:0( GLWTS
2. Hi, is this a Korean one or a Chinese one please? Many thanks
3. That is a lovely bass. Beautiful fretless tone, very well played if I may say so. GLWTS.
4. Great work. It's always nice to see a bass brought back to life!
5. Lovely work Andy. Enjoying this one.
6. That is a lovely looking bass, even at this early stage. The honey maple is glorious. Is the body unusually deep? I only ask because it looks like there is a lot of headroom in the control cavity!
7.
I've read in several interviews that Macca stopped using the Wal live because it was so heavy. In those same interviews I've never seen any mention of it being down to Mr McManus' geeky nose-poking. As for "It had, much to Costello's horror, five strings", this just makes him even more of a complete tit AFAIC.
This.
8. What sort of strings are you planning to put on this Andy?
9. 'Derby's Rob Allen'- now there's a thought, eh Andy?.... Subscribed!
10. That fingerboard is going to look lovely with the swifts. Very tasteful Andy. Nice touch.
11. Looks a treat Andy. Well done and thanks again!
12. Hello, that is a lovely bass! Can you post some more pics please? Also, is that a scratch just behind the xlr socket? Thanks Best Stuart
13. Ahhh, now I understand. ... Thats a neat solution Andy.
14. "John Entwistle at his best" Sounds awesome!
15. That looks lovely Andy. Just remember what it USED to look like.
16. Does having the wireless TX fully enclosed in the body of the bass have any effect on the range then?
17. Nice bass for not a lot of money. Have a bump and GLWTS.
18. Anyone got one of these? I saw one on the web last night and I must say they are lovely looking things. Wondering is anyone has...erm...'hands on' experience? Hmmm. seems I got my gridiron teams and basses confused. it's a 48 bass. Not a 49er.....
19.
Spotted that but hadn't worked out what all the controls do yet I'm assuming there will be a wiring diagram on the Neals web site. Is this the only mockingbird version they do?
Yes I believe it is. They are also very helpful on the phone- well Skype anyway. Really nice people as it goes.
20. Thats looking great Andy. Sterling work as usual. I'm sure you already know, but just in case- there is a pickup blend knob on the current setup, which is not standard, this is replaced in Neals rewire kit with a toggle. which can only be a good thing, IMHO. Best S
21. Thanks for this Neils.
22. Hi there, Lovely bass. Would you be kind enough to post some pics of the damage under the tape please? Best Stuart
23. Just bought Karls EA i600. Can only echo what everyone else has said, splendid chap and very easy to deal with. Many thanks Karl!
24.
The word is compromise. If you take the example of the Hi fi world, if price is no object, what do you buy. A 200W Arcam perhaps at nearly £4,000. And inside surely Class D?.....no. Bloody great torroidal transformers and caps like Heinz bean cans. Heavy, hell yeah. Why because nothing beats a sodding great power supply for great bass and transients.
Word.
25. By the way, don't be fooled by my avatar, I'm in Sri Lanka, the amp is in Suffolk!
