6. Had several of these, fabby basses; sure I can't interest you in a part trade against my Spitfire 5 Fretless??? If this is still around when mine sells... Best of luck. Andy
7. Pity your ad doesn't read... 'wanted GB fretless.. this for trade... think that's a gorgeous looking bass, love the Montego look.. if mine sells.... Good luck Andy
8. Got to say your new rig looks FABBY!!! Andy
9. Hi Steff, owned (and selling) much Traceness (and an EBS 650).. they are superb at what they do.... that siad I'm currently on a Thunderfunk TBA-750A... I know there's (was) a 550 on here somewhere... try and hear one... only a suggestion... talk to RIM basses (the importer) or to Dave Funk... best I could say is to paraphrase Dave... "other amps throw doughnuts, my amps throw bowling balls.." 'bout sums it up. Good luck in your search. Oh.. paired with an Ampeg 610HLF...SERIOUS/ DANGEROUS!!! Andy
10. 'V' serial numbered US made ' Vintage' series '62 Re-Issue Strat: three tone Sunburst with Rosewood board in Fender case, 'C' profile neck, plays a dream, few scuffs, nothing major and no marks on the neck. Few of these on the bay recently at about a grand... circa £1500 new so a bargain at £750. You're welcome to try it. If you live in the Central belt of Scotland I'll deliver FOC.
11. Hi all, up for sale is a range of Trace gear all in really good nick. AH350 SMX: tube front end, really powerful, the small UV plate was missing when I got it so I've covered the hole, UV working fine corners not even rusty.. 1524 2x15 4Ohm cab, as you can see the writing has worn off the label but it's been metered and is deffo 4 Ohms UK only, I'm in Scotland in the Central belt if you want to try any of it it can be arranged... if you're in the Central belt I'll deliver any of it FOC. If you're further afield I'm happy to meet part way within reason. Make me an offer.. worst I can say is.. YOU WHAT!!! Thanks Andy
12.
That bass with frets would be perfection! So many lovely basses around here, but unfortunately they are all serious wonga particularly in times of recession. Best of luck in selling, I don't think it will be to me unless the lottery comes good though.
Thanks anyway for the comments, if someone did want it fretted I might take some of the cost into account on the price??? Andy
13. Possible part trade options type bump.. I've edited the first post... Andy
14. Oh well.. if you're after a G&L 2500 I think Thornybank still has his US one which is up for grabs... Andy
15. Don;'t suppose you fancy a Strat? US '62 Vintage re-issue 3 tone burst, Rosewood, 'C' profile neck, Partchment plates... Ok it's not a bass... I admit it; or maybe a Trace AH350SMX and either a 2x15 or 810 (both Trace) and some pennies??? The Bacchus is too pretty not to ask... as you're in Northumberland I may be able to deliver... (the cabs especially the 810 are not on the little side...) Andy
16. Just twopence worth... although they're based on the same chassis the tens are different in both boxes... the 'top' box (which sounds fantastic on its own) drivers have standard 'corrugated' edges as per most drivers, the 'bottom' cab drivers have rubber surrounds suggesting that they're designed to excurt lots at high power wich in turn, given that there's no crossover, suggests the box may be some sort of develish clever bandpass/ported arrangement... sonically it 'feels' like adding an 18" Andy
17. Welcome to: there is 'different' but there is no 'better' I've used this live several times with one cab... only once with both... nuff said. They expect me to get better soon.
