5. A few months later type and a price drop type BUMP... Ta Andy
6. I have a 750A... these amps are the most dynamic and full sounding I've ever heard (been playing live for about 35 yrs, last few amps I've had are Trace AH500x, Fender Rumble 300W tube head and Acoustic 370); the control at the bottom and the sheer push is way beyond what you'd think for the power rating. The EQ is fab.. oh and Dave Funk is a star.. where's me tenner.... At the price this is great value...
7. I had a Player in Harlequin... these are absolutely STUNNING instruments, you might not think it but these can do (for me at any rate) a killer Jazz sound but with more solidity. One of the easiest playing basses i ever had, fabulous neck... what do I have now.. GB's You won't get more bass for the money.... OK where's me tenner.... seriously fabby basses.. Andy
8. Would you consider selling? If so how much? Ta Andy
9. If this is still available could I try it with my own amp & bass.. i work in Glasgow.. if it is and you're Ok with the idea I'm on 07779 718 119 If you were trading what would you be interested in??? Amps, cabs, combos, guitars (I mean basses) Andy
10. Hi all, up for sale is a Fernandes 'Jazz'; it's 80's, has EMG 9V two band (Overall it's Vol, Vol, stacked T & . it's been defretted, recently had the fingerbaord tidied up so not much in the way of marks. Lovely 'aged' look to the finish... Well played with some dings but overall just feels 'comfy'. With a gig bag couriered to any mainland UK address for £300. You won't get a better bass for the money, easily up there with the best of the early Squiers and Tokais... but then I'm biased... 11. The cost of which could be taken into account in the price perhaps???? just a thought.. Andy
12. Wednesday (just 'cause) type bumpety bump.. I've recorded a clip if nayone is interested (flat EQ on bass and in ProTools; pick individual strings followed by some messing about for each of : front P/U, both and Bridge.. I have a full bandwidth version 25Mb so I can mail but you'd have to check your mail provider will accept a file that size.. and an .mp3... 2.5 Mb so obviously not as 'detailed'... cunningly avoided saying 'good' as the playing is pants... can I upload a 25 Mb file here? Anybody know? Just noticed the 20Mb upload limit...Doh!! have uploaded the .mp3 as an attachment. Ta Andy
13. Here I go again type bump...
14. Hi there.. thanks anyway for getting back to me.. sorry for the delay.... they're digging up the path outside and suddenly I have '''broadband modem experiencing connectivity issues'' I fear the worst....
15. Different sort of cab, a combo... e.g. Roland Bass 30 modeling bass combo and some cash your way... if needed i'd be Ok with building in and arranging couriers? Different cabs about so if you had thought on something smaller/bigger I may have some thing... I'm assuming you don't want to 'add' anything but if you did I've also got a Trace (200/250W with ext cab not quite sure which would need to check..) 1x15 12 band Graphic combo... it's the small format one so about the size of a 210 happy to chat if you want... can Pm you a mob if that helps. Andy
16.
Trace Elliot 1818, green cloth era. 18" speaker - 300W - 8ohm. Jack and XLR connections. Bought new in about 1998 and hardly used. This cabinet is very nearly immaculate. The only blemish is two small patches of green on the logo 'A' have scratched off. It is currently in my friends guitar shop in Stoke on Trent. Collection preferred. Offers around £200 to start?
Would you be interested in any form of trade? If I arrange shipping? Andy
17. Hi there, I know you've said the Amp is non US.. what about the cab (it should say at the top of the connector plate). Are you only looking at lightweight replacements as trade pieces or are you open to anything else? Good luck with the sales... on all fronts. Ta Andy

19. Hi there, although I'm not in the market for a big tube head this seems very fairly priced... i think £750 is a great deal for 400W of tube head... are you sure you want to part with this???? good luck Andy
20.
WOW! just WOW! I dont think i will ever sell my V4. Its just too damn good, at everything. Yours is slightly different to mine, mine has the overdrive channel and compressor. I didnt know they did 2 models. Do you know any history about the differences? just to please my geekiness As far as i know, they only made around 20 of these. Good luck with the sale, someone is gonna be in heaven with this sound!
Hi there..just a chip in sort of thingy... Your V4 is the same series as the V8 I had, these were the last tube amps produced by 'the real Trace' , these were later than the original 'V' type range which all had a tube preamp and a choice of either SS (hybrid sub series) or tube power stages.. which came as a V4 (Andy's model) and a V6 (4 tubes along the back and 2 'dog-legged' inwards... these suceeded the original 'Twin' (100w 2xKT88), 'Quattra' (200w 4xKT88) and 'Hexa' (300w 6xKT88) series which had GP series SS preamps (there was also an 'in-between' VA400 (6x6550 with both SS AND tube preamps)... Andys' series of V4 is so in your face for 200 'Rock' watts it's not true whereas the V6 was much more HiFi.. I've heard this set up umteen times and it is easily as good as you think it's goingto be.... but louder!!! Andy (a fat bald one)
21. I had a Player in 'Harlequin' finish from new... fabulous bass.. at this price this is an absolute bargain. Good luck, whoever buys this will be well chuffed. Andy
