2. Hi there, sorry I may not be in the market for one but I have to say this, to my eye, is simply stunning... good luck. Andy
3. Not seen one of these in years.. the are gorgeous instuments, very piano like tone, well above what you generally expected from the far east at the time. good luck, whoever buys won't be disappointed. andy
4. Hi there, looked at what I think was one of these in Guitar Guitar in Edinburgh.. are these the MZ ie Mexican series? i looked at a distressed Salmon Pink Jazz...If so can't see paying nearly a grand for a Mexican Fender to get £300 back if it doesn't work out.. I got my USA '75 reissue Jazz six weeks old for that.. Andy
5. I never thought when I posted last night about the cab that you had a secret weapon poised to attack its' total..... I think the BOM should give you a prize for single-handedly creating more traffic than anybody else... ps good looking bass.. hope you get a result soon. Andy
6. Yahooooooo!!!!! Qustion is WHAT could possibly fill the gap.. over 6000 hits.... mmmm need to be something special. Congrats to Geoff too.. super cabs. Andy
7. Been lookin and while it's good to see this thread go on i really hope you get a sale soon... these are fantastic cabs, the 18 does WAY more than you think it will for the box size and the 10 just adds the right amount of definition... I used to use two 1812 stacks with an AH500 and slave.. i used to have a Volksy van, accommodation with a lift and be thirty years younger ... if you like bass this is the box at silly money... IMHO Andy
8. It's amazing how cider and punctuation inter react..... innit. p.s. somebody local'ish should buy this NOW as it'd at least be in the UK for when I've got enough money.......
9. Just re-read your post Tony... what a ***t am I humour well lost..... darling....
10.
So how well do you know this guy, Andy?
Hi there, think Alex means the bass he sold used to be mine... know the Beeps for .. oh let's just say over 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yrs. Don't know Modo. Used my Harlequin on several albums.. records really well... does't look as though it would but does a fabby Jazz impression Assuming it's me you're talking to... now i'm confused... not difflick. Andy
11. Hi there, gorgeous, I had the only one of these that came to Scotland, bought it new for knock down £999 in the late eighties (if memory serves) God knows how much that would be now...., the finish is 'Harlequin' the model is a 'Player'. Seen the body he still has when I was down ordering my six... although it's bolt on it has much more in common with a Rumour than a Spitfire/Standard.. got to be worth about the same as a Rumour of the same spec. Good luck.. if you have any issues Bernie's a top bloke and will happily help... see the GB Guitars website. Andy
12. Hi there, sorry been fixing the !"£"!"££$$% computer all night...... I'm in Edinburgh and work in Glasgow if you would want to try it... happy to post/courier anywhere. Andy
13. Hi all, recently aquired this with the intention of having some work/restoration done..... ran out of money... huh.gif It's got a fair amount of dings to the body but the back of the neck is clean. It's had umpty (technical term) sets of tuners on it so several visible old screw holes... I put a set of seventies Grovers (from an old Gibson) on it.. the ones with the 'wavy' button (cost me £50). It needs the fingerboard dressed as there is a slight buzz at the third pos. on the E string. Best I've been quoted has been £80. Has a fairly good gig bag. It has the twin large bare polepiece brown single coils, pup selector, active/passive switch, three band EQ (only works when 'active'), master volume and two EQs for use in either passive or active modes. Sounds great. Some of the pots can be a bit crackly. There you have it. Got to be a bargain at £200. 23. Hi all... been playng for 35 yrs.... finally gave up on all of the options.. gone back to a USA '75 Re-issue Jazz. Happy as a pig in ****. Anyone else made lots of moves only to find out their original choice was the right one? Im amazed that I actually do consider the in between tme (25 yrs!!!!!!!!!!) a 'distraction' Really not being Fender biased... just wonderig how many of us 'know' what's right but still spend mega bucks proving ourselves right? If i am the only one... good on you all.. if i'm not>>> thanks for allowing me to be 'normal' Balders
