Its a rather grey day here in Nottingham and its chucking it down outside so the pics has a bit of glare and less than perfect exposure but hopefully they show the bass in natural light... I am absolutely over joyed with this bass, the tone is amazing - well rounded and punchy with lots of mwah. The neck is slightly rounder than my other Roscoes. My Signature fretted and old Century Standard both went very flat in the center of the neck, most noticeable from the 12th fret onwards, where as this neck remains more 'D' shaped throughout. It's very comfy and the rounding almost makes you notice the 19mm width a little less. Anyway, pics... Body shots front & back: -
Another easy transaction - 2 pedals this time. Pretty sure this dude is making a clone of my pedalboard Cheers dude! Shep

Just got home - Long day. Sooooooooo worth it. Absolutely STUNNING! Plays like butter and the sound... oh my. I've played every Roscoe in Bass Direct, and owned another 2, but this has so much growl its bed wettingly good. Amazing mwah tones and some great fretted-like bite from the bridge pup. Oddly - you'll notice how different the bass looks between Gards & Marks pics shown on this thread - The reality is, that in the flesh it doesn't really look like either! The top appears far more pale and almost flesh like. It really is stunning. I'll whip out the Canon 500D in the morning and get some snaps in natural light. 1 very happy man! -
Thought about making one, but building a case is no easy feat... I've had a very competitive quote from flight case warehouse to this spec... I have a few other places to investigate too.

With a reluctant heart I am clearing out LOTS of pedals from my Synth style board. I'm using my Moogerfoogers more and and determined to get down to a single pedalboard again as I am currently using 2 Diago Tourman! Just spent the afternoon playing with a stripped down set up and using the Moog LPF and Freqbox in different ways. Making more of the Whammy settings as well. I think I've just made half of my pedal collection redundant! Did a full rehearsal, played all our stuff (be it some tracks sounding very different!) and didn't touch ANY of... Boss SL-20 Slicer Modded EHX Bass MicroSynth MarkBass SuperSynth Subdecay Noisebox Subdecay Echobox 3Leaf Audio Groove Regulator EBS Unichorus EBS MultiComp Tech 21 Red Ripper Basically used the Moogerfoogers, delay & fuzz! Think a clearout is coming along. Maybe even back to a single pedalboard!!!
Shep bud thats one sweet bass you are getting, monday cant come quicker for ya! Enjoy it you gearhead lol.
Gearhead... Me? -
I'm actually warming to this idea. I've heard reports that tracking is better and not only is it true bypass - but it works on 9v DC!!! Which is damn sight better than the noisy AC power of the old one. I'm using the whammy way more now that I used to and so I'm thinking about selling my Whammy IV and upgrading...

Does anyone have experience of having a custom board built? I'm currently using 2 Diago Tourman boards side by side, it's huge. I'm looking at down sizing slightly, however I won't be able to cope on just one Tourman due to the bloody stupid size of Moogerfooger pedals... Damn them. I'd be looking at a board around 52" by 20"... Lift off lid type (like Diago board), NOT something that has to be taken out of/put back in it's case each time. Anyone had anything built? Suggestions? Ideas of cost. I've fires off emails to Diago & to Flight Case Warehouse already, no answer as of yet.

Is it Monday yet!! -
EBS amp head for me every time - and I favour the Neo cabs over the Prolines, not just for the massive weight saving, but I find they have a lovely hi fi tone. My Neo 212 is a one man lift and not a great deal less in weight than the Neo 410. Fafner II looks like a beast (it'll weigh like one too!). I used to own a Fafner I and loved it, moved to the EBS HD350 as wanted to save the weight!

pantherairsoft replied to Raslee's topic in Effects
Or just set your EQ flat, roll in a little more bass and use the Moog MF-101 to cut the top end from the sound and fatten up the lows like you've never heard!!! -
