2.
Luke who plays guitar in 'From the Kites of San Quentin' has a diago board on a keyboard stand:
I like it... And the other dude uses the lid as his 'work bench'... Smart stuff!
3. I'd hardly call myself a genius! I just stole lots of Pre-existing ideas & info! Oddly I don't use as much blending as I should and most of my signal is one pedal after another... I've started blending a little recently and part of me wants to do more... But my signal chain is a little to crazy to do it easily. I use an LS2 for what I do and it's works perfect. Tone is coloured 'slightly' by the Boss buffer, but in my set up that doesn't matter... As I don't use a clean tone at all! I've heard real good stuff about the Barge so that be my 1st port of call after the trusty LS-2
4. Stumbled on this track from it being in the current Renault Clio advert. Really liking it. Kinda Dubstep meets Massive Attack vibe going on... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8TbZvy2msQ...be_gdata_player
5. AudioSpares.co.uk I used to work there. Lot of cable makers buy the cable an Neutrik plugs from them, then just assemble, rebrand and sell...
6.
Roscoes rock!
Damn straight! And the 6ers are super awesome Right folks. Great weekend, been to Manchester today to grab a Neo 110 off J.R.Bass & just booked studio time to do a new EP. As such I'm in a bloody awesome mood and I'm bumping the Roscoe with a price drop to £1350! Edit - Added a few part ex options to the 1st post... Bump and a couple of pics of this sexy beast being used live... You too can look that cool... You just need a Roscoe
7.
I use a GRAMMA with my all my cabs, and on every gig. As far as I can tell, because I don't do with/without tests, the GRAMMA improves the sound when it can but doesn't detract when it’s not needed.
Same here - And I couldn't agree more!
8. Chris, I use rounds on my Fretless as well. Flats make a fretted sound woolly, so added to the already natural muted tone on a fretless i personally think it lacks too much definition. Beauty of using rounds on a fretless as well is that with a few EQ tweaks you can get an almost fretted tone from it! I can't hear the benefit of flats on a fretless at all... Unless you own one with a bad choice of fretboard wood, like something softer than Ebony, Diamondwood etc in which case flats are a good choice for protecting the board.
9. Oh dear. If thats classed as 'ridiculous' then whats mine Interesting track… Not exactly my kind of thing but some interesting ideas and layering going on.
10. I use it for steep climbs and dives along with delay... Www.ourhelicalmind.bandcamp.com - listen to the track 'Neon Tangerine' . It has a very simple structure (Intro, A, B, A, B, A, B, Outro). Each 'B' section uses the 2 octave climb along with delay to create an over lapping trail into the next section... Shep
11. This is Jazz we're talking about! He barely has time to play the other 900 thousand basses he has… I have played this bass, its bloody fantastic!
12. Mark, That's the best idea yet... One I'll consider. And if 2 Tourman boards won't fit stage wise that's a solution to move one up... Interesting...
13.
Man, GB makes some gorgeous basses.
Damn right! Stunning stuff!
The "sound to light" system is one of the coolest things ever.
Hmmmmmmmm...
14. For simplicity and sound it has to be the EBS multiComp for me. I have been a fan of the onboard compressor in EBS amps for a long time. To get it in pedal form has been a blessing. I find it easy to balance gain wise and it really doesnt colour tone at all.
15. Ha! Ironically his kit gets smaller and smaller. Current kit is a Floor Tom on a mount (so played like a bass drum), 2 or 3 snares depending on mood, hats, ride, chopper, trashformer, splash
16.
Someone put the man out of his misery! Roscoes are fabulous instruments and I have no doubt this one will make someone out there a very happy bunny indeed!
Well if noone bites and I'm left with 2 Roscoe fretless basses, will I be disappointed...? ...No Would love this to go to someone else in the Basschat family though... Shep
17. I have an EBS Dynaverb. It arrived this week and as such is still showroom new. It's had about 30 minutes use. Putting together my mini board and I miss having a delay on it. As such this is up for trade against a similar priced delay pedal or funky envelope pedal (DynaVerb retails around £175). Let me know what you got. Will also sell at [s]£110[/s] SOLD Shep
18. Bought a power supply from Gaz. A true gent who ensured I was totally happy with my purchase. Cheers bud! Shep
19. No - I'm a bassist. That is sexy as hell though I'm so ending up with 2 Tourman boards Now just to find stages big enough
20.
So, is the head still available.......?? Not sure what you meant by...... "Word!"
Sorry... Trying to be 'down with the kids' Someone had PM'd before you, I've messaged them with 1st refusal. Pending that reply, your next in line and I'll let you know ASAP. Cab SOLD! Shep
21. I thought about that solution, but I do turn them on and off, and the cabling from a rack to pedals (as they are at different points of the chain, 1 with an expression pedal, 3 connected to the MP-201) is a logistical nightmare! I need to tweak stuff a my feet live as well.
