1. Yup - The current board weighs more than my cab - I'm thinking I need to try and work without some of my pedals for a bit to try and fit them in the Tourman/Showman combo.
2. That's about th best bet I think. Think I may give up on that idea. I've just upgraded to a Tourman AND a Showman so I can have all my exp pedals and external control units on a board for set up/breakdown ease. I'm ashamed to admit that I eithe need 2 Tourman or to cut some stuff out... Why are MoogerFoogers so bloody big!!!!!
3. Hey Mark, Cheers for the kind words. I agree on the neck dimensions... The perfect size with the ideal profile. Just feels 'right' in the hand. This is the more popular 18.3mm spaced Roscoe setup & neck. The 19mm version tends to feel a little big for many. Shep
4. Interesting pedal board!? The Diago has small rubber feet already. Door stops may work but I want a reasonable angle on it. Takao the back by an inch I doubt will do anything noticeable.
5. Wizzy pics with bag as promised. Apologies for the quality, had to take them on the iPhone and I'm uploading them on the bus on the way to the studio!! Backpack - Cab going into backpack - Fits Cab & Head with side pockets for cables - Small tear at the back of back. That was there when I got the bag 2nd hand by has not got anywhere desire using it as intended -
6. Want! Like you have no transport though
7. PM's replied to. Am in the studio at the mo, but will post pics including backpack etc as soon as I can (prob the morning!) Shep
8.
second dibs on the head if it doesnt go
Word!
9. I'm sure on the 'pin' based feet. There's seriou weight in the board (more than my 212 cab) plus with my body weight on it I'll be concerned about damage to the floor/studio carpet. The flat feet in the link above are cool. Was thinking about those ISO tilt blocks you can buy for amps as well... Obviously for the tilt as opposed to the isolation properties!
10. If I can find buyers for BOTH then I may sell separately. Head - £400 Cab - £300 Collected. Already have an interested buyer for the head... Shep
11. They look good, and if I'm lucky may fit on the holes/on the bolts used by the existing small rubber feet! Expensive though...
12. Not on your twitter! Yet... Just know you've been after one! I have my eye on the Catalonbread Heliotrope... That's my next 'present'
13. Folks - Ideas for 'slanting' my massive pedalboard. I use a diago tourman and need to use something to place under the back of the board so it slopes up slightly. Sounds simple, but ti much be something that a heavy board won't slide off on a solid stage floor when I push against the pedals at the back where its raised. Must also be something that will fit in a bag with my stuff, so a number of small wedges maybe? Shep
14. I've emailed Dan @ GigRig to get his take on it… and specifically with the use of an active bass (all references mention what wonders it does for the sparkle of an electric guitar tone, as opposed to the fatness of a bass). I'll let ya'll know when I hear back.
15. All good dude! We now have 2 electronica/dubstep threads going… We're taking over!
16.
Hm thanx Maybe you know any other low pass filters with exp input? Cant find
Just the Moog & the Iron Ether one off the top of my head. Oh, and I think you can do Low Pass with the M9/M13 and expression - Queue Dan Owens to clarify…?
Btw, have jus tlistened to your band Nice tunes Gave it a Like in Facebook
Thanks bud, appreciate the feedback!
17.
Awesome setup dude.
Agreed! Setups done get much more 'boutique' than that!
18. Maybe - Difference is that the Enigma, like many pedals is predominantly an Envelope filter/Auto Wah, which can also be used for Low Pass/High Pass/Band Pass etc. Pedals Like the Moog MF-101, Iron Ether etc are dedicated Low Pass Filters, that can also be used for envelope/Wah duties. My experience has proven that you should use a Low Pass Filter of you need a Low Pass Filter, and an Envelope Filter for Envelope duties. It's generally a given that a pedal is generally better at exactly what it's designed for. As such I have an LPF and a Envelope Filter on my board. If cost is the issue - Keep an eye on eBay, my Moog LPF was £110 on eBay, which is not much more than buying a EHX pedal like the Enigma. Shep
19.
Well, then i think i could get some similar stuff out of my digitech xbw
Quite possibly.
20.
That would be veary interesting. Because i cant find any info on internet or sound samples of fm600 on bass
Just had a look at it's details and as far ad I can see it doesn't have an expression input? Meaning the LPF would be either just set to a specific point or swept by the envelope it generates. I'd imagine it could do some good sounds, but you'd be unable to do any of the synth sweeps etc... Unless you can set the envelope speed as well as the cutoff, which I imagine you can't. I'm told these are VERY good - http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/ironether/xerograph
21. If you have lots of true bypass it obviously defeating the point... My signal chain includes 4 MoogerFoogers, a Whammy IV & 2 Double Pedal Boss units, plus lots more... Those I just listed all have a reputation for tone suck, the 'foogers particularly 'colour' your tone. I do notice a some top end loss and over all 'fatness' - which I EQ back in on the amp. This compensated sound though is obviously not quite the same tonally speaking as the original sound.
22. Stumbled across this - http://www.thegigrig.com/acatalog/Z_Cable_catalog.html I'm a huge fan of GigRig stuff, and being the user of a massive pedal board/signal chain I'm quite interested. A google search shows lots of people opinions based on what's written about it, but there's seems to be no one out there that's actually tried one. I know it's strictly impossible put put back the exact flavour of tone lost through pedals and buffers, but I'd like to think it's significantly better than a little clean boost with a passive tone dial. Don't suppose a basschatter has had a go? Long shot I know... Shep
23. Would consider trades/part ex with... EBS NeoDrome12 EBS HD350 EBS Neoline 110 EBS Neoline 112 Shep
