1.
Thanx for xplanation And what do you think abotu Behringer fm600 as a lpf?
I don't have any personal experience with it. The 1st LPF I ever tried was the Moog one and it's the one only one I've ever really used. I'm very happy with the sound so never really shopped around. I'm sure the Behringer has been discussed on this thread (if not, then definitely somewhere in the effects forum) and from what I read, it seems it does a very good job, especially given it's very reasonable price point. Hopefully someone who has hands on experience will give some more input here for you. Shep
2. Most of it will be coming from the synth player - but also his MP-201 will be midi sync'd to the midi clock of the synth so he can use LFO's that run in perfect time with song. He does use an M9 for a few sounds etc too and as that can do an awful lot, it could be part of it. Shep EDIT - Just listened again - Sounds like it's all LFO through the MP-201 into the cutoff of the LPF. He's controlling the rate of LFO with his foot.
3. His board is quite similar to mine. He uses 5 MoogerFoogers including the LPF and an MP-201. His fuzz sounds come from a Woolly Mammoth, Subdecay noisebox & Freqbox.
4. Fat Burning Step video from a recent rehearsal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2WakGtMMh4...be_gdata_player Bond doing some pretty interesting stuff… Bad news… I have had a play with some different routing and cleaning up my signal and due to some fantastic results it looks as though my board may be growing, just a little bit more
5. Also, Bassline Universal 5 Fretless This is an interesting shaped 5 string Fretless that ad well as being worn on a strap, has an end pin and a stand so it can be used in the same member of an EUB. Lovely even tone and the construction is great... That 1 piece flamed ash body with the neck contour is gorgeous!
6. Here's my Roscoe 6... Love the Diamondwood board with aluminium fret lines - such a good combo my incoming Roscoe Custom fretless has the same! Shep
7. Hi folks. Just a feeler and a moment of madness. Up for grabs is my super powerful and super lightweight mini rig. Consists of a Euphonic Audio iAmp Micro 550 - Super powerful micro head. 550w, 2 channels & weighs 1kg (!) and its only 2 months old!!! Also a Euphonic Audio Wizzy 10 cab. Super lightweight 1x10 cab, 250w, great response to the top end and projects a low B stunningly well. The cab comes with an EA Wizzy backpack that fits the head and cab so you can literally take the bus to gigs with your rig on your back! The pair with the backpack would cost you over £1000 - £525 for the head, £450 for the cab plus extra for the backpack. Both are very highly regarded bits of kit and sound fantastic. Amazing volume for such a tiny cab too... With a head powerful enough to drive a big rig too... [s]I'm asking £680 collected in Nottingham (I won't post so please don't ask) which I feel is a bargain for something so new and hardly used. This is just a feeler and if what I have my eye on slips through my fingers, or I come to my senses then this will likely get withdrawn...[/s] Wizzy 10 - [s]£300[/s] Sold EA Micro 550 - [s]£400[/s] Sold pending payment Will also consider trades with... EBS HD350 A show of how compact this really is...
8. Hey Charlie, Shame To see you're giving it up! Miss my Fafner!!! Lovely amp. If I had the money I'd have it back, and if take the cab as well. This is a stunning setup & someone should snap this up!!
9. My pleasure... I'd be interested in your stance and thoughts on the last point. I'm in the lily position where I kinda' am the synth player. As it's just me and a drummer, ad long as it's tight & in time, then nothing is 'wrong'. Nonsuch thing as a wrong note if there's no one else to pitch to or harmonise with We're looking for collaborators for our next EP (have a few vocalists on board already), so I'd be interested in seeing how you guys work around each other in preparation for doing so myself... Shep
10. Theory seems an odd move for the 'Modular Synth' themed blurb. What about... Advantages/disadvantages of buffers in signal chain EQ & Frequency exploration Application of software (ableton etc) in live performance Working with a Synth player (and not stepping on each others toes) Shep
11. About bloody time!!! A very good read & some useful stuff. I actually use very little signal splitting or blending... I do use an LS-2 to have 2 over lapping sounds on a couple of tracks. I aim to spend some real time on splitting the signal chain more so the Sub runs all the time and effect the higher frequencies - bit this will have to wait until I get some time off. When I finally go further down this route I'll prob give you a shout over some advice, Dan. Shep
12. I get ya' - Cheers. I'll have a think...
13.
Yea it can get real expensive real quick. Even Shep acknowledged that it would make little financial sense for a solely bedroom player to invest that heavily in effects. I for one am happy with just my OC2 and Orbit... for now.
My board is insured for about £2k... It's an expensive business...
14. Hmmm... I see. If the switch on the side is the original footswitch (on/off), what is the footswitch on the front for? Cheers Shep
15. You mean a pure clean smooth sub sound? Octave down -> Low Pass Filter = Pure clean huge sub
16. Fantastic. Love it dude!
17. Awesome. I've closed this one as its also in the 'Effect' section...
18. AWESOME pedal and bargain price. Mainstay of my fuzz sound now & works perfect with 9 & 18v Active Pre's. Someone should snap this up!
19. I missed last year, but enjoyed the year before. I'll be there if I cam arrange transport. Shep
20. Can we see a pic of the Whammy please as well as some close up of the conversion work with the scroll wheel. What do you mean by 'upgraded power supply'. Very interested pending pics etc… Shep
21.
This looked like quite an interesting thread but unfortunately you're on my ignore list so i can't see it
Well that was a pointless comment! Thanks for the input. I'm interested to see how this turns out. Well, actually looking forward to hearing how this turns out... Shep
22.
Touché
Stay away from my Touche... I hardly know you! Oh... Wait...
23.
Both of mine would have been better with smilies after them, apologies pantherairsoft C
No worries. I never even noticed that first comment... That'll teach me for walking into threads and not reading every post If I had read it before now I'd of replied 'No thanks, I'm happy with Roscoe'. Shep
24. I think it'll price the same as the Phaser. Although it is midi, so maybe not. I've already emailed Mark @ Hot Rox telling him to Pre-order me one.
