1. That top is killer! Looks even better now
2.
It looks the same as the Mk II I have hanging on the wall a few feet away.
Can't argue with that!
3. If I had the money in the bank I'd be all over these soooooooo bad!
4. I like it very much… Got a great swing to it (for something in 7), good work! (Nice bass in the Avatar as well! )
5.
The geiger counter does some suprisingly nice fuzz sounds, I was thinking of moving it on after I'd had my dirty fun with it's weird noises, but I might keep it on as a fuzz.
If you decide to get shot... I'll have it!
6. Post them here on the thread. I'd like to see them too, and personally, I think some good pics on here to catch people's attention and make us go 'wow', is the only way you're going to sell this beauty.
7.
Thanks Shep. The reason I assumed Sansamp last is the XLR output on that is next to the output lead socket and so if it was placed ahead of another pedal, the XLR would be inaccessible unless there was a large gap between the pedals ?
That won't cause an issue if you find you prefer your amp's DI and don't use the Sandamp for that reason anyway. Also your assuming you have to lay out the pedals in the order they are connected... Which is not the case. You van have the sansamp last on the board, but 1st in the chain... It's the order of the cables that matters... That's where George L's come into there own!
You could put in your own short right angled XLR cable that can then be connected to the house XLR cable?
Or that!
8. Hi Clarky, I'd suggest trying all the DI's as they will likely all sound a little different (power amp will be Pre EQ, Pre amp will likely give you the option, and the sansamp has it's own flavour). You may find one of the DI's has a natural sound that better suits you so run with that. Have a play in the practise room through the PA. As for the board, as it's relatively small it shouldnt make too much difference. I'd run the Polytune last as it will double as a mute switch. If you run I first, it may mute the bass, but not any additional noise the compressor or sansamp put in line. I'd suggest going into the sansamp 1st as that's going to boost/EQ a signal, which you can them compress when compression is required. Again I'd suggest the golden rule though... Try it both ways and see which sounds best to you! Shep
9. On its way back to Mr Goodfellow Shep
10. Yes mate. Loving it, very different and fun to play. Finding a comfortable strap position and getting these strings on it has made it a joy to play.
11. Agreed! Seller has decided to remove the details though so damage done now. I'll close this thread now so thousands of us that wish the details were still here don't make the same comment and keep bumping an empty thread to the top. May as well let pretty desirable basses be here instead. Shep
12. Fair price for this beauty. Someone should snap this up.
13.
Yes, it's the best fiver I've had, and I've had some of the best. Tracks wonderfully and has incredible attack. Without being all thuddy like a Fender often is. I don't know how Keith makes the necks, but there's something about the Roscoe neck that allows for a ton of attack without sacrificing THICK tone and good sustain. If I was fives-player I'd still have the white one. I'm not too miffed about not having it anymore, though, since I've found new love:
Love the Koa one dude so damn much. Prob my fav' Roscoe of all
14. Thanks for all the interest and PM's. Still just interested in selling or part-ex with a Roscoe 6. No othe trades thanks folks. Shep
15. Based on this thread I too purchased a set and they arrived from Bass Direct today. Perfect length, less sticky, better tension and a much fuller warm tone... Wow! A seriously worth while investment. Cheers chaps Shep
16. Lovely! That's the 1st White Roscoe I've seen as well! Lovely instrument!
17. Very tempted... Cash flow says no though
18. Love this bass. Stunning.
19. Is the Tone Press powered from the 'first' output on the distributor (that being the one nearest the input), if not, try it as it makes a difference. Also worth noting I had noise and issues running my diago powerstation into a gigrig distributor. Once I swapped it for the Gigrig generator it was fine. Try the shreadfreak with a daisy chain rather than the distributor and see if that eliminates the problem. Shep
20. I can't vouch for the rest of the MB range but the Super Synth is a nightmare. I'd suggest keeping it on it's own power supply. I now use a gigrig generator and modular power system. It's pretty badass, but even the 12v system on that failed the Super Synth after 5 minutes as the drain of the pedal is a massive 550mah!!? The guys at gigrig solved it but it took a custom adapter built for it. My advice... Stick with it's own supply Shep
21. This is sold pending payment to the man above.
22. Not sure I can add much more to to the above. The amp delivers stunning clear sound with stunning response to the top end. Peavy stuff tends to be more fat, tradition bass tone, the EBA will happily do that, but is really designed for clarity and full range performance. An amp does need the right cabs to really sing though. I use this with a pair of 4 ohm cabs but found it a waste as it's so damn loud, running it with a single cab saw me running this with the volume at only about 4! If I hadn't found the HD350 was enough for my needs then this would stay. The HD and TD amps are the best I've used by far and I certainly wouldn't be without one of the 2. As for weight. It isn't light. But is sounds AMAZING. Shep
