1. Cheers Tony, They are stunning. Great balance of valve & solid state. Still yet to find anything better than EBS tonally for me. Shep
2.
Buy it then - ha ha! If it doesn't go at this price there's no hope for the market right now! Actually, I'm toying with the idea of putting an ACG EQ02 in it if it doesn't find a suitable home soonish and postponing the ACG custom build for a while. I've been really impressed with the same preamp in my Zoot. Pip pip!
I have number of items up or sale and depending on what/if they sell I will very well co sided buying it. I'd consider the ACG Pre a downgrade though as personally I love the Roscoe Bart sound and am not a fan of the ACG tone (having tried 3 or 4 basses - they have a lovely feel though).
3. How is this still here... Want this beauty so much! Stunning!!!
4. Agreed. Stunning. It was a hard choice between the 350 and 650 as to which I'd keep, but needs must, so the 650 goes for a bargain price. Had a few PM's (which I think I've replied to them all) but this is still available. Shep
5. Hmmmm... There was a chap in Nottingham called Geoff Putnar I believe that had one very similar. I bought my old EBS Fafner off him when he was clearing loads of gear a couple of years back... I wonder if he was the previous owner. Lovely basses that sound Stunning! Welcome to Basschat by the way. Drop a post in the introductions forum if you get chance Shep
6.
yes,it's remind to me the Scott Surine's J-Bass model!
I have to confess, I've never heard of Scott Surine! Lol... A quick google search shows I've been missing out! Bump.
7.
i've never seen a such beautifull 6 strings!!! big bump!
Thanks! That's quite a compliment given your collection of 6 stringers...
8. HotRox mate. They are online as well... http://www.hotroxuk.com/ Or just pop over to Notts and nip in.
9.
George L's are a god send.
Agreed!!
10. For me it would be the last one - In a line with the volume up level with the bridge pickup location… I find it much easier to locate quickly if it's based there. LED and Active/Passive switch should be tucked away as changing quick is prob not needed, maybe down next to the bridge. Depends what capacity you plan on using the kill switch in to decide on location...
11. My five… No particular order (They have all been number 1 at different times ) Justin Chancellor - (Tool, Peach, Intronaught) John Davis - (Nerve/Jojo Mayer) Radek 'Bond' Bednarz - (Miloopa, Fat Burning Step) Les Claypool - (Primus… Duh!) Billy Gould - (Faith No More)
12. Some awesome boards on here recently… almost gutted that I'm happy with mine and have nothing new to show!
13. Si, How do you think I felt!! Took me 3 days to put mine together!
14. Thats pretty damn cool. Looks like a headless singlecut MusicMan Bongo. Cool stuff!
15.
What? Sheps got a Mayones deal too?
Well, I am a popular chap
16. Hi, I assume you have changed the battery? That would obviously be the 1st port of call. Secondly check all the cable solder joints to and from that pot, as well as the joints on the lead from the battery itself carefully to make sure there are no dry joints etc... Shep
17.
very nice. Are you sure its worth getting rid off. Hope the Roscoe's are worth it. EP was impressive so good luck. Liked the idea of 2 man band. First I've heard it done correctly. Cheers Dave
Thanks Dave, appreciate the kind words. The Roscoes are something else (for me at least). I've not used anything but my Roscoe Fretless live really for 18 months and they have a feel that seems to just work for me. I'm bound to regret selling... That's part of the fun of buying and selling gear though... And a great excuse to want another GB some years down the line!
18.
Oi don't sell it until i've had a play!
Get on over then! Drop me a PM of you're off tomorrow!
19. Having looked around I'm revising the price to a very competitive £600 (plus £20 for the rack case still)... Bargain!
20. After a few hours of running said amp with said cab I can report they sound amazing together with no worries. All good
21. lol. I wouldn't really call my HD350 'light' Although its lighter than my TD650 I suppose.
22. Did a part ex deal with David on an amp… I was a tad unlucky and the amp failed shortly after arrival (Please note this was not due to David etc… no fault was apparent upon David sending the amp). David was cool enough to stay in touch throughout the process on contacting the manufacturer and arranging a deal whereby I got my hands on a a new replacement unit. Cheers for the great communication. Shep
23.
Here's my mini-rig. Although with the 4u rack, it's not quite as mini as it could be. The 4u contains my EBS HD-350 with my tuner and Sennheiser wireless. The cab is a 4 Ohm Zoot 112NT. Love the cab and sounds great but to be honest, I've never used it live, only at rehearsal. Need to take the leap of faith and go for it at a gig. Thought about getting a second 112NT at some point. Perhaps the extra volume from the second cab would allow me to gig with it. T
Ha, that looks huge! I bet the flight case weighs a ton!
24. Myself and mcgraham took a trip down today. Great day out, met a couple of nice folk including some chaps from Yamaha. Informative as always. Thanks again for your hospitality, help & advice Mark. Appreciate it as always! Shep
