1. Was a fun day, nice to meet plenty of like-minded people. Barefaced was certainly a pleasant surprise. Mikes Sei also struck a note with me (as well as his hair )... A few pics I took - Apologies they were taken on a poor iPhone cam in a badly lit room, but figured I should post them anyway - Actually the pics are REALLY bad Shep
2.
Oh yeahhh? *Checks train fare from Birmingham to Nottingham...*
Anytime man...
3. If that falls though I have a spare set of chrome I would be happy to trade for a set of blck. Is it just the locks you want, or the pins as well? Shep
4. Thanks guys. Anyone that ends up around Nottingham is more than welcome to bring a bass, plug in and try it's synthy goodness...
5. Cheers dude. All the george L's form 'runs' cable tied together at points around the board so they follow set paths and spike off as they pass the pedal they connect to. Even the coloured cables that run totnhw MP-201 I had made to the right size and have fastened them into a neat mini-loom. Power is still a little messy but will be just as tidy within the week
6. I have a Fretless Roscoe 6... No worries there. No ACG gas in this camp. I have the GB Spitfire being delivered soon and have been considering exchanging my 'spare cab' for an alternative... But no more buying. This is going to be hard, and I keep seeing cool stuff, but other than maybe changing my EBS Neo115 for something else I'm really going to stick to this. I have even pulled out of buying a Neo112 from Bernie along with my Spitfire as I consider it unnessarcary at the mo... And I'd agreed to that before I started this! Go me
7. Spoke to Bernie today. Bass coming back from the spray shop first thing next week all being well then assembly!
8. Just about at the end of my cable tidying process. Everything changed over except for 1 cable (left the last pair of George L's on the side at home… sods law). As of tomorrow it will be all neat an tidy… Power set-up is getting there as well… A tidy board is a productive board!
9. Bit of a clear out… Lot 1. £5 inc. Postage Few black patch cables of sorts… 4 of 0.5m (50cm) right angle black patch leads. 1 of 2.5m (250cm) right angle to straight patch/instrument lead 1 of 1m (100cm) straight patch lead (This came with an amp so may be a 2-core speaker cable, but works fine as a patch lead) Lot 2. £4 inc. Postage 4 high quality path leads, one Green, one Grey, one, Yellow & one Purple. All 1m in length with heavy duty jacks (Neutrik-stye, but not actually Neutrik jacks). Cable is good thick heavy duty as well. Lot 3. £10 inc. Postage Bespeco VM20 Non-latching footswitch (designed for tap-tempo of similar) Boxed. Used once about a year ago. Retail at£14.99 PM me for a quicker reply.
10. SOLD Hi guys, Looking to trade or sell my amazing EBS Neo 115. Stunning cab that defy the classic '15's are all low end'. This was demo'd to me by Bernie Goodfellow and the slap sound was mind blowing. Couldn't believe this was a 15. Huge amount of top end with a great tweeter and more bottom than you know what to do with… These really do sound like the best out there (IMHO). Only reason I am moving it on is that I am using the 212 more with its 600w power rating to give me more headroom with very powerful ams and I'd like another to match it to keep at another location... Perfect condition and hardly used... Pictured here so you can see its size next to a small combo and a bass - And here on the bottom- Powerful at 300w into 4ohm and surprisingly light. Cab located in Nottingham City Centre Up for sale at a VERY reasonable £300 collected. Happy for you to arrange a courier for collection at your own risks with shipping of heavy item... Trade/PX options - Happy to add cash.... EBS cabs (410, 212, 112, 110) Pro combo (Markbass, Tecamp, EBS -Would love a Drome, etc) May consider other 212 cabs or a pair of 110's
11. Are these really 60lbs!? That seems mad for the dimensions given...
12. Fantastic! Looking forward to seeing this evolve!
13.
Sheps is close...
Nice...
...but for now, here's another 6er. This time a Rumour. I think this one is Sequoia... looks pretty mad with the Snakewood board too. Enjoy! PS - check the matching ramp!
Nice...
14. Buy a RIM. I've had a RIM, GB & Overwater built for me. I love the GB sound and feel, but it's not for everyone. By far the best build process and quality of result award goes to Robbie @ RIM Basses. Very reasonably priced compared to more UK builders as well!
15. Really impressed with that 'home-made' effort. Nice to see something different and bespoke. Now I've migrated to the Tourman I'm trying to justify keeping the limited edition Monkey Dream board for a rainy day. I could do with the money, but a pedalboard that lights up blue just can't be cast aside that easy!
16. I picked up the Limited edition SR2010ASC and have to say I'm very happy with how comfy the body shape is. The SR series certainly got that right! Compared to other SR's as well the sound is far more rounded with leas metallic zing. The 'Ashula' preamp and 'Sonic Arch Pickups' seem to be a huge step forward in sound. I really hope they start to use this electronics package in future SR's... It would seem a waste for such a great sounding circuit to die with a limited run bass
17. Agree about the 1st post update.. This threads getting quite long. Maybe a list... Times, cost, address, parkin details etc etc. Seriously looking forward to this now. Going to be a great day. Are sorting any sort of name badges so we can be identified as our forum user names without having 20 real names & forum names to try and remember. Might avoid everyone calling each other 'mate' all day! Shep
18. Thought I'd better add a few bits to my gear list... 21.
yet another first class Basschatter!
Unlike Royal Mail
22. A couple of pics from Robbie... And the happy customer shot (yes, I am THAT short, and yes, I do REALLY need a shave )...
23. I bought a DVD from Gareth and Royal Fail completely let us down and lost it Thankfully Gareth is a gentleman and not only stayed in touch during the 'will it turn up' period, but also agreed to split the loss when it was clear it had gone for good. Sorry it didn't work out with the postman, but cheers for being cool! Shep
