Plans to find a lift has fallen short! Anyone passing through Nottingham want half thier petrol money covering?

I'm off to work now… drop me a PM today to remind me and I'll write up a basic user guide in as non-techie a way as possible… Overview… to save the sound, set it up on screen. Hold down the left mouse button over the preset number (eg 1-9) along the bottom until it flashes. That means the preset it saved TO THE COMPUTER (eg if you change patch now then the data is not lost). Then click on 'Store to Pedal'. Highlight the patch number you want to transfer (eg. the one you just saved) and click save (Or 'OK' I can't recall) and thats the preset sent to the pedal. There are other things you can do but I'll detail them later. One of the sounds I use quite a bit… http://www.myspace.com/ourhelicalmind - Listen to the track called 'Belly Door Snippet'. Thats Preset number 7 from my list of settings here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=957556 Shep
Lots of win. Thought about the Moog LPF? Or do you just use your Super Synth for that? I know it's a small thing, but I would get a bit annoyed not being able to fit my tuner on my board!
I would like an LPF, but with the Synth and the Groove Regulator and 2 octave options I can do lots of LPF style sounds. So far I'm coping without one... And... I have no space! Lol. Not fitting the tuner on the board is a little annoying. But, it's kind of an 'add-on'... If I use my TC amp it has a tuner built in, and if I use my EBS rig then I have a Korg Rack tuner, so I'll only use a pedal tuner if I'm amp sharing/using someone elses rig.
I'm loving the look of this bass I think it looks awesome and just assumed that it was a clever design feature you'd spec'd because in my head it really makes sense. If you'd never said anything we'd have all thought it deliberate
You're prob right! It is a pretty nice design feature, almost makes the most of the smart 'filled-tube' side markers. -

I believe you are correct with that being CT basses... I think his are almost 'oval' shaped. This is not quite that major, but it's very professionally done, perfectly even the whole way. Very impressed. -

They are indeed. It was an unforeseen addition, but required due to the radius of the fingerboard clipping into the side dots due to the massive width of the board... Thankfully Robbies eye for detail has chamfered the board edges off in a way that looks great and feels very natural. I'm actually glad the situation came up as I really do love the way it looks. -

Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!
pantherairsoft replied to dudewheresmybass's topic in Effects
Cheers dude... The Devi Ever pedal has done the job the Fuzz Hugger did whilst saving precious space! Loving the glitchy side of it too... Working a treat! -
I saw the 1st half hour. I grew up on him and genesis, an while I'm not a huge fan, I was always happy to listen to him and thought some of his big band live stuff was good. Last night however... I frankly have to say he has lost his touch. His voice is not maturing with him at all. It was whiny and pretty hard to enjoy. I'm sure others and die hard PC fans will disagree... But basically I thought it was shocking and his vocals were a real let down.

As seen in the 'Show us your pedal board thread'. The final (for a while) incarnation of my pedalboard. This is being used for my Drum & Bass project and is getting a lot of use. I'm happy with everything on the board and can't see me changing much in the near future... Ghost Monkey X-3012 ltd edition board All patched with George L's Those not with an individual supply are powered via Diago Powerstation Pedals and signal chain for those who care as follows... Bass --> TC Electronics Polytune --> Boss OC-2 --> 3Leaf Groove Regulator --> Devi Ever Soda Meiser --> MarkBass Super Synth --> EBS Unichorus --> Guyatone Phase Shifter --> Boss DD-20 Delay --> Boss SL-20 Slicer --> Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Modulator (plus Moog EP-2 Expression Pedal) --> Amp
I used to own a peavey 150TNT 15" combo............call me iron man hahahahaha
Ha... Then yes, it's the perfect combo for you! Shep
-
im quite suprised its heavy, I just assumed the TC was quite light,,,,,,dont know where I got that idea from!
Assume that's why you get such a good amp for the price... By not paying for the brands premium 'lightweight' technology so to speak. It's a 2 person lift for it to be comfortable or your iron man. If you can cope with it being 'Traditional' bass amp weight... Then it's a winner!
i was looking to buy one of these when the sale of my fender goes through.........any chance of a wee review brother??????????
If you buy this months copy of Bass Guitar Magazine you will find that I reviewed it there! For what they cost its the best combo I've heard. My drummer prefers it to my EBS stack in terms of tone as well! Very hi-fi sounding, with a good compressor and huge amounts of bottom end and volume on tap. In fact more volume than I know what to do with! Great amp. Very very heavy though! Not exactly a portable beast! An EBS Gorm or Drome is all I'd change it for. Unless I had the chance to pick one up at a silly price, I can't imagine finding a better sounding combo this side of £1000

Something non- EBS from me for a change. I've been using this for my D&B project as I wanted a combo for it. Sounds pretty good and does the job perfect... Do miss the EBS tone though. Anyone got a Drome or Gorm and fancy a swap ;-)

I'd agree with the 'Dark' sentiment. Think that owes itself to the Fretless tone though, and depending on your musical needs I can see it working well all round.
Not being a big fan of Barts myself I might have been tempted to go with Nordys. I think they are the same dimensions so it might be worth playing about with later.
I used to feel the same… Bart's never used to do it for me, BUT, with the right wood choice and craftsmanship they just seem to work. They always felt lacking something, but when a set of Bart CB's wen't in my Roscoe… wow! The whole thing came alive. Maybe they just suit the fretless tone great, but I definitely have a new found respect for them!

Agreed. Sound is 50% of it for me. Feel is the other 50%. I agree, I wouldn't swamp any bass with OD unless the music required it. Thats the most important thing… You don't always do 'What You Want'… often its about what the music needs, and if it feels right fattening it up with overdrive then go for it. Karnivool are a great example. Jon Stockman has a stunning Bass Tone, but his distorted tone just sounds amazing, and suits the music perfectly… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjvtx3HMUks...feature=related

No worries guys! Hopefully you can find one or two that work for you and give you a goo starting point to get more out of the pedal. Shep

Looking good. Body reminds me of my Roscoe. Looking forward to seeing the end result!
