1.
Anyone, help Panther out? Please? I'll even throw in a Bass=Boss badge!
:-) I'm working on it at this end. Hopefully I can sort something. Loved it last year!
2.
Jesus! That's changed around a bit since I was last on here. I see you've ditched the MXR Ocatve Deluxe and reverted back to the OC-2. I want to get an OC-2 for comparison to see which I prefer. Cracking board mate.
Thanks bud. The MXR is great. Only reason I got rid was that I bought the Markbass synth and the Octave section of it sounded very much like the MXR! Also at first having 2 Octave pedals seemed a waste. Given the complexity of the stuff I'm doing now where pedal changes are concerned I realised being able to run octve with synth was going to be a good thing. 2 reasons I got the OC2 over another MXR.... 1. OC2 was cheaper... About half the price. 2. OC2 sounds more synth like, and I already had the synth which sounded like the MXR and I decided the choice of 2 Octave down tones would be nice! Just done 3 hours rehearsal. Boards working great, sounding great and generally is great. I actually feel that I'll not be changing anything for a while... And I can't recall feeling like that in a long time!
3. Yup, with a few of the Synth tones. I don't use a great deal of dirt.
4.
Much love for the Moog Ring Modulator. That board looks phenomenal!
Cheers bud. It took some work to get it patched up in a way that I wanted, with the layout that made sense to how much I use the pedals… Ring Modulator rules!
5. It's been a long night of cutting George L's cable to length... And my god there's some milage of cable... But the board is finally complete, set up and running! Quick pics taken now from my iPhone, I'll get some better pics in the morn with the aid of a decent camera and daylight! And the night shots.... Love it.
6. Quick and easy pedal trade with Tom. Perfect communication and pedal exactly as described! Cheers bud Shep
7. No worries. The ones I use most are 4, 5, 7, 8 & 9, plus octave 1 & 3. The others have thier place but are seriously odd ( and i run them with with other effects )
8. More neck shaping going on. Profile starting to look lice and slim, just like the brief.

11. Right, here are my settings. 2 pics for each of the Synth tones, one of the Dynamics page and one of the Oscillators page. Some of these sounds are very odd and quite harsh, but are used sparingly. I've given them a brief description below… I use this with my Roscoe 6 string Fretless, light gauge strings, and through a TC Electronics BG500 210. Tonally the settings below work great with that combination. You may need to use your PC's zoom function to read all the exact numbers! 12. Traded for a Devi Ever Soda Meiser with the man above.
13. Anyone going from, or through Nottingham fancy a tag-along?
14. Hi bud, What is the Soda Meiser like with the low end… the demo sounds good but very thin… I know its a guitar but it sounds quite lacking in bottom? Does it respond better with Bass? Any chance of recording a clip? Am definately interested though Shep
15. THIS HAS NOW BEEN TRADED Hi People, This is a very tentative feeler… This pedal is great, I use it and actually really like what it can do. There is a portion of its wild side that I don't go near, but as a high gain fuzz with 'spluttery' tendencies it hits the nail on the head. I have just finished putting together a pedalboard for my current project and space is tight to say the least. The Fuzzhugger is a medium sized pedal, but a larger unit that I don't use very much, in fact Fuzz is the least used part of the board… however I still need one! As such I am putting this up as a feeler in trade for another high-gain fuzz (used in a synth-esque sense ran after Octave down) which has a smaller footprint, Ideally no wider than a Boss unit. Will 'consider' most brands as long as it's a thick creamy sound! The A-BSynth is a 1 foot switch version, with the Oscillator control on a toggle switch rather than a stop switch, it is number 22 made and has 1 of a kind paint job of the Wormwood plant (The plant used to make absynthe… get it!) and most importantly this one has the bass mod! It's a crazy pedal with so many sounds and styles it can be applied to it's nuts. If you want more info on the pedal - http://www.fuzzhugger.com/pedal-ab-synth.html Pedal is in great condition, although there are only 2 screws on the bottom plate (in opposite corners). They are a common size, but not bothered buying any as the bottom plate holds solid with just the 2. If I don't get a suitable offer I will keep it and find another way to condense the board. What ya' got!?
16.
cool, can i be a little cheeky and ask if you can post some of your settings as i get lost when trying to program sounds and end up back with the presets and with a sulk lol
Course. Might take me a day or so, but I'll try and take some screen shots for you. A few of the sounds you will prob hate, as they are real odd ring-mod type sounds and very thin. Used for ambient weirdness in my Drum&Bass stuff. There are a few cool ones I have set up, plus 3 solid octave tones. Bear in mind its set for use with my bass and amp combination and you will prob have to readjust the volume of each preset to suit you. I'll pop something up soon.
17. No expression or midi. It's a shame, BUT it's still a nice pedal without. The presets are good, but I have now overwritten all of them. Once you plug it into the computer you have so much control over the Oscilators that the sounds are endless.
18. Nice. Gotta love the blue neon board... Tis' the way forwards!
19.
+1
If anyone would know! :-) I find it actually pretty cool with the touch sensitive system! Obviously being the ground for the pedal is hardly ideal, but its pretty funky. Lol
20.
The circuit is wired so the switch says to it 'change' instead of 'be on' or 'be off'. Latching is the switch having to hold it down, but it wants just a poke, hence the twice, to get the effect of a poke from a switch that holds down, as it were. It's easier to explain with the use of a finger.
I think I need the finger then… I have had a long day, but don't understand the explanation! lol
Good point but if your circuit only requires a trigger then a latching switch can only supply that every second hit. It may be that while in the "half on" position that simply earthing it is a sufficient trigger hence the change of state by touching. I might be totally wrong though - I'm in the middle of a bad migraine and am finding it hard to think clearly (it took me 4 attempts to write the word "that" a minute ago) but it seemed to make sense to me during a moment of clarity.
That I understand… Assuming it's correct, it makes perfect sense! :-)
21. I thought a non-latching switch would just act as a momentary switch (so only work as long as it's held down)…? Will that be the cause of the 'touch' issue as well?
22. Hi, I have a Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Modulator. I was having some issues with the foot switch where I had to press it 4 or 5 times for it to turn off… As such I took it to a local store who replaced the foot switch for a new one for me today. Just got in and tried the pedal and something very odd is happening… firstly it seems to be on a 2-press cycle, so pressing the foot swich means it only works every other time without fail, so pressing in sequence is - On, On, Off, Off, On, On, Off, Off etc… Secondly, whilst the pedal is 'on', just touching the foot switch turns the pedal on and off. By touching I mean literally like you would touch an iPhone. This works while the jack is either connected to an instrument, or held in your hand. If you unplug from the bass and put the jack on the floor then the touch sensitive system doesn't work. Its as if th pedal is taking a charge from me and using that to electrically turn the pedal on and off… Confused? I am! I will obviously take it back tomorrow to the chap that fitted the new switch, but wondered if anyone could shed some light on either the 2-press cycle, or the odd 'touch' control its developed! Shep
23. Great pedal. Buy it. Nuff' said! :-)
