Looks fantastic. ....and pickups without exposed polepieces (hurrah).
Ha! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the look of exposed polepieces. Always looks a little to 'guitary' for me. -
Quickly out growing your mini? Perhaps you are heading back to a larger pedaltrain again!

No no no.... I am not taking a bigger board again... I can carry this one!
OK... Spoke too soon. My new board is the biggest yet! Lol

Thats what I'm looking at now. Some 2nd hand Korg EA-1's on the bay'. I just wanted to investigate any options people may know of that would fit on the pedalboard 1st, but I think your going to be right with the Drum Machine!
-
Cheers. The device already has tap tempo. However that's not accurate enough. I need to be able to choose a bpm and know at a glance that's what it's running at before switching it on!
-
Hi people, I need something that is, or that generates a midi clock signal and that has a visual display of what the the tempo is via LCD readout and that can send that signal to an external source. Red Sound used to make the Micro Sync & the Voyager 1, both of which would do the job, the are compact and allow you to set the tempo on the display and send that to an external device. They have both been discontinued and when they do crop up on eBay I always get sniped! Does anyone know of anything else that does this, that is reasonably sized and doesn't cost the earth? Shep

Hi people. Just back from a morning at Robbies. First off, what a top bloke. Friendly, professional and an impeccable taste in music. I was also more than delighted to be greeted with a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. Now THAT'S customer service! Took a few pics on the trusty iPhone, most of which are nothing you haven't already seen, but it's so stunning you can't have too many pictures of the Marseer. Robbie offers plenty of flexibility in the build process, an wile I have been pretty specific already about components, he found a few other things for me to make a decision over. Size & Colour of side dots - Robbie had a few options on offer and a million more option he could lay his hands on. We settled on 2.38mm brass tube, with the centre filled in black. Guna' look killer! RIM logo - Robbie had a good choice of pre-prepared 'R' logo's for the headstock in all manner of woods. Pic of my choice... Pickup switching - The Delano's come with option switching for series/single coil/parallel and a few other options as well. As the Aguilar pre has plenty of EQ on tap as well as a switch to select mid frequency, adding another 2 switches seemed overkill. Plus, having sampled the pickups and pre before, I felt they offer me everything I need. As such they will be wired in series with no switching options. Pics of the body with the lovely pickups in place... And for good measure another pic of the awesome fishtail and the current state of the (somewhat square) neck, being lovingly watched over by Boba Fett... -

I thought this was going to avoid being a filter discussion ;-) Every pedal has strengths and weaknesses. The 3Leaf is the best I've used for 'my' application of an Envelope Filter. I've never had the need for expression pedals with a filter, just never found that I personally had a need. -
Uh oh that makes it even more attractive - did you have to import it from the States? Without wanting to divert this into an envelope filter thread which other ones have you had that the GR is better than apart from the DiscumBob?
I did import it from the states but its reasonably priced and I asked them to declare it as less than it was so I avoided import fees I have owned… Chunk Systems Agent 00Funk DiscumBOBulator DOD FX25b MXR M82 EBS Bass IQ Plus all the envelope parts of many synth pedals. My best bud owns a Lovetone Meatball which I like, but there is too much rubbish it can do as well. The 3Leaf is basically all the real bass friendly bits of the Meatball stripped out and put in an easy to use pedal, with what sounds to me like much better tracking on the low end. I had a play on a Meatwad, which I guess is the mid point between the Meatball and the Groove Regulator, but really struggled to get a nice sound from it. Groove Regulator just works for me! Thats enough in this thread about filters! Look… Glowing pedal board!!! :-) -

Velcro like any other pedalboard. The surface is great and velcro sticks solid, but leaves no residue when you peel it off (with some force!). I'm using white velcro so that little bit more light seeps through around the pedals. Groove regulator is without doubt the best Envelope I have ever owned. It was the only pedal that ever sounded better than my DiscumBOBulator and I can't see me getting shot. So much more solid sounding that a Meatball or Meatwad and much much cheaper. The tracking on a low B is unreal! -

My Limited Edition Monkey Dream Board (Ghost Monkey X-3012) finally arrived! Pedals are not stuck down or patched in yet, but here are some pics… Daylight, board not activated… Daylight, board activated… Dark (eg. Dim lit stage)… Love it! With VAT added and Parcel Farce's fees the board basically cost the same as a PedalTrain2, with the exception that it does not come with a case (But I'm sure I can find a keyboard case to fit). Its 30" x 12", super light weight plexi-glass (literally weighs nothing) and comes fitted with all the LED's etc. Love it or hate it… I think its awesome! lol -
Looking good. And I still think that headstock design is the best in the business!! D.
I had that very conversation last night with a friend of mine. Amazing how a boring headstock 'can' ruin the overall look of a bass. He is a long time Stingray player and wouldn't play anything else... But we both agreed on the RIM shape being the coolest headstock on the Market, followed by the LeFay shape (the curvy one on the Remington Steele)... We couldn't decide on a 3rd. -

And more updates!!!! Headstock drilled for machine heads/sperzels and the RIM logo cut out (but not fitted)... Control section all drilled and pots fitted... I am truly impressed with Robbies workmanship & dedication to the project. Seriously great. -
If you'd have bought a really good car it would have depreciated to almost nothing and have cost you a fortune in running costs. Buying lots of basses is a much better investment.
Agreed…. Amp etc included I prob have 10k worth… Oh my...
