Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!
pantherairsoft replied to dudewheresmybass's topic in Effects
Velcro like any other pedalboard. The surface is great and velcro sticks solid, but leaves no residue when you peel it off (with some force!). I'm using white velcro so that little bit more light seeps through around the pedals. Groove regulator is without doubt the best Envelope I have ever owned. It was the only pedal that ever sounded better than my DiscumBOBulator and I can't see me getting shot. So much more solid sounding that a Meatball or Meatwad and much much cheaper. The tracking on a low B is unreal! -

My Limited Edition Monkey Dream Board (Ghost Monkey X-3012) finally arrived! Pedals are not stuck down or patched in yet, but here are some pics… Daylight, board not activated… Daylight, board activated… Dark (eg. Dim lit stage)… Love it! With VAT added and Parcel Farce's fees the board basically cost the same as a PedalTrain2, with the exception that it does not come with a case (But I'm sure I can find a keyboard case to fit). Its 30" x 12", super light weight plexi-glass (literally weighs nothing) and comes fitted with all the LED's etc. Love it or hate it… I think its awesome! lol -

Build Diary - RIM Marseer 6 Custom
pantherairsoft replied to pantherairsoft's topic in Build Diaries
Looking good. And I still think that headstock design is the best in the business!! D.
I had that very conversation last night with a friend of mine. Amazing how a boring headstock 'can' ruin the overall look of a bass. He is a long time Stingray player and wouldn't play anything else... But we both agreed on the RIM shape being the coolest headstock on the Market, followed by the LeFay shape (the curvy one on the Remington Steele)... We couldn't decide on a 3rd. -

And more updates!!!! Headstock drilled for machine heads/sperzels and the RIM logo cut out (but not fitted)... Control section all drilled and pots fitted... I am truly impressed with Robbies workmanship & dedication to the project. Seriously great. -

Another update from Robbie… looks as though he's been hard at work… New bridge arrived and the pickup cavities routed… Some shots of the rear with the neck screw holes all drilled… -
Great, easy, hassle free transaction. Bob bought my PedalTrain Mini, paid promptly and had perfect comms throughout. Top bloke! Cheers Shep
If you'd have bought a really good car it would have depreciated to almost nothing and have cost you a fortune in running costs. Buying lots of basses is a much better investment.
Agreed…. Amp etc included I prob have 10k worth… Oh my...
-
If you consider the Roscoe Century Standard I have at the mo, and the cost of the RIM Marseer & GB Spitfire Basses which are being built and nearing completion at the mo the figure is horrific. 3 instruments and I could of bough a really good car… And thats before you even touch amps and cabs… If I was to add others I've owned over the last 2 years… Overwater Evolution, Warwick Thumb, Godlyke Disciple, KSD Proto-J, Yamaha TRB… I need to go have a sit down! :-(
-
3 of the most beautiful basses (My Roscoe's pretty nice as well) :-) hehe. Yeah dude, it looks lovely. Bernie was really against the Spalted to start with and even last week as concerned that I would need it stained and coloured etc. When he called me today he was like, "well, actually, its bloody lovely". Spalted = Win I'm really happy with this now. Truss Rod going in today. Things are moving pretty quick!
-
Had a good chat with Bernie today and a few pics of an update! Things have moved along well, the neck is blocked and I have to say it is a stunning beast! He has mounted and applied some white spirit to the top to give the impression of what it will look like lacquered. Before doing this Bernie was a little concerned that the bass was not going to be 'pretty' enough, however after applying the spirit he seems to of changed his mind! We are going to apply a very very fine shading around the edges to blend the top in, but overall I think the top looks great! Neck & Fretboard Body Shep
Yep, you get a whole page to yourself.
Crikey! I was expecting the text I sent to be edited down to about 50 words in the corner of a page!
Ahh, is that you in that messy room with the cables running behind the radiator?
Yeah… but the radiators broken so it's fine! The room is a drum teachers studio. There are 3 kits set up and another 3 on the shelves. The room is bloody tiny! Thankfully we are just a 2 piece though so can get away with rehearsing in it! Hopefully I can hunt a copy of the Mag down this week!
-
Anyone got the brand new one in the last day or so? Mark @ BassDirect, Robbie @ RIM and Bernie @ GB have all told me the review of the TC BG500 amp I won is n there and I went to my usual place to buy a copy to be told they aren't stocking it anymore! Nottingham seems to be BGM void :-(

Cheers Russ, I just downloaded the trail version but it won't let you import files unless you buy a full copy… Not keen to part with €60 for one track Anyone here already have guitar pro and want to do me a huge favour!? :-) -
What are you transcribing at the moment?
pantherairsoft replied to Faithless's topic in General Discussion
Finished.. I've made a quick rush through it.. What a wicked bassline! If's anyone's after dipping into varies styles, it's a must to learn - a nice example of pure Pop/RnB stuff.. transcription..:
A friend of mine's band do a great cover of it… Have a listen - http://www.myspace.com/otherleft I'm working on 'Come See About Me' by the Supremes, but given the quality of recording its proving harder than expected! -
Hi People, Can anyone help with the tab for this track. It's not very often I learn other peoples material, and when I do it's not often I ask for help… It sounds fairly simple, but the old mix on the track makes it hard to pick out. If anyone can help it would be hugely appreciated! Shep
