1. The Spitfire 6 will rock! Obviously :-)
2. Bough his Guyatone PS3. Exactly what I needed, well packaged, posted quickly and great comms. Awesome. Cheers bud!
3. The last part of the puzzle arrived. Mini board V.2 This seems to suit my needs for the time being. I miss having an Envelope and a Fuzz for playing with, but for actually use with other musicians at the mo, this does the job perfect! As before, plus the Guyatone PS3 Phase Shifter
4. Thanks bud. I have posted on the Victor Wooten at Digital Village thread in General Bass Discussion also. Shep Shame - these went to waste :-(
5. A fretless guitar!!!!!! What ever next.
6. As the title suggests. I got the tickets and a mate was driving as I don't have a car. Today he pulls out. My spare ticket is up for grabs to anyone who wants to drive. I will pay my half of the petrol money as well I'm in Nottingham. Anyone?
7. Anyone driving down via Nottingham?? My good friend and lift has just pulled out. It was a 'I'll get the tickets, you drive' deal and now he can't go... I can't afford the £55 return train journey, but if anyone is passing Notts I would be more than happy to throw them some petrol money.. And even a spare ticket if they have a mate they want to bring!! PM me (pweeeese ) Shep
8. Sean bought a couple of pedals from me during my clearout. All hassle free. Friendly chap to deal with! Cheers Shep
9. Tom bought my feedback looper. Easy transaction. All good! Cheers mate Shep
10. Owen bought my mini looper. Simple hassle free transaction. Cheers bud! Shep
11. Price drop to £40 in the Custom Mid-Booster. George L's still available.
12.
Hi Shep, would you mind sending me his email address?
Sorry for the lateness... PM'd!
13. Me with Rupert today. In addition to the above comments, he bought my PedalTrain2. Genuinely nice chap (who let me have a play on his groove regulator!). Top stuff. Cheers bud
14.
Nice board Shep! Did you end up buying a PT mini in the end? I absolutely love mine. And with some creative layout planning you can cram a lot onto the mini.
I did mate, with the money from pedal sales. All good. Have a final mini pedal on it's way to try out on there as well which I think will work nice as well. Pics to follow
15.
 less is more - just got me a polytune, aren't they the coolest tuner ever?
Without a doubt!
16.
The DD-20 manual shows you (on page 26) all the different relationships you can set between the tap tempo and the delay time in terms of note lengths. I personally don't have a DD-20, but I've fiddled with one for a good long while and as long as I had the TEMPO thing set to a crotchet (quarter note, call it what you will ) the delay time was equal to the tap tempo. And, of course, you can set it to quavers (two delays per tap) or triplet quavers (three delays per tap). That's the beauty of the beast! Dotted notes are always a good one with delays.
As the man says, You can alter it… quite right. To change between BPM & Delay Time just hold 'TAP' button for 2 seconds. Shep
17.
Nice. I recently got a DD-20 and i've been struggling a little. Probably because I didn't take the time to learn it with guitar or bass before adding it to my drum pedalboard. Anyway, do you find the tap tempo function OK? Mine reacts ok to differences in tempo of tapping, but the tempo of the delays don't bear much relation to the tempo of the tap.
Hmmm…. I love the pedal, but use the 2 headed tape delay and the Warp setting the most… This was my first Tap Tempo delay pedal so I don't have much to compare to.When using it at rehearsal, if I tap a solid rhythm along with whats being played then start playing it does react in time with the music, but not in the sense of one foot tap per delay so to speak. Almost like the delay is double time to the tap. I do find it easier to get my hear around when you change the display from Milisec's to BPM! Shep
18. After the huge clear out, I have stuck with the following… It does all I need, with the only other sounds coming from the Overdrive section of my EBS Fafner head…. TC Electronics Polytune EBS Unichorus Boss DD-20 Delay Patched together with George L's, on a Pedal Train Mini, Powered by a Diago Powerstation. Simple, effective, light, etc etc etc Shep
19. Rupert bought some George L's from me. Polite, good communication, paid instantly. Couldn't ask for more! Cheers Bud Shep
20. I used to play in a band called Salt:Burn, we used to rehearse 3 nights a week, or 3 hours a time, and often slotted a gig in as well. it was a lot, but we were a tight as a ducks arse and as such got some pretty high profile gigs at the time. These days, with Aphemia, I rehearse 1 night a week, on a Wednesday, for 3 hours, which is actually about 2 hours when you take out the amount of gear we have to set up and breakdown. Thats enough, and we are still tight as hell. I'd say once a week is enough time, unless you feel as musicians you need extra work.
21.
I'm pleased to hear things have come together well for you. You do realise, of course, that you will be required to let me test drive each of them at some point
I'm sure that can be arranged... I'd like to give your fretless another go at some point as well... Determined not to let that fretboard all the way to the pickup stuff defeat me
22.
Flippin' heck mate! you've gone custom mad!
It's the only way mate. I will soon have my dream trio
23. Just to let y'all know I have update the pics of the Myrtle top in post 1. Robbie found another drop dead gorgeous top which I just had to have, so the new top is shown above… and its bloody lovely!
24.
Awesome I love Robbies work.
Agreed! Very original and very stylised. I'm not a huge fan of traditional really, it takes something really special in a classic shape to appeal to me (although there are the odd ones), but Robbie's stuff just does it for me, and his finishes are always stunning
