1.
Thanks very much for the above guys, seems pretty unanimous, so guess what I've suggested our guit*rist does.......? Cheers Chris
Use an accoustic guitar?
 2. Wades still there I think, works in the design studio with a load of my best friends. Games development I think...? Anyway back on topic!!! I have 2 other unpainted pedals due this week which I shall also do a simple paint job on for fun... Then the board is jam packed! Sweeeeet It may not look like it from the pics for the word 'Looper' has 4 shades of red through to yellow, layered to look cool... But the pics from my Iphone so it looks popp :-)
 3. I didn't work in retail for them, but if your talking about Nikos that worked in the Warhammer World shop then yes, I knew him!
 4. No worries mate, pop it in the post. I used to work at Games Workshop headoffice and used I to be involved in painting pretty little toy soldiers... Was nice to find a use for all my old paints and brushes :-)
 5. Still waiting on the new bits turning up... But I got bored and had hal an hour spare earlier so I broke out the paint brushes... It's not great but looks cool from eye level to pedal board level and is a little more interesting than a plain pedal!
 6. Gorgeous.
 7. Bought my DD3. Great comms. No hassle at all!
 8. Bought my Boss TU-2. Easy transaction, paid promptly, great comms. Would deal with again without hesitation! Shep
 9.
Just listened to ya stuff. v good. good to hear an english band who aren't emo, trad or indie. particularly like fal from grace. production good on that one too
Thanks very much mate. Really appreciate the feedback!
Bought a Boss TU-2 from shep, good guy to deal with, good communications, good price and swift delivery.
Cheers bud Other feedback left for me by Bassnut 62 (Left on the comments section of my profile page…) after 2 transactions with the fine fellow… "straight up, reliable and easy guy to deal with. Fast delivery of goods, which were exactly as described. Thanks Bassnut62" AND "I bought a pedaltrain2 from Shep as well now. I can now confirm he is definitely a straight up, reliable and easy guy to do some business with. Thanks."
 10.
sounds cool. do you have a link? clips? cheers
No It hasn't arrived yet! I was doing the same thing with an EQ pedal with only the 400Hz boosted, which seemed a waste of an EQ pedal and took up too much space. So Umph has made me the 1 band boost so the EQ pedal can be kept for other uses. The sound is quite fantastic when run with the XXL... Gives it more substance. When I put the board together I will attempt to record som clips for you...
 11.
do you have any details about the mammoth mid booster?
Hey, Yes, it's a mini/Catalinbread sized pedal with a footswitch and a single knob. The pedal goes from 0db to 15db boost at 400Hz So with the knob turned fully anti clockwise there is no effect, increasing as the knob is turned clockwise. It sits before the dirt pedals in chain and it will be used as a 'dirt driver'... Effectively turning 2 dirt pedals into 4. Whacking 10db of mid before the BT or XXL adds an additional layer of aggression, so I can use either pedal, or either pedal + Mid Boost. Shep
 12. New toys in the house!! The last of my bits arriving early next week. Not yet put the board together but on paper it looks something like this... SFX custom Interface Box -> TC Elec Polytune -> EB HighGain Volume Pedal -> Loop Pedal (with all of the following in it's loop) -> MammothSounds Audio custom Mid-Booster -> MXR Blowtorch -> Tech 21 XXL Bass Edition -> EBS Octabass -> EMMA DiscumBOBulater (with custom SFX switch) -> MammothSounds Audio Chimaera Feedback Loop (with the follwing two pedals in it's loop) -> EBS Unichorus -> Boss DD-20 Giga Delay -> (back to Chimaera) -> (back to Loop Pedal) -> (back to Interface Box) -> Phew... I am considering replacing the Loop Pedal with The Feedback Loop as it is a dual pedal one, acting as a Loop and/or a Feedback Loop. Effectively having all pedals available within the Feedback Loop rather than just the Chorus and Delay. I am however slightly concerned about popping the wrong switch in a live situation and rather than going from 4 or 5 effects straight back to clean, instead forcing them all through the Feedback Loop... Which could be interesting. Pics as soon as I get chance to build the damn thing... DD-20 absolutely rocks by the way :-)
 13. New toy from [SFX]… Interface box to protect my ever growing pedal board. This provides (and I quote)… - Electrostatic protection on input/output. It protects the pedals from electrostatic charges that can be carried through the jacks. - EMI protection. Filters the input from radio interferences. - Polarity and overvoltage protection. If the input power supply voltage is too high or the wrong polarity the device protects the pedals. - Power supply filtering. The unit filters the power supply from spikes and noise. - Mechanical protection. When the unit is installed in the pedalboard, none of the pedals is subject to mechanical stress through the input/output connectors. I have also picked up a Jim Dunlop High Gain volume pedal for some crazy swells with growling effects and feedback. My DD-3 is leaving the building and a DD-20 is replacing it this week, plus another 2 small custom items from Mammoth sounds are joining me as well. Lovely :-)
 14.
I'm in a band called Oni. Heavily influenced by Deftones thanks to the lead's obsession with them I joined in January and they've not got round to updating the Myspace yet but there's some demo tracks on there (featuring the old bassist) so feel free to have a mooch and add us. www.myspace.com/onibanduk
I like! Good stuff. You definately need to get some of the stuff recorded, mixed and mastered properly. Lots of potential!
Alas not.
Shame. Still cool all the same!
Gosh, I'm starting to blush now Thanks again
Agreed on that track. Definately my fav' on there!
 15. Both sold
 16. DD-3 is now officially for sale (£60 Posted). TU-2 sold. Shep
 17.
Playing with a band called Peach: www.myspace.com/peachtheband
Not the same 'Peach' that Justin Chancellor was with before he joined Tool then? :-) Really glad I got this thread going. Some awesome stuff been added to my play list on the back of this. Looking forward to some of you playing gigs locally to myself! Shep
 18. Wattage doesn't really mean much between manufacturers.. My EBS Session 60 is a 60w 1x10 and is about 3 times as loud as my good friends 100w 1x15 (might be a 1x12, I forget) Fender Rumble. It's not so much the wattage, more how the technology behind the amp drives them.
 19.
Yeah I can see what you mean. Thanks for the nice comment as well. I think Reuben is our biggest influence, in all but vocal style.
I supported Reuben a few years ago. My only gig on the main stage at Nottingham Rock City. Was my old band (Sideshow), then Capdown, then Reuben. Was a good night!
 20.
I'll have to check those two out, never heard of them.
Ha. usually the way. More Sinch than Chevelle… All good though. 2 of my Fav's
 21.
I'm in a few covers/function bands. All with cringe worth names. My originals band is Without Warrant. There's a link to our myspace below. We're a 3 piece currently on hold as our singer/guitarist is in the land of Oz. Parts of our songs sound like Reuben, parts like Deftones, parts like Silverchair and parts like Muse. 'An Open Space' and 'A Parting Shot' are my favourite.
Really liking the stuff dude! Agree with A Parting Shot being a good track (Cool bass sound!). I hear lots of Sinch and Chevelle in the sound, particuarly the guitar work, which is no bad thing!
 22. Wicked. See... I knew this was a good idea!!
 23.
Good band Pantherairsoft, loving the Apartment 26/Filter kinda vibe. How much is your E.P?
Cheers dude. I hear Filter in it as well, but it seems the rest of te guys arn't so into them... Ironic really. As for the EP, I think it's 79p a track on iTunes, if you want a CD drop me a PM and I'll have a word with the guys an see if there are any from the last production run left. Shep
 24.
Kind words are always appreciated so thank you. I'll be sure to pass on the compliments to the vocalist's. Thanks again.
Oh yeah, sweet bass playing too
 25.
I am currently working with an act by the name of Buswell.
Really cool stuff. Would love to hear it with the Orchestra idea as well. Kinda like what Mike Patton is currently doing with Mondo Cane. Nice vocal work as well!
OK, I'll join in. My band's Maya29
Not sure why but your Myspace has some Gangsta' Rap stuff playing as background music which I can't seem to locate a way to stop it! :-) You have to 'pop-out' the player and close Myspace to listen to your stuff.
