1. Bought some George L's. Quick postage. Top stuff. Cheers bud!
2. £5 tops seems fair. If there's enough people, maybe ask Rob @ Magnet studios and hire out a large room or two...? He does snacks etc, has a backline of Ampegs, Mesa and a few others and we get both sealed rooms and the foyer for loud/quiet spaces Just an idea
3. ... Like me! Again... Dammit. Wonder if we can postpone the wedding to free up some pennies :-)
4. Easily justified. Sell the TU2, you'll get an easy £40 on eBay, then your only paying an extra £35 or so for the Polytune. Bargain :-)
5. It works perfect with my 6 string fretless. The tracking is absolutly spot in. I am truely Impressed! I tend to use it chromatically anyway, but the polytune feature is sure to impress your friends
6. Mine was a Status Shark II 5 string. Red with White scratch plate. Fell in love, bought it and owned it for 2 years. Was sold due to poverty. It was mine from 2000-2002. I'd love to know where it is now
7. That caught my eye as well! Very pretty... I'm planning on going all 6 now, finding the Roscoe neck the most comfortable I've played beside the GB. The 6 will hbe similar dimensions I think. My desire to own a huge collection has totally drifted recently. One fretted, one fretless is looking like it will be the way for me. Amp wise, I'm sold on the EBS.
8.
Very nice evolving collection you have there, Shep. When's the Spitfire 6 coming along? Rich.
Hey Rich, it will be a while yet I'm afriad. It's going to be something very special... As such it may take longer than expected. Also worth noting it will be the first ever Spitfire 6. Untill then I'm rather happy with the set up I have!.
9.
Update 2 - Collection of faulty combo happened today as promised. Yet another nod for Bass Direct's service. Looking forwards to recieving the replacement.
As promised the replacement has arrived. Works perfect! Almost no operating noise at all and no vibrations. What a fantastic little combo. Impressive top end due to the tweeter and handles a low B far better than I imagined it could. Having blown a couple of Peavey MicroBass combo's in the past I was reluctant, buy my god… the lap tones this amp allows is stunning. Real loud and compact and punchy. The tone is clearly EBS, but not quite as clean as the big ams so you guys a little unsure of the sound may appreciate it. Perfect little home practice/small gig amp. Very happy
10. Have 4 small additions coming over the next 4 weeks. 2 custom builds, one boutique and one mass Market. The board is going to kick bottom! Can't wait.
11. 1 of 212 is enough with the Fafner, that's generally what I use. It's 600w and the Fafner pushes much less than that into a 4ohm cab and it's bloody loud with loads of clarity. It's enough to keep up with a full metal band. Have a 2nd 212 is you really need the volume. I found the 212 to sou d clearer and more defined than the 410 anyway. But that's just me. I'd go try them all
12. Actually, I wanted a second 212. The honest reason I got a 115 was because I got it uber cheap from a friend who was selling off his second rig and I paid next to nothing for it. I actually played through just the 115 the other day though and was very impressed by it's top end response thanks to the tweeter and huge bottom. In honesty it's still a suitable stand alone can. None of this '15's are really bottomy' rubbish!. I'd part with the 115 for another 212 though, just for the sake of matching them up!
13. I find the EBS cabs handle the bottom end very very well. My 212 handles more than enough bottom end without loosing definition. I find the EBS cabs handlethe top end better than ANY others in my experience. The tweeters on the NEO range are fantastic and they love that 'Bernie ping' at the top. The cabs are a little mid shy though, which I find conpliments the GB, but I end up EQ'ing in a little mid back in with my Roscoe.
14. I like Bernie pickups with the GB logo on them, like these... They're pretty cool. Not keen on these with the name printed across them though. Love the colour on this bass though. Real deep aqua like. Very nice
15. I think they work out cheaper in the states. But not by much. Massive price tags. But the Celinders and the like of this world show you can get that kind of quality without the stupid price tag (not that they are exactly cheap!). If take this over an Alembic any day.
16. Looks quite Overwater-like. Which is no bad thing. It is quite beautiful. Me likes
17. My baby... One thing I'm not struggling with is volume... 2ohm goodness :-) EBS Fafner, modded with blue LED's EBS Neoline 212 EBS Neoline 115 Auralex GRAMMA pad Ideally I'll change the 115 for another 212... But this 'will do' untill then :-)
18.
GAS
Me too... I want a Pedal Train Jnr now to run with my PT2... In a right angle... Going to try and build a wall of effects to keep the rest ofthe band out ;-)
19. They are very good live. This is the 2nd time I've seen them in 6 months an they have been great both times. They reproduce loads of sounds from the album well, including the electric xylophone! :-)
20. Perfect for the project I have on at the mo as well! Bummer. £500 and I'll take it now ;-)
21. It was f'ing awesome... Sorry! I'd gonas far to say I'd put it in my top 10 of all time :-)
22. Hi, consider selling at all? Question as well... When your not using an effect that requires an expression pedal, can the pedal be used as a general volume pedal? Shep
