Which can have you got? A Neo 2x12?
That's the one. Seems like it's going to do the trick! :-) As an EBS can user... How does the -db work on the can attenuation dial... I understand the tweeter being boosted buy +3db, bit not sure I understand how effect it under 0. Do I assume that at 0 the Tweeter is off, and as you move into -db territory the dial cuts top end buy dialled amount from the cab speakers as a whole? As the dial goes above 0 then the tweeter kicks in to boost said frequencies... (Sorry wrong forum for such discussion, answer me via PM if you prefer...)

Welcome to the forum... :-)

Just completed a part-ex deal with Mike. Great chap, brill communication, made the journey up to collect a cab and drop off a bass, had a good chat and he stole a cup of tea... Other than that, a real gent and a pleasure to deal with! Cheers Shep
Glad to hear that it's working out! That Spitfire is a beaut and the scratchplate really sets it off. I've noticed that you are now Markbass/EBS - hows that working out? Markbass heads/EBS cabs or Markbass cabs/EBS head?
I have an EBS cab in my posession at the moment, which I expect will be staying with me. I have considered shifting from my SA450 Markbass head, to a EBS HD350 given the reasonable 2nd hand prices, would need to sell the MarkBass to buy the EBS, leaving me head-less for a period of time... Also I do actually like the MarkBass head... I did the EBS heads exploit the top end a little better but find that the markbass has a slightly more 'all round' sound... To my ear of course! Unless I find a trade deal, my head for your head so to speak, I expect I will stick with MarkBass heads. I do currently have Microbass II pedal at the mo which I find great in a live situation, but rather poor for home/quiet studio work given the way you balance the the channel volumes. The clean channel sounds nice with the GB. The Overdriven channel sounds nice with my Overwater... I have put that up for sale to be honest... What I would say about the ebs cab is that the tweeter is very different to that of the markbass tweeter, far more defined. Which I like.

I doubt this will be going anywhere short of disaster striking... Great instrument. The new scratch plate grew on me in a big way, prefer it to the 'standard' one to be honest... Hopefully Bernie will make me a few so I can change them depending on mood :-)
That's a lovely looking piece of wood on the floor!! Oh, and the basses don't look too bad either! That Warwick is a real beaut. I don't usually go for Warwicks, but if I did, the Thumb 5 would definitely be "the one"!!
Cheers... It's laminate :-) My Thumb is 'the one'. buy it! Lol. Cheers for the kind comments
Oh yeah I didn't notice that!! Well actually if I am being hyper critical I think I preferred the old shape 'plate, but it's a stunning bass and I bet it's very comfortable. ped
At first glance I thought the same, but looking down at it, the plate just looks so 'right'... I don't think there is a better way to explain it... It is a fantastically balanced bass, sits a little nicer on the knee and is far lighter than the Overwater, but feels and sounds very different to play. Still stunned by the amazing highs....
That's the nicest looking GB I have seen so far!
Thank you sir... I agree! It is the first with the new scratch plate style (new shape and no screws!). Love it!

Worth thinking about Jazz. The Low B is fantastic and the EQ means you can get just the right growl out of it!

Also some pics of my current collection at the mo... My amp/cab situation is due to change soon so will update all as my Markbass 106HF has now sold, when its replacement is around I will post some pics... The Warwick is currently up for sale and so may be leaving my soon. I am however due to receive a Godlyke Disciple 5 in the near future, which may also not stay for long... depends on how I take to it... :-)

Hi people, It's been a while since I added to this... so here is my new arrival... GB Spitfire Duck-Egg Blue with god-knows-what colour scratch plate :-) Ash body Tiger-Stripe Maple neck Indian Rosewood Board Chrome and Matt Grey hardware 19mm string spacing, 35" scale Crazy GB Electronics, including the Metronome and Tuner upgrades It's worth noting that due to lighting the Spitfire appears quite different in terms of how 'bright' the blue is on various shots... The second and third shots (body front close ups) are the most accurate... the others border on electric blue which the bass is actually quite far from.

+1 to what Jazz said! :-) And here are a few pics of mine.... Ash Body - Finished in Duck egg blue, with matching headstock Tiger-Stripe Maple neck Indian Rosewood Board All the usual crazy electronics, including the tuner and metronome 19mm string spacing 35" scale Surprising light as well! Notice the scratch plate... no screws... held on by Goodfellow magic! More pics in my Gear thread Took a while to get the neck and action right due to shipping in the cold... something Bernie was reluctant to do but I insisted! 2 days later... here we are, plays great, action is low and feels perfect to my hands. Tonally it is absolutely stunning. A little less 'Natural' bass than my Overwater, but with the huge boost the EQ can give you I can match that easily. Top end... well... like nothing on the planet. Bernie and the guys really have thought of everything as well... when I first plugged it in, the metronome was deafening and I was initially a tad worried that it would be unusable... but then he called me, to make sure I had received it and was happy with everything (Quality after service!) and talked me though the internal control system for it so I could turn it down. Very happy, stunning bass... :-)
