Bought a Tech 21 XXL from Paul, great to deal with and no issues at all. Great stuff! Shep

Externally, the scratch plate is different and the pick up in a slightly different place, but I can't recall what else, or which is which. When I had mine about 7 years ago the head stock said Status Shark II, which is the only reason I know a 'II' model exists... If you look at the version on the bay, the scratch plate does not have the 'horn' with the dials mounted on it and th pick up is further back... Yours is prettier the way it is though without a doubt!

Many of the older Boss pedals do seem to be at least as good as the current range, most better. Not had the chance to try a vintage delay, but I do like my DD-3. Go for the flanger... In fact, buy mine!
Good to hear that you've got something sorted. Your cab sounds fantastic and would suit me down to the ground, but a round trip from newcastle to collect it would add another fifty or sixty quid to the price in fuel, and a whole day's travel Ebay seems really sluggish at the moment - which is another reason I can't offer you what you want, as my two basses didn't even reach their reserve prices and I just don't have £650 hanging around at the mo... Another "deal of the century" slips through my fingers!!
No worries dude, and I totally understand the journey... Given the weather at the mo it makes that part even worse! I have had a few deal of the century's fall through recently as well... It must be the season for it! :-) -
shep YOU NEED TO KEEP IT, you will regret selling.
I can't mate. It's just too big for a man living on the 9th floor and I'm not touring or playing big gigs so this needs to go to a good home. I have a Barefaced T'Double Midget on the way which will be plenty loud enough for anything I see myself doing in the near future, and is far more realistic for where I live. Me and Mike have a deal worked out that suits us both if I don't get the asking price in the next few days. All good! -

I know, I know... Still here crazy! Right, here is the score... The cab was listed in eBay until today and as it has not sold I will not be relisting it. I will take the full asking of £650 and not a penny less, no part ex, no trades. That's more than a fair price and one I'm not shifting on. If no one comes up with the £650 then this cab will be going to Mike_SuperThursday first thing in the new year in a deal which suits us both enough to make it work. Basically if you are considering this cab still, you have very little time to strike. Shep -

Honestly I could hear very very little difference, if anything I preferred the way the new Low Pass works on the digital circuit, thats why I sold my CE-2B and bought a new one and pocketed the difference. The flangers however seem very different! The BF-2B, to me sounds totally different to the current flanger models and seem to respond better to, and cut less Bass from the mix. I'm not a fan of the FL-2 or FL-3, but the BF-2B is very very good.
I'm really interested in the T'Double Midget. Do you know when you're getting it?
With any luck next week, but possible the new year. I shall find out and let you now!
is that an attempt at a yorkshire accent? ;o i'm not sure i've ever actually heard anyone say T in front of anything even in deepest darkest barnsley
The 'T' means it has a tweeter... but I'm sure you know that already! One of my best friends is from Barnsley and still lives there... and there is a very distinct 'T' before everything!!!
Any interest in a Foxrox Octron or Boss CS-1 (does the attack delay/swell thing really well)?
Hey AJ, Maybe the Octron... although I hear the tracking isn't great on the lower notes and I play a 5... true or not what you have found? I was not aware the CS-1 had anyway to do volume swells!!! Any idea where I can find a sound sample of such? Shep

Hi people, I have for sale the following... EBS MicroBass II - Highly regarded all singing, all dancing Pre-Amp/DI/Overdrive/Tube Sim/Effects Loop/A-B box and a million more things beside. Looks pristine as new, however the small -10db switch on the side works, but does not stay in, so if you wanted to use this you would need to add a bit of tape to hold it down. It's a minor point, but worth mentioning! These things are very highly regarded, a quick google search will tell you all you need to know. Boxed complete with manuals etc - SOLD PENDING Will consider trades and part-ex towards a decent compression pedal (eg. EBS Multicomp) Or decent envelope filter (with a large filter sweep, I have a discumbobulator for the gentle wet sound) Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter - TRADED EHX Bass Blogger XO - TRADED Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus - TRADED Boss BF-2B Bass Flanger - SOLD EHX Bass MicroSynth XO - SOLD Happy to accept paypal payment (as long as you cover the fee's), bank transfer or cash on collection. Will post 1st class and cover the cost myself, if you want special delivery etc it's at your cost.

I have read this thread the while way through... And it was a read and a half! :-) I agree with about 50%, and read the rest as peoples frustration. None of the comments read here put me off. I currenty play MarkBass, who have a great reputation. I am however on my 3rd MarkBass Amp head due to the last 2 dying on me! I still use them though. In the very near future I will be the owner of the 1st T'Double Midget cab, I'm excited about recieiving it and not at all put off by others views and experiences. Shep
