1. Your mad Jazz... We both know how these sound!!! Don't do it.
2. Mine was Stuck Mojo... supported from Psycore and Kill II This. Had never seen a mosh pit before, and I was stood in the middle when Mojo started. I was nearly killed... good gig though!
3.
you and jim should do a trade
Already investigated that one... I need the pennies for other stuff really. As such, this is STILL available.
4. cheers guys. Have realised if i want other luxury items i need to save or be poor... Not sell items i already have! Saying that... Someone buy my markbass 6x10!
5. Soft overdrive or fuzz and a Markbass head with the VLE filter (Vintage loud Speaker Emulator) and turn it waaaaaaaaaay up. Just had it now with my SA450 head and Bass Blogger pedal, well close anyway!
6.
I really am quite interested in this but have the following issues 1. I am in surrey 2. I have 2 orange cabs, which would have to go if I go down the markbass route
Hi mate, 1. It would be a bit of a road trip for you... but it would be worth it... 2. Sell the Orange and buy markBass... it would be worth it...
7.
Probably early if anything - I didn't arrive until 4.30 and wasn't really able to get a 'stand' as such sorted!! Next year it'll be all singing and dancing, believe me. Just been a bit off the pulse recently and didn't really get anything sorted. Poor effort on my part. But I enjoyed the show!! ped
Yes dammit, try harder :-) Was a good show all round. Very enjoyable
8. By the time I found what I believe was the 'Basschat stand' it was a table pushed up against the wall with about 10 tee's on it... so I'm guessing I was a bit late! :-) I agree that Randy is not a 'solo' kind of player. But look at youtube... you can see what he is capable of with a little prep!!!
9. My first Bassday. Loved it. Was great to meet a few people. I have left with horrid GAS, but hey ho! Randy was a let down, and I was really looking forward to that performance, but everything else was great. I tried so many basses it was hard to decipher them all. GB Spitfire my fav, followed by the Everson range... massively surprised by how well they played and at £800 a piece they blew the socks off a few 2k plus priced basses I played that day!!! Poogie and the boys rocked and Nathan East was great and a fantastic singer as well (that surprised me!). Had a great day, stayed right to the end as well. I'll be there next year. I may even practice my slap as well to make up for the lack of slap bass around ;-)
10. Lol... Nerf's great... unless everyone else playing has kept their airsoft stuff!
11. I know. I'm already reconsidering in a big way. If I come up with another way to fund my hunger this will be kept! I have an armoury worth of airsoft gear I could part with first I guess :-(
12.
What price is this currently at? I am tempted to get something like this to go with my littlemark head and give up my quest to complete my orange stack That would mean I would have to sell 2 orange cabs (or at least one)
Its at £675, collected from Nottingham. Every time I type £675 it guts me! :-(
13.
Its way out of my price range but that has got to be the most beautiful dark wood basses I've ever seen in my entire life!
I agree with that. And when it goes i will kick myself. But this may be the only way to own another custom instrument. I doubt I'll ever own another bass that looks this good though!
14. This has now been traded. For anyone still interested in this beauty of a bass it can be located here... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...ater_Evo_5.html ------- I'm sure you have all seen this on various threads already, but have included pics below. This is pretty much brand spanking new. It is hardly 10 months old and I have had her from birth having picked the spec myself. This has never been gigged! Played only at home and 3 times in the studio. Stunning sound quality with the most thunderous low B you have ever heard (Just ask Chris at Overwater!!). Still with a stunning as new Overwater set up... To me this is the best example of an Overwater bass I have seen or played. Spec... Overwater Evolution 5 string Custom Fretted 35" scale Body: White Ash with Wenge top plate (with matching headstock, pick up covers AND 12th fret marker) Neck: 3 piece Maple with a Maple board (side dots, but only the Wenge Marker on the 12th) Hardware: Black - Hipshot style (with moveable saddles for string spacing) Electronics: OW BMT 3 band preamp and OW5 pickups (wood covers) Strings: OW Medium weight Nickels After adding the options etc and with the cost of the sheer amount of Wenge on this bass it's final cost came in at just over £2300 plus change. Comes with Strap locks installed and a Hiscox Hardcase. Pics... From overwater - From me under a natural light - More pics... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=overwater And, http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h44/pant...verwater%20Evo/ Quick... I'm already changing my mind... I must be mad!!!!
15.
Oh man! i hope you have a lift! or an incredibly strong back!
I do have a lift... But it's the weight in these that's surprising... Yes it is heavy, buy I CAN lift it. I tried lifting an ampeg of a similar size once... Never guna happen!
16.
Man! If i had a car or i didn't live three storeys up i would have loved this, Bump for a beautiful Cab at a ridiculous price.
I'm on the 9th floor!!!! And that's the ONLY real reason I'm selling. Sur I'm short of transport right now too, but other musicians have cars ;-)
17. Tell me about it! I'm considering keeping it now as I'm basically giving it away...
18. Not sure about everyone else but I can't download the file from the link... It dies give me loads of pop ups to William hill betting websites though!
19. All very last minute but I am now going to be there!!! (cheers Jazz!) Really looking forward to it! Fantastic!
20. You guys are surprised it hasn't shifted!!! I'm totally shocked... And with how low I've dropped it I may as well give it away! Blows the socks off any other large cab I've ever used. Going to seriously miss it!
21. Right people... I need to pay for something barefaced shaped. As such I am dropping the price on this to £675!!! That makes it chaper than any MarkBass 4x10 I have seen sell let along a 6x10, and means it's half retail for a fantastic cab! I have another purchase I want to pay for... So bite my hand off while you can!
22.
This is real messy because ive only just set it up.
No s**t!! Bet it sounds awesome though! :-)
