1. Giant BUMP, with the addition of every single pedal still in my possession. Time to change my life a little. If you want to come and try anything out, I am in Derby. PM me if you have any questions.
2. Hey folks, I have the following pedalboards up for grabs... Diago Tourman. The Showman's bug brother! Good condition, given it's been well gigged, again, a few external scuffs. £50 collected from Derby (no shipping a this time, I don't have the materials to package it, so it's priced to cover your petrol money!). I also have a HUGE custom pedalboard, 2-tier design, 2 man lift type thing from my old project, Our Helical Mind (shown in this vid -> ). The lower tier has a raised platform that I made, this can be removed if you don't mind the lip and want to save weight. I will also include a number of pedal risers that I made (shown below). As this is such a niche item I will sell this for £50, strictly collection only from Derby. It cost a bomb... But is taking up space, so first come, first served. External dimensions are 118 x 58 x 23cm. 3. Long long long overdue.... PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass I am very happy to present the very talented Ron Petzke of Bongripper fame. A man known for his serious, low, doomy tone, and a beast of a rig! Ron also knows his gear. He's moved through setups of various sizes, and road tested his fair share of amps and cabs. Ron was cool enough to spend some time going into great detail over the setup that he's currently rocking. Check out what he had to say...
4. It's a HUGE, nasty gated fuzz with 2 voices. She made about 12 of them before the design was changed to a slightly tamer version (called the bass fuzz), which there are also only about a dozen of, then the design was sold to Mountain King FX and eventually became the Magnatar (again, with changes). This is an original. It has masses of very low bass (40hz-ish) and then cuts part of the frequency range above it, then whats left is fuzzed in a nasty gated ear ripping mess. It's 2 voices are decent, one goes from a old warm fuzz upto nasty, and the other goes from synthy up to 'what the hell is that'.
5.
Excuse my ignorance, but what difference does it make to the sound if pedals are powered by battery rather than psu?
In many cases, none. However, some pedals refuse to share a power supply, so if you put them on a daisy chain they whine and make noise. This would make the pedal think it was isolated on it's own supply/battery. Also, some fuzz pedals, particularly really old ones sound quite different powered by battery, and some sound fairly dreadful with a power supply.

8. No such thing. Doesn't mean he's making it up though, given the poor description I'd assume he actually knows nothing about bass and googled 'Status', and found Mark King played one. On the other hand, the Groove Bass is one of the nicest basses I ever played tonally speaking. Still the best bang-for-buck bass ever made IMO.

DOD Meatbox

And it low-passes the signal to remove the highs. But also, the frequency curve of the meat box is quite unique IMO, I've never heard an EQ pedal boost areas of the frequency spectrum in quite the same way. You'd get much closer with an Octave pedal and a sweepable/static LPF (like the Moog) than with an octave and EQ setting, but still, it just isn't the same.
10. The rubber under the time factor is just glued on, same adhesive on sticky backed velcro. Just peel it off and save it for the future, then put the velco directly on the pedal. Simples!
11. Bump! Cab is now located in Derby for the purpose of collection and try out!
12. Of all the gear I've ever sold, this can has had the most enquiries by a loooooooooong way, and has suffered more changed minds than you shake a stick at. I though she was sold today, but alas, it's still here! BUMP! I will be moving house very soon, and so the can may be relocating to Derby in the near future.
13.
It's £13 return by coach. Just sayin'...
True! BUMP!
14. Daaaaammmmmmmn, I'd love this. I have a Glock preamp in my bass and I LOVE it.
15.
PM'd dude!
Replied!
Sorry to hear about the redundancy Shep :-(
No need to be sorry... Unless you're responsible!!!!?
16. Following a rather swift and unexpected redundancy this week, cash is now king. Final price drop to £800 collected. I'll still consider part-ex with a high quality 112 (must have a tweeter) plus cash! Shep
17.
I'm in Notts tomorrow (30th) if i got time could i pop in and take a look? Paul
Paul, I've just PM'd you to arrange.
18. Despite a huge amount of interest, this is still here. So... BUMP!
19. Hi, I don't have the materials to pack it up, if I got them, I'm not at home during any time a courier can collect, and I don't have a car at the mo, so moving it to where ever I'll be on any given day for a courier to collect is highly problematic. I've also fallen out with couriers since the last amp I had delivered was destroyed, despite it's excellent packaging. All in all, as I'm not desperate to sell, collection only makes most sense to me. As for online recordings, I'm not aware of any, sorry. I had a quick look around the web but couldn't find any. Shep
