1. Up for grabs is my Shure PSM-200 Wireless In-Ear System. This has not been used since Feb so it's time to move it on! The sale includes the 2-channel transmitter (P2T) with power supply and the Wireless Bodypack Receiver (P2R-S5) plus a leather pouch for storing the receiver. The Bodypack can be used as wireless or wired and can be used as both at the same time. Please note the system does not include any monitors or headphones - you'll need to use your own. This is a real pro bit of kit and paired with some decent headphones or in-ears it's audio bliss!!! Details on the transmitter and receiver - http://www.shure.co....nitoring/psm200 The system is gigged and so has some light marks all over it but nothing that noticeable. Full and perfect working order. No box but will be safely packaged. As this is a discontinued model it's kind of hard to price, but as GAK are selling the P2R receiver for £306 on it's own, I'd say £275 for the system, posted in the UK for seems like a damn good price. NOW SOLD PM me for a quicker reply. Shep (Sorry for the poor quality pictures - If you feel you need better ones let me know!)...
2. NOW SOLD PENDING PAYMENT Hey folks, Up for grabs is this basically brand new in the box, Warwick Rock Bass Dark Lord. For those that don't know, the Dark Lord version is a special version of the Vampyre that comes set up and strung for ultra low tuning with a 175 gauge low F# (string F# B E A). It has a number of other features over the regular version too such as a real Warwick bridge and a 35" scale plus more besides - It's spec makes it a step above the rest of the Rock Bass range, almost a bridge between the 2 range. It's very unique with a serious growl in the lows. If de-tuning is your thing then you should really check this out! I was lucky enough to win this bass as part of a giveaway competition and I have unboxed and played it for 15 minutes at home. It's a lovely bass and surprisingly light for something that looks a beast, but I have no use for it in my sonic arsenal so have decided that I will move it on. As I won this I think it's fair to sell it at a bargain price for what is basically a new bass (I'd say it's had less play than one you'd pick up in a music store!) and, as far as I can tell, one of the first of the Dark Lord in this country. Still has the warwick strap locks etc/ still sealed int he box inc. all the packaging. Thomann have these in (here - http://www.thomann.d..._4_black_hp.htm) at over £620, so how about I say £350 posted in the UK. Pick it up from me in Nottingham and I'll call it £325. Thats over £250 off a new bass for 15 minutes use! Pics... Any questions let me know. PM me for a quicker reply. Shep
3. Cluster Flux sold! Both pedalboards still available. Will take any sensible offers for them providing they are collected.
4. Indeed! Loving it buddy. Still kick myself or selling mine in the first place. Love it!
5. Source Audio Hot Hand 3 now SOLD. Bump for Cluster Flux - sale or part-ex - and the pedalboards. Shep
6. MB don't but Genz do (well, the Streamliner at least - I can't vouch for the Shuttle, but I imagine it's the same). I was sure my STM900 was cutting everything under 30hz as my cab goes that low quite happily and noticed a difference in floor movement. I spoke to one of the guys at Genz who designed it (he's actually a Talk Bass user too I found out after) and he confirmed it has a filter as part of it's circuitry. That explained why I found the Thumpinator to be doing nothing for me! lol. I should try it again now with my Fafner... not that I actually want to filter out those lows, (my cabs drivers hardly move at the best of times and the amp doesn't break a sweat) but I would like to experience the Thumpinators effects properly.
7. I agree with the above. Taylor is very open to feedback. In my experience, if he can improve what you feel are shortfalls in the pedal then he will. It's certainly worth an email to address the issues and see what he says. Also, did you get it new or 2nd hand? If it isn't new, there is always the chance that its not performing correctly. Shep
8. PM's replied to. Octamizer now sold! Cluster Flux now on eBay. As I'd prefer it to go to a Basschatter and eBay will charge me fees I'm dropping it to £375 posted. Shep
9. Hot Hand 3 on hold. Cluster Flux, Octamizer, and pedalboards still up for grabs.
10. If my Cluster Flux sells I'll be on this. Miss mine and I'd like to add one to the collection again. Seriously good pedal folks!
11. Have you checked the nut is tight on the tweeter control on the back? Mine was loose and caused the same problem! I had a similar issue with an Proline can as well and that was a cable inside that had moved and was laying against the back of the speaker so was vibrating against it.
12. Bump. In response to a pile of PM's about the Cluster Flux, I will now consider part-ex on it for a pedal/pedals of suitable value plus around £200 cash. Not looking for part-ex on the other stuff though. All PM's replied to!
13. Sorry dude, the PN-2 sold last night really late to someone else I've just replied to your PM too.
14.
Interested in the PN-2. How do you rate the bypass on this? My pedalboard's getting sizable, so its an increasing concern!
The PN-2 is special. It's the only term I'd use on a live set up from a commercially available maker. It's only going because I have a customer made trem on the horizon (spec'd to chop like the PN-2, plus other functions). It is a Boss pedal at the end of the day, so has Boss buffers, though I feel the older unit (PN-2/OC-2 era) were actually a little kinder to the bass than the current ones. Long story short - the bypass is fine and I have no problems. I use both this and the OC-2 in the same signal chain along with other units with no issues. I wouldn't use 6 or 7 Boss pedals in a row without a bypass strip, but one or two is fine IMO. If you have a hunt around the net I doubt you'll find a bad word about the PN-2. I'd love to know why Boss did away with it!
15.
Why does this octamizer come up for sale when I just bought va new car? ***drops to knees*** Why god why ? I'm off to sulk
I can assure you that it was not deliberate I did notice that they don't come up too often actually. A good nod to Aguilar as it is a great pedal.
16. Loops Mixer now sold and paid. The natural voice of the Octave down on the Aggie is more natural than the Oc2, it's not a synthy sounding octave, closer to the EBS or the MXR. The low pass filter though means that you can take more and more top out of the sub octave and emphasise the lows so if you roll it back all the way it's very sub (like a more refined DOD MeatBox). Very versatile. On another note - as someone has asked already, given the value of the Cluster Flux, if it helps to pay for this over the course of 2 or 3 months then I'm happy to do that.
17. My all-time favourite bass type. Possibly the only bass model on the planet which could tempt me away from Roscoe as a brand. SOmething about the RS is just very special.
18. Hey folks, I'm having a big clearout to fund other projects so have some stuff up for grabs... The ONLY trades I will consider for anything here is an Eventide ModFactor and/or an Ernie Ball VP JR Expression Pedal (the 25k expression, NOT the 250k volume version), I will also consider some compact size active studio monitors, bot nothing crazy expensive. No other trades please. Moog Moogerfooger MF-108M Cluster Flux. [s]Asking £395 posted in the UK[/s] SOLD Aguilar Octamizer. [s]Asking £90 posted in the UK.[/s] SOLD Boss PN-2 Tremolo/Pan. [s]Asking £90 posted in the UK.[/s] SOLD Custom sfx Loops Mixer. [s]Asking £100 posted in the UK.[/s] SOLD Source Audio Hot Hand 3. [s]Asking £90 posted in the UK.[/s] SOLD Diago Tourman Pedalboard. The big one in the Diago range. This is gigged, with some light scuffs (nothing major) and the foam inside the lid has some indents in it etc from pressing against pedals. All intact and as it should be though. This is large and I do not want the hassle of shipping it so it is strictly collection only from the NG4 area in Nottingham. Due to me asking for collection only however I'll do it cheap... Asking £50 collected. HUGE Flightcase Pedalboard. This oneis a feeler at the moment to gauge any interest. This board was built for my old electronica project, Our Helical Mind and was used for a European tour last year. it's used with some scuffs but it built like a tank so still in good condition. It is massive with a 2-tier design and the board length is circa 1.4m (HUGE) and weighs a ton. I have custom built riser inside it which can be removed (along with the raised tier) to raise the lower level upto the lip around the edge. I'll confirm dimensions later, but basically is MUCH bigger than any commercially available board, if you need something truly massive get in touch. It would be collection only, but as such I'll do it for £100 collected. Here is a pic of it set up with the Our Helical Mind gear... Shep
19.
Resurrecting this thread, seriously considering getting one of these to replace my WH1. I mainly use the -/+ 1 octave, 1 octave up and 5th/6th harmony settings on the whammy. I understand the PF will do this, along with a potential second harmony! This correct? I have heard that the PF has a bit of latency however, and that it doesn't track amazingly well on fast runs...Can anyone corroborate? Al
Correct, do that stuff plus the 2nd Harmony on the PitchFlex setting. It has the same latency I found with the Whammy, tiny milisecond stuff that become non-noticeable after a day of use. It's so minor I honestly don't see why people have an issue with it. The tracing is not true polyphonic, so it tracks as well as any monophonic octaver does, though it will handle perfect 4th and 5th's during pitch shifting - you need to have a clean technique and not catch the open strings though. If you want true polyphonic stuff then the EHX Micro Pog/Pog/Hog is the beast for you. Personally I have NEVER had any tracking issues with the Eventide.
20. A few days left for this give away I've been running with Pedal Labels via my website. Thought some Basschatters may like to get in on the action... http://sheponbass.co.uk/blog/pedal-labels-giveaway
21. When you connect the expression pedal do you ensure that it is in the heel position as you connect? It needs this for calibration purposes. I doubt it's the cause, but worth covering all bases. Have you tried it with a Mono lead (I know it says TRS in the manual, but so do many pedals that work fine with a TS lead).
22. Thanks for coming both of you! Sorry our set was short (we, like the venue) had a few technical issues! We thought better to end while it all worked still The Safari hunter stuff would be considered a compliment. That is exactly why they dress like that an have the crazy handlebar moustache! Thanks again for coming dude!
23. Yes, yes you can!
24. Agreed. Get the MicroPower rather than the power station (it's cheaper and you don't need the headroom), or get a 1-Spot from Bass Direct. I imagine they'd be around the same price.
25. It's a bog standard 9v centre neg, as with every Boss pedal and most other pedals too. The 1spot is a daisy chain supply, same as the Diago micro power/power station and a million other supplies. Just use it without the daisy chain connected.
