Yeah. Totally useless for recording. The signal chain is a bit noisy under a microphone too. Live work it's great if you have a PA or your rig can handle it. Everyone should try one once though. It's an experience! There is a modern clone now available an I know of another clone in development. They offer an improvement on some components, but will set you back about the same. The Aggie is the closest recording-usable octave sub effect IME - that or any octave down and a Moog LPF. That'll get the floor moving!

Lots of discussion about the place about this. You can't hear it. Don't even try on YouTube. You sure can feel though. As long as it doesn't rip your speakers in two the floor and walls will move. It's very unmusical, but simulates PA subs from a regular cab. Octave down blended with huge boosts of 30 and 60hz. I used one for a while, but replaced it with an Aguilar Octamizer which does a similar - not as rumbling and low, but far more musical - effect with its filter rolled back. The MB is one of a kind in pedal form and if you are playing gigs with huge PA's then it can do some special stuff to people's bodies.
3. Been a while since the last one. Time for some huge low end and prog' madness... PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Todd Wood is the bass-man with Midlands-based prog' favourites Alright The Captain. Alright The Captain have carved a name for themselves in the UK/Euro progressive rock scene over the last few years with a reputation for being LOUD, nasty & noisy and for gigging constantly. If there was ever a band you had the chance to check out live, ATC is the one, with more gigs played each year than almost any other originals act around. ATC have a reputation for something else as well - Huge, dirty bass sounds. In fact huge is an understatement. Check out what Todd had to say about his set up and sound...
4. Roscoes ship with D'addarrio XL Nickels. it's a custom set, regular in most ways but with a 100 rather than the 105 E string that comes with the regular set. Personally I think those strings are great. Roscoe use them exclusively for a reason. I am currently using Overwater Nickels (Mediums) and really like them too. I used them with both my 35" Roscoes and they sounded excellent.
5. Ash, Emailed. I can't PM you either. Odd.
6. If its still here, I have a PT Nano soft case if be willing to trade (+ cash) if the Nano wasn't too small for you. Shep
7. Ta da! It's quite surprising that happened, given you use a circuit breaker to prevent a surge from reaching the amp. Odd. Anyway - the fuse did its job! Win.
8. This.
9. I'd suggest changing (or at least checking) the fuse in the amp - little draw under/part of the IEC (kettle lead) socket on the back of the amp holds it. The fuse in the pug may be fine, but it doesn't mean the fuse in the amp is! I assume you have tried a different plug socket and also plugged it in without the circuit breaker you mention (incase it's that which has died!).
10. It's not just the lip... There's also the thumb screw you see in the last pic (which is as high as the lip - about 4mm) which holds the whole together. You'd need to start drilling it aand screwing things together. Rehousing is actually easier and cheaper. Seems Aggie appreciate this fact now that all the pedals have been rereleased in sensible enclosures!
11. Best tremolo I've used on a bass. Another great boss pedal that was discontinued and replaced with a naff version. These don't come up often and the price is bang on!
12. My Big Twin T did 10 shows in 10 days over 4 countries with daily load in/load out and constant clattering of stuff against it on the road day after day over hundreds of miles. It also held up the weight of 2 drum hardware cases while on the raid. It was in a Roqsolid cover but no flight case etc. Since then it's done another 20 odd gigs including one where I had to wheel down a cobbled street. Despite the abuse on tour, other than the wheels looking worn, the cab is pristine and the finish looks like it did when it was new. My amp head is heavy and flight cased and despite it 'scraping' against the top of the cab daily there are no signs of wear. The current coating appears to be rock solid.
13. Kev bought a pedal from me. Easy transaction. Cheers! Shep
14.
I had the old big one - great sounds, although I found that the lack of true bypass was a bit of a pain.
Thankfully the bypass is an easy mod which lots of folk offer!
15. It's a great sounding pedal with quite a unique sounding filter making it stand out from the synth pedal crowd. It's downfall has always been its one-hit-wonder slider set up... I'd of thought they would have made it compatible with the Hog switching unit by now for preset goodness. To be fair the old big one sounds WAY better. Much smoother sub octave and all-round more phat analog synth sounding, but the new version is still a cool little pedal.
16.
Nice shots dude! When u go back to ebs amps
I went back to the Fafner just before Christmas. I love the Genz, but it runs out of it's 900w when I hit it with sub octave at about half the volume the Fafner does (at 400w). Old watts vs new watts - Old watts won! Its bigger and heavier but I'm happy with the performance and piece of mind
17.
Looks like the Jam Cafe? I was out at the cinema with Mrs RR on Friday and we parked just outside there, and had a nosey to see who was setting up - didn't realise it was you! Must have been a good night, as there was a pile of puke beside the car when we returned Great pic btw
Jam Cafe indeed! Was a few great local HipHop acts then us. There was some puke inside as well... unfortunately. Packed to the rafters.
18. From Friday's show...
19. Some live shot from my gig on Friday with Our Helical Mind... pedal goodness
20. Some cool stuff on there - the style and graphics remind me a lot of the Devi Ever stuff. I may take a punt at the end of the month.
21. Use the LS-2 and stop being a gay (no offence meant to anyone!)... A buffer is a GOOD thing on a board anyway and I know your set up - It's not a long enough signal chain to be a BIG issue.
22. Andy bought by TC Corona. Top dude. Shep
23. Andy bought my TC Flashback delay. Great comms. Always a pleasure. Shep
24. Paul bought some George L's from me. Super speedy payment. All good!
25.
How much if I want all the George L plugs? (Assuming they are right angle ones and not the strange straight ones)
Right angle they are... and SOLD! (that was quick).
