1. Very cool dude. I'll keep an eye on this. Great 1st interview too. Janek is an awesome guy.
2. Last interview before the new year... PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Jonathan Hischke holds down the low end with acts such as Dot Hacker, EV Kain & Broken Bells as well as collaborating with huge artists such as Omar Rodriguez Lopez and Norah Jones! Check out what the man that Juan Alderete sights as his "favourite modern bass player" had to say about his love of effects and approach to such a diverse range of music...
3. Tom's stuff is stunning and his pedal etching is utterly badass! He's just finishing off a custom Phaser for me, which is the prototype for a pedal which will hopefully be in his up coming range. You can hear more form him in the DIY pedal thread and I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing much more of him around here in 2013!
4. Yeah - It's been on the list of fixes for a log time... As mentioned above, it hasn't worked since the change in software. Rest assured... it's on the list
5. Ted bought my Moog Freqbox. Easy transaction with great comms. Thanks bud Shep
6. Agreed! It's on the short list. Our 1st vid (The Meat Grinder) has evolved into a full tune...
7. No worries. I went through my collection and I actually have some long lengths left too (12-15"), and bloody loads of shorter lengths so ill throw a few mixed ones in with each purchase. I prob have 30 + spare plugs, maybe more.
8. I can happily throw in some lengths of cable but I have no bull stuff left, bloody loads of bits that are 3-6" each though. Probably about 50 lengths... Ill chuck a couple of short bits in with each pair purchased.
9. Another video - This time a couple of shorter ideas..., 'The Dirtbox', 'SlapBack' & 'Fuzz The Boat Out'... http://youtu.be/si9GrZrIKuU
10. Moog Freqbox & Ring Mod SOLD. TC Flashback withdrawn. Phaser now sold pending payment. Lots of George L's still available
11.
Looking forward to that review very interested in it. Will you be doing the others in the range. Alan
Alan, Working on the Dynamics at the mo (though they have discontinued the damn thing!!). It's stunning on 2 of it's 3 settings and not so hot on the other... I'm trying to capture it's benefits and flaws as well as possible. I am very keep to review the Modulator soon too. Hopefully in the new year!
12. Pretty nice. I see a Polytune, an OC3 and what looks like a Bespeco Weeper Wah. The long shots look like another lighter coloured pedals as well - I assume dirt of some type. Maybe a Boss ODB-3 or similar.
13. I miss that Fretless sooooooooo much.
14. ALL SOLD Hi folks, My pedalboard is being re-designed due to logistics issues. I've been hanging onto these as they sound amazing, but space has meant I needed to get smaller alternatives. To get hold of the last few parts of the puzzle I'm putting these up, ideally for trade on some specific bits, but will consider a sale as well... 20 George L's straight .155 solderless jacks. £3.50 per jack or 10 for £30.00 including postage. NOW SOLD!!! Moog MF-103 Moogerfooger 12-Stage Phaser. Asking £180 posted. NOW SOLD!!! Moog MF-107 Moogerfooger Freqbox. Asking £210 posted. NOW SOLD!!! Moog MF-102 Moogerfooger Ring Modulator. Asking £170 posted. NOW SOLD!!! NO LONGER LOOKING FOR TRADES. 15.
Good stuff! Although during the Tin Spirit videos I admit I was more interested in the Warwick that guy was playing.. Keep it up!
Don't worry - as a bassist, that's allowed! (I was too...)
16. New interview up! PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass I present to you Daniel Steinhardt. Dan is a tone-obsessed guitarist and the man behind TheGigRig, the company responsible for bringing you the worlds first and most powerful programmable effects switching system. Check out what he had to say about his products, his music and of course, his tone...
17. Graham, she's a stunner! The LG shape took a while to grow on me too. In a stand its a little strange, but as soon as its on the body it makes PERFECT sense. Seriously nice bass dude!
18. Current set up (minus the million effects pedals). Roscoe LG Signature V, EBS Fafner, Barefaced Big Twin T.
19. Thanks dudes!!! A little different this time... It was me being interviewed!? PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Steven Taylor (better known around these parts as Tayste_2000) of Our Innocence Lost is a fellow online forum user, blogger and a great musician. I was keen to interview Ste about his love of pedals and to quiz him on why he now uses a much reduced set up with his band. During these conversations he flipped the whole thing on it'd head and threw a pile of questions at me. While you wait for my interview with Ste, check out what I had to say...
20. Octave before and envelope after for fat analogue synth sounds!
21. A VERY overdue review of the Nova Dynamics unit coming soon!!
22. My very first 'follow-up interview'... PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Much has changed with Ant's set up since my interview with him all those months ago. His band, Castrovalva, are going from strength to strength and interest in his setup has become great. With all that gigging and all his gear getting put through it's paces night after night something was sure to change! Ant was cool enough to spend a few minute discussing those changes...
