1. You guys coming to play with our boys, Alright The Captain? You guys have plate together before a bit if I recall? Great LP by the way... I'll be buying on payday!
2.
Shep, didn't you say using a True Bypass pedal right after the Stageclix causes loud popping sounds? That might be what's happening to John. Sounds like he's having even more hiss than me though! If you say yours is quieter than a cable then I must have a duff one too!
Yes - as I use the wireless to connected to the pedal board rather than the amp I have experienced a 'pop' with my TC Polytune and Polytune mini. I can't swear it's all True Bypass pedals as I only tried with these so there is a chance it could be an incompatibility with the TC mechanism... Though I doubt that. In fairness I almost always have a buffered pedal 1st and last in my signal chain anyway (I find they iron out many problems with noise and popping within the chain... TB is more trouble than it's worth IMO!) so I always run the tuner after a buffered pedal anyway. Still the best wireless system I have owned.
3. Awesome day today & a great set from you guys dude! Top stuff (as always!). Shep
4. I know! I'd end up selling Toms drums to pay for it It may be less than £600, but I think it'll be close. The Cluster flux is $600 in the US and £469 over here which is 1.27 to the dollar, so it'd make the 104M £547 ish... So maybe £569.99 after they take import into account?
5. Cheers dude. I just ask questions I'm genuinely interested in hearing the answers to...
6. You have to sell it now...
7. I'll have 2nd dibs on the Rat Tail...
8.
£600????? I'll stick to my DM-3 & Akai :-D (yes I know it's very different) Looks great though, I wonder if they'll send you one to A/B against the TC Shep Si
Already tried that one... They side stepped the question nicely!
9. Nice... $700 is around £450 on the exchange rate at the mo, but with import and shipping by the time it hits the UK stores I think we are looking closer to £550-600! Looks awesome though!
10. Really surprised to hear these issues. I use mine and if anything is quieter than using a cable and absolutely no change in tone. Some of you will know how insanely massive my effects set up is (22-26 pedals/units depending on the gig) and still no hiss etc that is not expected from a signal chain as long as mine. Chris - was yours from Bass Direct too? Maybe a few made together with defective components? Shep
11. Cool little interview for you dubsteppy bass fans... PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Michał is a Polish bass player involved in the emerging live electronica scene in Europe. Michał currently plays with Bubble Chamber - A relatively new live project who are already making a serious name for themselves on the live scene. The 3-piece create a dark and brooding style of Dubstep & Drum n' Bass which is seriously atmospheric stuff. Edit: I've made this thread sticky here in the Effects forum as a couple of you kind folk have PM'd me to ask why it's not sticky already. If anyone gets bored of seeing it up top of the forum let me know and I'll un-sticky it!
12. I shared all my old settings in this one http://basschat.co.uk/topic/102594-markbass-supersynth/page__p__957556
13. My bank balance can't afford it. Not without selling other stuff. I have indulged far too much over the last year or two and now I'm more play, less work there's no way that's going to happen. What do you think? £450?
14. Not sure how the wave form comes into it though. Could be an analog tremolo I suppose... Though 'short/long' switch kinda gives it away (in name and colour!). Identical knob layout to the Cluster Flux. Edit - some info on the Moog forums - analog delay with tap tempo, spill over and midi sync'd LFO generator. Sex!
15. They have been on about doing a new delay since the last one was discontinued a while ago. I can't see them doing anything else before a delay to be honest...
16.
Looks good! You gonna end up selling the Bass Drive?
Already up for sale
That is nice. Are you gonna put some perspex over the top layer as well ala Matt Bellamy?
Nah - need to twiddle all the knob still
17. Not finished yet - but this I going to be the 'protect my jack sockets and power supply from beer' screen...
18. SOLD PENDING. As the titles suggests, I have GAS for a different OD so my Bass Drive is up for grabs. Amazingly good overdrive (also capable of warm fuzz tones) with a host of extra features that I never use including a gain boost on a 2nd footswitch (so it's basically 2 overdrive pedals in one). This is the non-MOSFET version which I bought specifically as I prefer it (I found the Mosfet a little too wooly and warm for me). The pedal is in good condition though there are some scrapes and chips to the paint on the edges of the pedal (though you'll see below that the front plate is pretty tidy!) and is boxed with instructions though the box has seen far better days! Runs on 9 or 18v - I run it on 9 as personally I couldn't hear the difference, though many folk swear by the 18v mode. I'm asking £100 posted in the UK which is £10 less than I paid for it and it's still worth every penny!! NOW SOLD PENDING PAYMENT. Shep
19. The GC is more of a very aggressive distortion circuit... I've been using for ages and the muse stuff it can do well... Bit I don't think it does less aggressive OD sounds well. It's strengths are in the super high gain and bit/sample rate reductions. Something like the Mastotron may suit your needs as its a jack of all trades it goes from fat muff-like sounds to synthy gated mammoth sounds...
20. Link to an interview with Ant form Castrovalva: http://www.sheponbass.co.uk/blog/interview-anthony-wright.html Half way down is a pic of his board with the amp mounted to it. Looks and works cool by all accounts.
21. Moved to effects forum!
22. Iron Ether Nimbus. Do not pass go, do not collect £200.... though obviously it lacks presets. The Eventide Space has to be the ultimate choice!
23. How is this still here at this price!?!? Amazing instrument. Utterly amazing.
