  1. Mike purchased my Roscoe LG today, proving that his has an impeccable taste in instruments! Super lovely guy, great communications and entirely issue-free transaction. Thanks bud!
  2. Quite possibly. I’ve had a few! Still my favourite basses ever. The only reason I’m selling my current one is to fund a 32” scale bass again.
  3. I swore myself to 32”… but I’m sooooo tempted.
  4. Yeah, the flow of the line on the LG shape is pretty much unrivalled. if this sells, rather than trades, the funds will likely fund another LG in 32" scale (like 'the one that got away'). I've never played a bass shape that feels as comfortable on both the strap and the knee.
  5. Almost... it was more like a Transit Van
  6. The only correct answer in the debate of "pedals or straight to amp?" is... PEDALS!!!!!!!!!!!! All of the lovely, noise making insane goodness. I mean, who wants a bass to actually sounds like a bass!? Are you crazy!? Pedals is the answer
  7. They sound great. Very 'hi-fi' and clean, which makes a nice balance with those meaty sounding Roscoe Bart pups. The range of control in the Glock is what I call very 'musical', especially in a recording environment. It's one of those preamps where you just can't find a bad sound with. It's pretty much a go to for every bass for me. You should absolutely try to give one a whirl at some point.
  8. When I purchased the bass, the OBP3 preamp had been badly fitted and was not working correctly - the blend pot was wired backwards and the treble control was not working. After investigation, whomever had installed the Aggie had done some major damage to a few components with the soldering iron and the whole thing needing removal. I've used the Glock pre in a few basses now (I've had this combo in two Roscoe's previously and think is works amazingly with the Roscoe Barts) and IMO, it is the most musical preamp around, so I opted to have that installed in place of the Aggie. Personally, I really dislike the OBP3 anyway, even when it works correctly, so the preamp swap was a given for me either way.
  9. Hi folks, Up for grabs is my stunning Roscoe LG3005. I've owned a number of Roscoe basses over the years and this one is pretty special. Update: No longer open to trades - sale only. I have something new in the works.I've set the price under what I think the bass is actually worth (I paid far more for it, less than a year ago). Price drop: I am now asking £1750. NOW SOLD The spec: Roscoe LG3005 5-string, 35" scale Mahogany body 5A Exhibition-grade quilted maple top Trans-red finish (with matching headstock) Spalted purple-heart fretboard (which is stunning!) 3-piece maple/purple-heart/maple neck Roscoe Bartolini pickups Glockenklang 3-band preamp Black hardware Strung with DR Black Beauties Fitted Roscoe-branded semi-hardcase Weight is 3.9kg Sounds stunning. Meaty, yet neutral (thanks to the Glock preamp). I've done everything from metal to funk and electronica with this and it's always sat right in the mix. The bass is in overall excellent condition - there are a few light marks where you might rest your arm in the edge of the upper body and some tiny cosmetic nicks, but as the photos show, you have to go hunting for them! I'm located in Derby and really do not want to ship this bass (I've had so much awful luck shipping basses and I no longer have a box suitable for putting it on), but I will drive for an hour, which is enough to cover a huge chunk the UK - especially if you're prepared to make a drive to meet half way. Collection in Derby is, of course, welcomed. If you need more pics of anything specific, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks! Shep
  10. I did! But I didn't realise that this one was yours!!! The fact that I'd played yours and this looked 'very similar' was the reason my eye had be drawn to it!
  11. Love this so much. I used to own a 5 and it was very special. It’s rare that a bass make me feel like cheating on the Roscoe in my life!
  12. Sorry about that! It’s a great pedal with a monstrous sound. I hope you manage to find one!
  13. It is! I’ve had a silly number of enquiries about it, but no one has bitten yet! EDIT: sorry, it sold on eBay as a buy it now literally minutes after I posted this. It is now sold.
  14. Agreed. It's brutal, in the best possible way! If I was still playing anything remotely rock-y, it's the pedal I'd keep over all else!
  15. Sold Mike my Lekato Looper. Easy transaction, great comms and all the usual kind stuff that everyone else has said about him! Thanks!
  16. Sold Lee a pedal this week. Easy transaction, great communication, friendly and with a sterling taste in noise making paraphernalia. Great stuff!
  17. Sold Roger my Vintage Micro Tubes. Easy transaction. Perfect!
  18. As a Roscoe LG player myself, I fully endorse the awesomeness of this bass!

  20. I did this for a while and went through quite a few. The EBS Microbass always seemed to be the one that sounded most like having a rig behind me and was also the one that sound-men seemed to be most impressed with. If I went down this route again, I wouldn’t hesitate to get the Microbass.
  21. The DC7 is a monster. It runs my entire board and I’ve not even managed to light the 40% of load light yet. Insanely good, plus it fits under a Pedaltrain with no modification to the board needed. It’s not cheap, but worth every penny for me.
  22. All the foogers’ were sold over 3 years ago and getting them now is hardly an easy or affordable prospect. I’d probably pick up the Cluster Flux again, given a suitable opportunity, but the others, I’ve learned to live without/appreciate the alternatives.
  23. The most amazing thing about the DC7 - it could probably power that entire board from one output!
  24. I’ve never been one for subtlety in dirt and while I do think the old Fuzzrocious BDPG is the nicest low gain overdrive ever made, the mantle for high gain stuff has firmly been taken by the Mastotron IMO for a long long time. Ive had a lot of pedals that did that kind of tone, but none of them ever got quite there. My only niggle with it was that without the sub switch, it was a bit lacking and with it was often too much. As a result it took a lot of work to get it to sit right in a mix without dominating. Fast forward to 2021 and while the Mastotron has a special place in my heart, I’m now rocking the Dr. Scientist Frazz Dazzler as my primary dirt pedal and DAMN is that thing intense! Huge fuzz saturation, with a 2nd switch to engage ‘stupidly high gain mode’, three band EQ, a clean blend, gated, and a voltage starve for spluttery synth tones. It even has expression control over the mix so you can blend it in and out, though this particular feature is one I’ve found little practical use for. I’ve been using it daily, exploring all its options and how it plays with other pedals, and right now, I just can’t imagine anything knocking it off its perch. It’s basically everything I ever wanted in a high gain pedal.
  25. Actually the Nemesis came first. One thing I really love is stacking delays - it makes for very complex and beautiful textures. I was using a Flashback as the 2nd delay and a Neunaber Immerse as my reverb (which is actually far nicer than the Collider as a stand alone reverb). In the interests of trying to condense things and work with more planned functionality, the Collider offered a solid replacement for both, with some additional signal routing options and little flourishes that make it quite nice. The Ventris is overkill for my reverb needs and if I was to stick with a standalone, the Immerse would stay without a doubt. But yeah, the overall point was to have two delay pedals in series and as I love the Nemesis tone, this made sense. Thanks!
