1. Do you have any extra power supplies or batteres? Try powering one pedal on a battery and everything else on a supply. See if anything changes. Then power that pedal again and do another off a battery. Is likely not due to a noisy pedal but this process will let you iron out that possibility. Compressor near the end of a chain = bad is noise bothers you. As mentioned. Ground noise can come from anything. Often from the fridge etc! What kind of noise is it? Hum, buzz or hiss?
2. Bit unfair Ian! I have one on each of my 6ers. If I'm playing a song that does not use the open strings I use it to mute them all when playing up high. Certain notes creates frequencies that set the other strings ringing. In a wide neck 6, and having little hands, it's almost Impossible to thumb mute all the strings whilst playing up high so this keeps the silence silent so to speak. No solo's. No showing off. And I don't think I'm a w***er. Am I?
3. I'd personally contact MarkBass and ask about a replacement. Their UK distributor stocks lots of spares etc and when I emailed them about the specs for some parts for a 6x10 cab I use to have they gave me a name and number for their spares chap I the UK, who sent me all the part out (some screws, rubber feet, 2 replacement wheels/casters etc) for next to nothing... Shep
4. Mine will integrate the A/B mode and A+B mix mode of the LS-2... So I can be using one channel or the other and then kick the other one in (like playing something, then kicking in my sub channel), but while both channels are engaged I can select which channel will be active wen I go back to just a single channel... Eg. Playing with loop A, kick in loop B so both loops are in use, drop out loop A and continue with just loop B. Yay
5. You know it! Just waitin on my custom switcher/looper from Max @ SFX in the new year (will be replacing the LS-2) and I'm all set for 2012's gigging and recording.
6. Bought Will's Bass Drive . Easy transaction, item as described. Very happy. Cheers Shep
7. I was thinking about approaching George L for an endorsement... Figure folks have string endorsements. I'm basically a walkin advert for the company!!! I'm getting a bit anal about signal routing and tidying of cables etc. Anyone have an uber board they want laying out, get in touch... Cheap rates lol
8. It's a 5-way bypass looper with a tuner input and a few little tweaks. It's not too special - although it will have the GigRig silent switching and nice soft foot switches etc etc.
9. Here ya' go - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=273785252656979&set=o.208619709173534&type=3&theater
10. Yeah - mines something else weight wise. Circa 35kg as a guess. A 2-man lift! I'm just getting there with Twitter too, don't worry
11. Cool little set up Mace! Thanks for the Twitter follow BTW! Shep
12. Great as always... Congrats on the Overwater Endorsement too mate! Shep
13. As promised... The final signal routing and tidy up of the 'lower level' of my board... Gigrig Generator and all the distributors and voltage multipliers that means my entire board is run off 1 mains plug (except the Moog MP-201)... And the new, super tidy cabling in place! Woop woop... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... I told you I was using two OC-2's My Channel 2 is now more effective as my 'sub' channel: OC-2 -> Unichorus -> GEB-7 Shep
14.
Yass Will hold you to that! I need to figure out what to do with my board (again!) - my other halfs getting a BEF for my birthday i beleive. No space though
Pics coming tomorrow... Been doing some serious organising the lower level of the board... I've gone a little OCD over it do it's been a mission
15. Moved mate... Sorry I missed it.
16. Couldn't find a thread for Tom (TG Flatline) so started one. Bout his GEB-7 EQ pedal. Exactly as described & he dropped it off at my work place for me. Top chap. Thanks bud Shep
17. Bought a pedal from Dave. As described... All good. Thanks buddy! Shep
18. Lovely bass - Amazing. I have updated the link in your OP to go straight to post 68 on the other thread for you, and amended the title to state that this is a Century 6, so folks know what they are looking at. Can I strongly suggest you add the photos to the opening post this thread, its a rare and very expensive bass that people should see!
19. Yeah. That's an Boss ODB-3 an a Tech 21 XXl Bass, one I to the other (spoke to him after a Nottingham show a while back). ODB to add grit (any OD should do), the the XXL is a sharp spiky kinda distortion but is really dynamic with the attack on the string. Jon does use Ampeg or Ashdown amps to though so slightly grittier than your Eden to start with.
20. Yeah, BMTH were a hell of a lot worse! Awful band. Lol (The missus likes them). The clip sounds very much like a chunky ampeg tone into something like a Tech21 Bass XXL. I used to have one and it sounded dry much like that! Jon from Karnivool uses it for some dirty tones too and again, it sounds quite similar. Shep
21. I'll have a listen when I get home... Saw these live supporting Bring Me The Horizon a year or so back. They were truly awful live at the time. We thought they were a comedy act at 1st! Bass sound was very clean/ampegy overdrive when I saw them. Shep
22. It was not exactly well advertised... but I assume a few of us applied - Well, at least 2 lol
23. So who won this? Not me
24.
Its a Prose Bass custom - Paul Rose attended the 2009 bass bash. I never thought I would own one.
Cool. I was very interested in the Prose Bass range circa 2009. I actually discussed a build back then, but redundancy at the time put it all aside and those thoughts got lost in the sands of time. Will certainly be interested in having a play!
