1. Great as always... Congrats on the Overwater Endorsement too mate! Shep
2. As promised... The final signal routing and tidy up of the 'lower level' of my board... Gigrig Generator and all the distributors and voltage multipliers that means my entire board is run off 1 mains plug (except the Moog MP-201)... And the new, super tidy cabling in place! Woop woop... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... I told you I was using two OC-2's My Channel 2 is now more effective as my 'sub' channel: OC-2 -> Unichorus -> GEB-7 Shep
3.
Yass Will hold you to that! I need to figure out what to do with my board (again!) - my other halfs getting a BEF for my birthday i beleive. No space though
Pics coming tomorrow... Been doing some serious organising the lower level of the board... I've gone a little OCD over it do it's been a mission
4. Couldn't find a thread for Tom (TG Flatline) so started one. Bout his GEB-7 EQ pedal. Exactly as described & he dropped it off at my work place for me. Top chap. Thanks bud Shep
5. Bought a pedal from Dave. As described... All good. Thanks buddy! Shep
6. Lovely bass - Amazing. I have updated the link in your OP to go straight to post 68 on the other thread for you, and amended the title to state that this is a Century 6, so folks know what they are looking at. Can I strongly suggest you add the photos to the opening post this thread, its a rare and very expensive bass that people should see!
7. Yeah. That's an Boss ODB-3 an a Tech 21 XXl Bass, one I to the other (spoke to him after a Nottingham show a while back). ODB to add grit (any OD should do), the the XXL is a sharp spiky kinda distortion but is really dynamic with the attack on the string. Jon does use Ampeg or Ashdown amps to though so slightly grittier than your Eden to start with.
8. Yeah, BMTH were a hell of a lot worse! Awful band. Lol (The missus likes them). The clip sounds very much like a chunky ampeg tone into something like a Tech21 Bass XXL. I used to have one and it sounded dry much like that! Jon from Karnivool uses it for some dirty tones too and again, it sounds quite similar. Shep
9. I'll have a listen when I get home... Saw these live supporting Bring Me The Horizon a year or so back. They were truly awful live at the time. We thought they were a comedy act at 1st! Bass sound was very clean/ampegy overdrive when I saw them. Shep
10. It was not exactly well advertised... but I assume a few of us applied - Well, at least 2 lol
11.
Its a Prose Bass custom - Paul Rose attended the 2009 bass bash. I never thought I would own one.
Cool. I was very interested in the Prose Bass range circa 2009. I actually discussed a build back then, but redundancy at the time put it all aside and those thoughts got lost in the sands of time. Will certainly be interested in having a play!
12. Oh! Lol. I thought they were both 34" scale!! Ha... Well that solves that then! I definitely want to check the fretted out again. I've played the fret less loads but with that 3 Octave board it's hard to gain perspective on length. Sorry. Love you really.
13. That'd be cool dude. Whenever you're free. After Christmas would be great. Lemme know when you're free for an hour dude. Cheers
14. Cool... Well in which case I guss a medium scale is what I'm after trying. Basically something slightly shorted than a 34" scale. That said, the 30" scale sounds quite interesting... Shep
15.
Al, that's really cool!
+1 Perfect it, then you can fit it to my basses
16. Hey folks, Just wondering if anyone local to me (Nottingham) had a short scale bass; 32 or 33" that I could pop round (or you can pop round) and try at some point. In an ideal world it would be a 6 string - but imagine this is unlikely, so any short scale is cool. I'm interested to try one, having never had the chance before. Cheers folks Shep
17. GB guitars have this on there basses. Something Bernie developed. When you plug the jack in a small light under the perspex control cavity cover flashes at a set pace. The light blinks differently when the battery is down to 10% or something. Very useful.
18. Great instruments. Worth noting the preamp in these is built specifically for this bass and sounds amazing. Even of you only use it as a 4 string fretted is possibly the best Ibanez about, toally speaking. Not many instruments a really regret selling, but I do wish I still had the Ashula around the house. BUMP!
19.
Buy it then,type bump
Maybe if it's still about after Christmas when I have more than 50p I may well take a punt . Someone will likely snap this bargain up a damn sight sooner than that though!
