1. I want your Meatwad. I know how inappropriate that sounds... But hey ho!
2. Hey folks. In follow up to this I'm happy to report the release of: analogftw - The Waatu Remixes It can be downloaded from Waatu's bandcamp page here: http://waatumusic.ba...e-waatu-remixes Waatu is a respected producer amongst the Canadian HipHop/Electronica/Underground scene and caught wind of us through the lovely world of Twitter. A few months later we have this offering. complete re-workings of the 3 tracks from analogftw, including a guest appearance from Verbezerker (Waatu's collaboration project in Canada, featuring MC, Vig Vega). It's a pretty fresh perspective on the existing tracks. Enjoy!
3.
Im pretty sure this is correct. I'm going to put it up for sale - anyone got a rough idea what i should be charging?
If you're going to sell it you need to be more than 'pretty sure' that's what it does - after all folks are unlikely to buy something that they don't know is right for them. If it is when we assume, I would estimate a retail price of around £50, so maybe £35 for resale? I'm sure others will chip in as well...
4. I assume a 2-way True Bypass Loops with a blend
5. BOP (Bright Onion Pedals_ may be the winner... http://www.brightonion.co.uk/ Can't see that exact pedal, but he tweaks things to order so could be a custom.
6. Given the sort of music you're playing, I'd think the blowtorch for fat fuzz, maybe a valve overdrive for warm gritty sounds and that's about it!
7.
pics or gtfo
Lol... Tomorrow. Cabling is a mess at the mo. Moving things around etc...
8. Few more tweaks to the board this week - fine tuning we'll call it. I have now officially entered the upper echelon of awesomeness as I now have 2 (yes TWO) Boss OC-2's on my board! Shep
9. Another easy deal with Steve. Gent as always. Cheers dude! Shep
10.
Your reading to much into it, I just asked for a price, I hadn't given any thought to underhand tactics like some of you guys seem to think. I feel very pissed off that a simple question has been interpreted in this way
Agree completely! Sorry some folk have read this the wrong way. His has gone wait out of line. I asked the seller to state a price as the sellers reply to PM'ing a price did not make it clear the bass would not be considered for a cash price. lojo or anyone else did nothin underhand, they asked a question. The answer was, as stated by the seller, that the bass was trade only. Nothing underhand - in fact nothing at all. Guys - Please don't fight or raise issue with each other over nothing. I you disagree with content on the forum, use the report button on the post in question and a mod will sort it, no need to go into silly detail like this.
11. I certainly don't find I lost bottoms end with mine. Bear in mind that bass synth often has 'it's place' in music - not the sort of sounds you get backing up electric guitars with distortion etc. Get the band to create dynamic around you. Getting on the laptop will help too as you can tune the oscillates higher or lower as you see fit - changing not only pitch, but also the tonal emphasis. The knob that changes the character of the preset will give you some shift in tone but for the most part, the computer is the key. You can tune the envelope as well to be more subby and less 'wet' which fattens up the sound. I assume you have the gain balanced right as well (with the light just flickering). Shep
12. I'd email them and ask if they have any Bass samples of have produced any directly for bassists... Not something I imagine there are many of floating around. Looks interesting though! Not sure it would do anything more than the EBS Valve drive or a DHA unit though - both of which are rather wonderful!
13. As it appears this is now for sale and a 'cash price' exists, please state the price in the opening post - If you want to haggle on it, PM is fine, but the asking price needs to be stated. Cheers
14. I own a Corvid Fuzz (Jumbo Tone Bender clone with tweaks) - in fact I've owned 2! Hugh (thats his name!) seems like a nice and knowledgeable chap too...
15. I've been using my Big Twin T for a few months now and it is without doubt the best sounding cab I have ever used. Effectively a full range PA in a single cab - Ideal for what I do. I am currently driving it with 1400w, BUT this is not because I need the power for volume. Before this I was driving with 350w and it was SERIOUSLY loud! My increase in headroom is to exploit extreme EQ settings (Huge boosts of 40-50hz sub) which is labour intensive on amps (while not massively musical in 'cenventional' bass playing - but perfect in my live Drum & Bass stuff). Shep
16.
Part ex on a Subdecay Tomato Fuzz?
SOLD
17. After a flurry of PM's this is still for sale! So... Bump for the weekend! 1st post updated with loads of trade options. Shep
18. Just back from the studio. Switch cleaner has sorted the crackly volume pot - all gone. Switch cleaner in the jack sockets seems to of done some goo there as well as the crackles bangs and pops are slightly quieter and certainly less frequent - though this could be coincidence. Oddly though I could not recreate the issue playing my iPod through the amp, only with an instrument connected. Using it as a power amp run by my EBS pre, it performs perfectly! The Harke does nothing in this setting and the volume control does not work (assume that's pre not post) but it allows me to get decent volume and tone from my EBS. I have only tested this with a clean signal and won't get to throw my full sub bass doom at it until tomorrow and hope it holds up OK. So, definitely the pre and likely a dry joint around the input as you suspected. I'll have a hunt for that when I'm feeling brave!
19. SOLD Up for grabs is my ZVEX Lo-Fi Loop Junky. Pretty unique bit of kit, loads of samples out there on the net. Records and plays back a single loop in Lo-Fi, with additional modulation and rotary speaker style sounds. Retains low end great, but the playback is always Lo-Fi so no 'clean' looping. Amazing for crazy ambient noises etc etc. These retail around the £250-£300 marker, and as well as the original back, I have the optional power plate so it can be used with a 9v power supply (cost an extra £20). This a full hand painted bad boy. Few light marks, but nothing more than lightly cosmetic (pic below). Has velcro on the bottom of the regular plate already (but not the power plate). Pedal & Power Plate... Pic to show scrape in paint work along read of the pedal... I'm asking [s]£175 posted [/s]SOLD and will accept offers including the following with part ex or trade... Source Audio BEF Pro (& Hot Hand) TC Electronics Flashback Delay Digitech Jam Man Boss RC (any of the range) Decent Bass Envelope Filter (Not a Groove Regulator - I already have one!) Tube Overdrive, or other subtle warm gritty Overdrive Shep
20. Well done Si, thats the 1st vid that has made me actually want a BEF and Hot Hand. I can't do it though - just doesnt feel right Awesome
21.
Probably wouldn't hurt to try that.
Good enough for me. If I get blown up it's officially your fault now lol
22. Guys, If we think it's related to the input, could I still use my EBS Pre amp connected to the effects return to treat the Hartke as a power amp?
