1. Yeah - I'm on it. Having read up I think an AB would work, but not an ABY as splitting the signal would result in less than a full swell.
2. Yeah I've seen it. Although the development is slow and the waiting list is loooong. I simply need to pop between 2 pedals, so wondered if this would work. In fairness I don't even need them to work together, so an AB rather than ABY would be perfect for my requirement IF it would work.
3. Just an idea to solve something I've been trying to achieve. Do you think a simple ABY box, like this - http://www.brightonion.co.uk/categories/AB%7B47%7DABC%7B47%7DABY/ABY-Pedals/ Would act as an expression pedal splitter. So expression pedal into the input, each of the 2 outputs go to exp. inputs of pedals (or the same pedal (I'm thinking moogerfooger here)), then by using the foot switches you can control either OR both parameters at the same time. Obviously the ABY would need to be fitted with Stereo sockets in and out if the expression pedal/pedal inputs require TRS. My only worry with the Moogerfoogers is being control voltage. Would splitting the signal mean splitting the control voltage (so when only one output is selected you give the input 0-5v, but when both are selected you'd only offer 0-2.5v each?)? Thoughts?
4.
500 it is then
Cheers bud. Would you minding editing the 1st post and stating it there. Appreciate it. Good luck with the sale. It's a beaut!
5. Indeed you do. This is now formally for sale on basschat. Please state an asking price or loose the thread! Shep
6. I'm running a Big Twin T. It's totally overkill for most 'regular' bass applications - Its damn loud! Need some serious power to get the best out of it. I have also had a play with a Super 12 - Which compared to top end 4x10 to my ears and a couple of compacts and a midget. I've always been shocked by the volume these things can chuck out for the size. The midget I tried was being run with a Mark Bass little mark and it was shaking the walls... I couldn't quite get my head around it. Alex knows his stuff and is very helpful when it comes to getting the right sound - plus, you have the 30 trial period to be sure you have the right cab for you! Shep
7. Been loving this set up - So much umph tot he frequency response and a much richer tone. I've had a few oddities with the behaviour of the clip lights on the power amp but its seems to be playing ball. I'm working to a 'trust' my ears rule The pre amp has taken some time to get 'my' sound back - it's filter section works quite differently to the EBS amps and is not as instinctive, but I've got it down to a tee now!
8. Indeed it has. WOBO sold. Bump on the 4-way Bypass Looper. Happy to consider trades on distortion, fuzz & modulation effects. Also interested in a Short Comfort Strapp.
9. You'd need an octave into gated fuzz - that'd you close enough. I don't know the unit you're using well enough to know if it has a gates fuzz or not
10. Cool - I'll have a look-see! I saw Janek Gwizdala last week and he was using a Moog Ring Mod in a way I hadn't tried, very interesting. Gave me a few new ideas to play with!
11.
Here's one of the noises I get when using everything on it... http://soundcloud.com/bassg/gjobwbass1
I like. Quite Ring-Mod sounding actually from the Murf. Stick one of your banging drum tracks under it and BOOM!
12. Looks good dude! Moogerfooger FTW! Are you using the EP-2 on cut-off?
13.
Manual?? Where's the fun in that? Si
Its useful - When I sent the pedal to you it was set to maintain a set tempo as you change patches. Some of the patches sound a tad 'bland' unless they are very fast, so the factory default has an 'optimum' tempo for every patch, so as you dial through them the tempo moves to match the patch you're on. You could try putting it back to that setting if you haven't done already as it does give you a few ideas and insights to rhythms at high tempo (you can still shift the tempo with tap etc). There will likely be a load more info in there about the midi connectivity. I never used to use it with midi clock. I used it on 2 tracks that we played at 160bpm - I tapped in 80bpm and left it (as it stores the last tempo used) so never really played around with what else it could do midi wise.
14.
I see you've got one of those blue rubber things. Best £4 I've spent! Never thought I'd use Torx bits so often.
With all the different screwdriver ends in? Yeah - Some crazy stuff I've never seen before and have no idea what kind of bolt or screw it would be used on! Something for every occasion
15. Updated shot - A few tweaks made and little additions in place (sorry about the bad iphone shot. I tried to lighten it up a little and made it worse!). Better pics soon... Having just rehearsed with this, I am very very happy. The Pitchfactor has opened loads of door for me while still doing everything the Whammy DT did (that I used on it anyway!)... Had a few folks asking about my signal chain and stuff via PM recently, so rather than keep typing this out, here is what I'm running (brace yourselves): (Bass) > Stageclix wireless receiver > Boss OC-2 Octave > TC Electronics Polytune (after OC-2 as the wireless doesn't like going into a true bypass pedal!) > Input of Boss LS-2 Line Selector > ----- LS-2 Channel 1 send > --- Moogerfooger MF-107 FreqBox (Moog EP-2 connected to Frequency) > --- Zvex Mastotron (Bypass Looper switch 1) > --- WMD Geiger Counter (Bypass Looper switch 2) > --- Tone Factor Fuzz Saw (Bypass Looper switch 3) > --- 3Leaf Audio Groove Regulator (Bypass Looper switch 4) > --- Boss PN-2 Tremolo/Pan (Bypass Looper switch 5) > --- Eventide Pitchfactor (Connected to Ernie Ball VP JR Pedal) > --- Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Modulator (MP-201 connected to Frequency) > --- Moogerfooger MF-103 12-Stage Phaser > --- Moogerfooger MF-108M Cluster Flux (MP-201 connected to Rate) > --- Moogerfooger MF-101 Low Pass Filter (MP-201 connected to Cut-Off) > ----- LS-2 Channel 1 return > ----- LS-2 Channel 2 send > --- EBS Unichorus > ----- LS-2 Channel 2 return > Boss LS-2 Line Selector Output > Boss DD-20 Giga Delay > > (EBS 1v2 Pre amp, Crown XTi 1000 Power amp, Barefaced Big Twin T) And breathe...
16. As soon as the Slicer sees a midi clock it instantly syncs to that tempo. The pattern is still reset to beat 1 when you engage the effect. I can't recall what the tap temp does off the top of my head - check the manual! Board V.4 - Pah!
17. Hey, Not a 'click', but a midi clock. You can use it to receive midi (from a laptop, drum machine etc) and then send LFO's at specific clock divisions of that tempo. My drummer has a drum machine on his set up which we use as a click to play live to. It also generates midi clock in time with the metronome, which we send to the MP-201. Something like that would help you. Without the midi, you can be very precise with tempo, adjusting in time increments, but at the end of the day you'll be setting it by ear (like any other tremolo pedal) without a midi clock sync. If you have a computer/laptop though, there are loads of free midi clock/metronome programmes about.
18. Hi, Please do not just link to an eBay listing. This is a sale forum and forum rules state you must state a price for each item you are selling. Please list the items properly here with prices or I'll remove the thread within 24 hours. Cheers Shep
19. Yup - I'll get a reputation for blowing up airport tannoy/PA systems
20. I'm going to try and sell my gran this week to buy this! Love it!
21. Bump to add WOBO Loop Inverter & Buzz Electronics 4-way bypass looper (£35 posted each). EDIT: Digitech Whammy DT Sold.
22. Pitchfactor won't accept a Moog EP-2 - it only takes Expression pedals that use a mono connection. It juts so happens that the Earnie Ball Jnr works I've been thinking about loosing one of the 2 EP-2's connected to my Freqbox for a while as I use the mix one very infrequently. As such it's going and the new expression pedal will sit next to the MP-201 in its place. As for the PN-2, no real low end loss that I have hear. Pretty damn stunning. I have stereo puts on the PN-2, DD-20, Unichorus & Cluster Flux. For now it's a temptation I'll resist
23. Bought a Tone Factor Fuzz Saw from Steve. Easy transaction. Cheers bud!
24. Few fine tunings taken place on the monster board this week. Digitech Whammy DT (see the sale section ) has been replaced by an Eventide PitchFactor (WOW!!!) which adds millions of new things to the setup besides the whammy effects. Also picked up a Tone Factor Fuzzsaw (I didn't have a fat ungated fuzz) and managed to pick up an ultra rare Boss PN-2 (Tremolo/Pan) which I've always wanted as they sound bloody amazing! Shep
25.
Holy sh1t that's massive!
Why thank you Sir! 45" x 22" with the back level raised 6" (There are more pedals etc under the back layer).
