1. I can only second all the comments above. Your reputation goes far around these parts. Bass Merchant will certainly be missed! Shep
2. What power requirement does the receiver have? Is it 9.v centre neg like your 'average' effects pedal? If so, has anyone tried daisy chaining it of a pedal power supply, or does it require a dedicated supply? Shep
3.
Sounds like a farkin' dubstep dream!
Hence the reason I bought it! A couple of rehearsals in and I prefer the current tremolo stuff I'm using, plus I like a little more control. Randomness has its place but I just don't see me getting enough use out of it.
4. Up for grabs... Tone Factor Fuzz Saw - [s]£40[/s] - SOLD Pedaltrain MIni with Softcase - [s]£65[/s] - SOLD Johnny Shredfreak Power supply - [s]£15[/s] - SOLD TC Electronic Polytune - [s]£50[/s] - SOLD Boss OC-2 - [s]£70[/s] - SOLD Boss SYB-5 - [s]£75[/s] - SOLD Copliot FX Molecule - [s]£80[/s] - SOLD
5. I don't use any in the amps loop. A few pedals do sound better in the loop, but slight alteration in tone does not seem worth the effort to me. I also like to ensure pedals can interact which mens is need to have 2 well thought out signal chains or I find I have a pedal in 1 chain that I then want to mix with the pedal in the other chain. Each to their own as with everything - but everything before works for me.
6.
Hiya guys. I got this off Mark Latimour about 6 months back and its been integral to my set up since. However, after flirting with a Shep-esque board I am downsizing again.
Awesome. I feel famous Shep
7. I couldn't find a feedback thread for xgsjx... Although I'm sure I'd seen one before! This is 2 tier positive feedback from me. Firstly Graeme bought my OC3 pedal. Easy and trouble free. Secondly, Graeme recently helped me out with a solo project by preparing me some electronica backing tracks. The tracks he produced were well and truly fantastic and way above my expectations. Seriously appreciate it! Thanks dude Shep

Another easy deal with Tim. He bought my BBE Crusher Distortion pedal. Easy peasy as before. Cheers dude
9. Sold this fine chap some Georgle L's. Paid promptly. Perfect transaction. Thanks dude Shep
10. As above, try everything an see what works best for you. The different orders create different sounds when you use then together. For me, Fuzz always comes before modulation. But as the answer above shows - everyone is different! Shep
11. Bump for trades - WHY? Particularly interested in modulation effects
12.
What you going for as replacement?
If you read the opening post... (EBS 1v2 Preamp & Crown XTi 1000 Power Amp) Bump for trade/part-ex options... Some unlikely but options nether the less!
13. Well we're 2 gigs and 8 rehearsals with this cab and the level of articulation is stunning. The mid driver has identified a few noisy components in my signal chain that other cabs did not reproduce (strange noise artefacts from certain pedals etc). At first I was almost 'upset' that the cab did not hide such things like other cabs, but in reality it has meant that I have sought out causes and eliminated them (placement of power supplies in relation to certain pedals on the board etc) and ultimately allowed me yo clean up my signal chain somewhat. I run the cab with the mid-driver on the high setting and the tweeter on around 70-75%. It gives me a complete range from smooth clean sub to super fizzy synth highs. My drummer is shocked by the increased level of clarity over my EBS 212 Neo, but a little saddened by the fact my cab generates as much sub as most nightclub PA's and ultimately can drown him out when I'm fed up with drums When driving my amp hard for loud gigs the cab is a little less forgiving than others as the sound of the output stage distorting/clipping becomes more apparent. This is because of the clarity of that mid driver again, and I use some quite hefty EQ boosts at around 50hz meaning I drive my 350w amp hard anyway. I'm remedying this with Power/Pre combination shortly anyway but thought it was worth mentioning. All in all, this has to be the best sounding cab I've ever used FOR THE MUSIC I DO. It's low passed speakers, punchy mid driver and tweeter top act just like the PA setup I've been wanting to hear behind me and there is more than enough bass on tap. The Big Twin T is a serious winner!
14. SOLD Selling my Korg DTR-1000 rack tuner. Great condition. Spent it's life in my rack. Everyone knows what these are. Very reliable and accurate. Asking £80 collected in Nottingham. Will ship for an extra £10 within the UK. Power lead included. Shep
15. Back up for sale!
16.
You could move the tuner & octave over & then squeeze a Moog in there! MF101 & an expression pedal on the floor maybe?
Yes, yes & yes!
17. Yo! For Dubstep/D&B sounds. Octave - Fuzz - LPF - Trem/Chorus. That will send you on your way. As for signal chain, most important rule as always is experiment and see what works best. I recall Dan Owens on here saying he runs modulation before the LPF as he prefers to take the frequencies out of the modulation and swell it in. I run it after LPF as I prefer the sound to be fluid and modulating even when its just sub coming through. Play around and see what works. You can even try it in channel 2 of your LS2 and blend it with the A+B mix mode. Yum! As for compression. I used to use lots, but as I use lots of delay effect, I found it played hell with the delay. I then went through a phase of using none (after all fuzz etc is compressed itself and I use lots of that), but now I use a tiny bit on the amp to iron out an EXTREME peaks - I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen the compressor light flick on though. Shep Shep
18. George L's all sold. Tourman still available.
19. I'll let you know when it's fully loaded! Still got some stuff to alter, some wood risers to out in under a few things etc. It isn't a 1 person carry. Strictly 2 people to carry. Circa 30-35kg
20. Too much GAS and too much demand for the music I got involved in!
21. Bump to add Boss OC-3 & BBE Crusher Distortion (see opening post). Shep
22. ALL SOLD I have 2 Diago Tourman Pedalboard's going spare having now recieved my custom board. They are both in good condition, no nasty bumps. Few external light cuffs etc on the other coating and the felt lining is in good condition. One board is only 6 months old and the other about 18 months old. I'm asking £70 each collected from Nottingham for these (which is a saving of about £50 each). No shipping on the board's as they are huge & will be expensive and an utter pain in the bottom to ship. Open to trade for fuzz/OD or modulation effects. GEORGE L'S ALL SOLD.
23. Cheers guys. Ran into a few technical hiccups as the day went on. It's all sorted and working now though thankfully with a few tweaks. I have to adjust the way I use my MP-201 slightly as I tend to over hang the tip of my shoe at the toe, which I never took into account. I just need to get used to having my heel slightly off instead. Had a 10 minute jam and think I'll adjust easy. Got to tweak a few things, add the Clister Flux and we're all done. More pics tomorrow or Thursday.
