1.
thanks for that...obvious really....doh! What about the links thingy? cant title them like we use too?
I never knew you could title them! - I've always used the HTML code. Was I missing something horridly obvious!?
2.
Wah I can keep up with all the emails. (not complaining just saying like)
Check your settings - ALL of mine had defaulted to on so I was getting emails for stuff I had never been notified about before. Changed some account settings and it's all as it was again now.
3. Cheers guys. I'm really excited about. Was amazing to get Dwyz on the mic as well as he tends to stick to decks, producing and making music vids these days... But he is an amazing MC. Loads of Moogerfooger action in everytrack and some crushing parallel splitting sub and Dubstep wobble to be heard We did it all live again as well with little after editing (other than the vocals). All the bass was played live and the drums only had 2 snare strikes we did anything with (a nice delay). Keeping analog alive!
4. Just got home from the final mix and mastering of our new EP. It's been a lot of hard work, but I think we've managed to create something varied, current and commercial enough to appeal to a few audiences. Got to road test the mix on a few stereos over the next day or so just to make sure a wider spectrum of speakers agree with the mix, then it'll be there for all to hear Some awesome vocal talent on this one as well (Duke01 & dWyZaK tHe ElEvAtOr) which really brings some of the new material to life. Excited and really quite proud!
5.
Where is this mobile version of which you speak, gents? I'm on my Android phone (HTC Sensation) and it just loads the full site.
Well last night I was getting a very limited mobile site. Today I'm getting the 'Board Offline' page on my iphone, despite refreshing, deleting cookies, clearing the cache etc all I get is the offline page on the old layout format... odd. I'm posting here on my Mac so it's clearly not offline!
6.
It does seem very lazy of the "synth" industry to appear to not have progressed much past MIDI. There is a lot that use USB or Firewire, but all that appears to get sent down it is MIDI information. I suppose the question is, is there a need for any more than MIDI? What else could be done? MIDI can control all the parameters that you need it to & all you need for more channels is a MIDI expander (a rare thing nowadays!).
Agreed. I think Moog's combination of Midi and CV gives enough versatility for anyone really. I guess Midi has its 'accuracy' flaws (which kind of add to its charm), but I'm sure it won't be long until someone comes would with a midi clock system that stays accurate all the time etc. I guess they are tiny tweaks that folks haven't fixed as they aren't 'really' broken. Some Moog gear accepts USB - But purely for backup/update or midi via USB
7.
Cheers, O! You can't check preferences on an iPhone (which is a shame - can this be changed?) so I'll have a look when I fire the laptop up later. Also - another 'feature': When you click on a thread on the mobile site, there doesn't seem to be a way to go straight to the latest post. If there's a few pages you have to click through them all...
Agreed! Mobile version is very limited. No way to select a page in a thread either, so if theres a 20 page thread, not only can you not jump to the last one, but you have to click 'Next Page' 20 times! Hopefully that'll change when the desk top site is all sorted... I use BC on my iPhone about 95% of the time! Shep Desktop site is however looking UBER swish guys!
8. Pre-Ordered mine with Mark @ Hot Rox. Due to arrive this week. I assume if the 1st batch are all sold then he'll not get any others until the 2nd batch.
9. I think the MP-102 is likely to be a typo. By who knows. Discussion on the Moog forum raises concearns that they may replace the advanced control unit with a DAW and software system... So that you could use a laptop and any midi controller you like... An with all the new equipment coming out being midi capable it I certainly a possibility, bit I really hope not. In fact the Cluster Flux apparently has 'hidden features' that can only be used and accessed by midi, so they have to have something in the works that is more midi that CV directed IMHO
10. It seems like an odd decision to me. They have not been without problems and Amos (Moog technician) has discovered that updates have not been easy. In fact the new (v3) software that is in the test phase failed on update because the amount of data is too big for the box! I can only assume that they have secret plans for something new. Much of the new gear is based around complex interface and this was their own solution to making that all work live. The Cluster Flux manual apparently pays reference a few times to an MP-102 controller... Type? Or the future?
11.
Oooohhh bags be first to rub my thighs in front of the new Roscoe
Go on then
12. Kevin has bought 2 pedals off me. Easy transactions. Paid quick and had great comms. Cheers buddy! Shep
13.
I want an MP-201 (will get one one day), but if you haven't the funds for one, then you definitely need to get an expression pedal of some sort (I use a Moog EP-2 & hopefully getting another until I can afford the MP-201).
Keep your eyes on eBay and pick one up soon. They've just been discontinued so prices will go up, then they'll vanish
14.
I want the phaser as I believe it's the one used in 'Luminance' by Cave In. Love the phaser sound in that song.
Yup - I believe it was the Moog Phaser. I love mine. Its fantastic with bass. In 12-stage mode with fuzz in front of it... mind blowing!
15.
sweet man. i need to post my board up a on here as its changed a bit. andy
Yeah dude, get on it!
16. Yeah. 45"x21" with a 'bridge' running the whole length. Going to rock. All based on a specific layout that's far more ergonomic than my current one.
17. Think me & mcgraham are still coming with Roscoe and Wood & Tronics goodness. All good. Looking forward to meeting folks! Shep
18. I've had this before and it was the cable! Are you using proper speaker cable or regular jack/instrument cable? Not saying that IS the issue - but something I have experienced.
19. The Whammy DT isn't too much heavier than the Whammy IV. Feels like they have saved a little weight on the material used. It's bigger, but only a tad heavier. EDIT - Looking at the specs on the Digitech website shows they weigh exactly the same as each other! Looking forward to getting my custom board, the layout makes so much more sense to my style of playing. Only thing still to be added is the new MoogerFooger MF-108 Cluster Flux.
20.
Oooohhh thats a bit special
It is that! Just spent 8 hours in rehearsal with it! Amazing. Still blown away by the tone
21.
WMD Geiger Counter I believe.
Correct! I used to have it's little brother (The 'Civillian Issue') on the board. I recently sold it and bought this. It's a super high gain fuzz and bit crusher with 224 selectable wave forms plus control over the sample rate and bit depth. It's monster and does the job of a few pedals I used to use.
22. Ha. Yes it's the new Whammy. It's polyphonic so it tracks bass chords on 3 or 4 strings up over 2 octaves - that alone makes it worth while. It's also 9v and DC so no noisy AC adapter in my chain. It has a number of presets the old one doesn't on the Whammy side which I've played with - but the drop tune side is great and works better than most Detuning pedals i've tried. Being able to go up a 5th with perfect tracking at the press of a button or even momentarily is pretty useful. Despite 3 retailers telling me that it no longer cuts top end like the old one used to, it unfortunately still does. It's also bloody huge. True Bypass helps though as the old one sucked a little tone when off as well. It's a good improvement on the Whammy IV, but if I'm honest - most people won't use the extra features.
23. Right, I've sold off a fair few pedals to reduce my setup. I've gone from 2 Tourman boards to 1 and a half... However, I have an order in for a custom board I've been discussing for a few weeks. It's a 2-tier board just slightly bigger than a single Diago Tourman with a few tweaks for my set up. So until that's done in a month or so, here's what I'm working with... Right board - Left board - Full setup - And as I was there, our rehearsal space set up, all purchased 2nd hand through work (I'm a Pawn Broker for silly money!!!): MacBook, 2 Skytech powered PA speakers, Behringer Xenyx1204FX desk -
24. Malekko B:assMaster?? http://malekkoheavyindustry.com/index.php/...als/b-assmaster Knobs are on the right though and it's a tad larger than a BBE pedal I think...
