I have the EMG J Set on my Squier Affinity Jazz. I have also fitted a high mass bridge as well, a bit like the bridge on the new Fenders. The bridge didn't really make a huge difference, but the pickups transformed it. The stock pickups sounded OK, but the EMG's sound awesome. I have found that finger style, near the neck I can get really warm, and rich bass sounds, but if I really dig in with a pick, near the bridge, I can get a really good rock/metal growl from it. The J set I bought had connectors at the pickups, but required soldering at the pots. The kit does come with new pots and jack socket, all pre assembled, and much higher quality than the stock components. I had the kit fitted in about half an hour. I would do the pickups first, and worry about the bridge later
Thanks alot I think I'll do that. by the way the best price I can get them for? Gee
I've had two and the actives ones don't sound remotely like a Precision. More like an 80's Ibanez. Very good for long gigs as they are "light" and comfortable and the jazz profile neck is fast.
Thanks a lot, just one thing the active one is the sound good or so so?

Warwick RockBass Streamer Blackhawk 3 month old Just £200 for sale in County Durham Plus Gig bag The RockBass Streamer Blackhawk is unique for a number of reasons. Firstly, unlike a standard entry level bass, the Blackhawk body is constructed from solid Carolena wood. It also features the unorthodox combination of an MEC MM humbucker and an MEC single-coil jazz style pickup. This configuration provides the player with a good selection of different tones, with all the benefits of a fat sounding and silent MM-style humbucker. More Details: MEC humbucker and single coil, Warwick hardware The Rock bass Streamer Blackhawk supports its unique elements with the tried and tested formula of a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Hi all, I looking to buy a 5 string bass, my only concern is String spacing. I have large hand and this seems to make my playing a bit clumsy when playing a 5 string. Currently using a Warwick Corvette Standard but just can’t the same feeling as when I play my 4 string Warwick? Q1. What bass have wide neck but still have that good sound? Q2.Is there any good second hand bass shop anywhere that I could check out. Gee
