  1. Oooo always wanted to try out the COG stuff 👀
  2. Incoming EAE 0xEAE Bass Driver Very hyped for this one, clanky Traynor inspired drive. Was already in the market for a Rusty Box or similar so this was a no brainer.
  3. I got given a yamaha gig bag with my BB734a and its excellent 👌 I use it for everything.
  4. Haha good shout! Here is a little snippet with the J4 and the Capo, not exactly the best example of range though 🤣 I'm gonna withdraw this ad for now I think. Got a little brass nut which I think I'm gonna set up for BEAD and see how we get on. My only issue with the bass is that the pickups can be a little uncomfortable to rest your thumb on because of their shape, I'm gonna be using pick more for the new stuff though so its not really an issue.
  5. @krispn they're pretty punchy, certainly bigger than most jazz basses I’ve played. I think I might just set it up for BEAD for an upcoming project, pop a stellartone pot in and it'd be perfect.
  6. I feel seen by the artwork on this one 🤣 looks incredible!
  7. BB1024x is here and I love it, head off on holiday tomorrow night so barely get any time to get stuck in but from the few noodles it seems like a keeper👌 I was worried about the neck profile but its nice, noticeably more chunky than my other basses but super comfy.
  8. Grabbed another HX One, I sold the last when I decided to get the Quad Cortex. I really love the form factor of these and they’re great to bring some fun to the table. I think ive pretty much narrowed down my shortlist of pedals for a smaller board to: Canvas Tuner > The Accountant > HX One > Science Mother > Two Notes Opus I may need a bigger board to add the Black Math or Longsword for extra dirt but I think this might just do the trick for now 👌
  9. Its her favourite bass but I think she'll understand in the long run.
  10. Feeling saucy so think I‘ll grab that 1024x. Always had a soft spot for them, particularly the laminate necks. The finish isn't my first choice but at least I could scratch the itch!
  11. Oooo nice, would love to build one of these at some point. I've eyed these kits up plenty of times but never pull the trigger.
  12. After a while with no pedal purchases I treated myself to 2 new ones. The Accountant (top right) is the first addition. Its noisy, abrasive and not very flexible but I love it. I've got it set quite light, it does a nice job of evening things out and imparts a grizzly character which I love. Certainly not clean or transparent. Two Notes Opus (top left) a spicy DI, to quote @tayste_2000, that offers preamp, power amp and cabsim and a bunch of other utilities in a nice neat package. Barely scraped the surface so far but love it. I'll admit I wasn't blown away with the DynIR cabs it shipped with but I have my trusty Science Amplication IRs. The power amp simulation is great though, really brings some of my preamp pedals to life. Also ships with Genome which is a nice bonus!
  13. So that's why you're stockpiling Elements 🤣 Seriously though I'd love to at least have a Model FeT and a Mother board, they're both excellent but having both on a board seems a little silly.
  14. Haha I know, couldn't decide which combo I wanted to keep and realised I'm not emotionally ready to commit to a compact board 🫠
  15. New day, new board! 👌 I love all these pedals so much it's too hard to pick a few for a compact board.
  16. Did you buy the DynIR Mesa cabs or are you using other IRs? Very impressed so far, particularly the power amp sims. Not digging the bundled DynIR but everything else is great.
  17. If you end up getting an MBD and don't like it ill probably take it off you 🤣
  18. I know, but if I move them up, the jacks don't fit through the gaps in the pedalboard. I'm not going to lie, I'm already considering moving up to the 3.0 and getting some more pedals in the mix while I'm experimenting. This RB 2.1 is just a touch too small. The perfect compact gig board would be a 2.2, with a hole cut out to mount one of the RB Mod patch bays. That'd leave enough room for this, plus a fun pedal like the OC5 or maybe an HX One.
  19. Just picked up The Accountant and Opus for a compact board. Still not got velcro on etc. Really liked the power amp simulation available on Two Notes Genome so decided to bite the bullet and grab the Opus. This will be perfect for a couple of musical project potential on the horizon, the QC is great but it makes for a big board once Ive added some extra pedals.
  20. Not a clue what price to pop these up for as I’ve never seen them for sale. These are the EMG Metalworks pickups found in the Schecter P4 Exotic. I believe they're practically the same as the Les Claypool version but in a kind of brushed gun metal finish. They look ace on a black scratchplate. Sound great and super versatile with the preamp but I've come to accept P pickups are not my thing, as sacrilege as that may be. Comes with the EMG 2-band preamp. This will need very light soldering as its missing a battery box and jack. I can dig out the knobs too. Price includes postage, open to offers. Ping me with any questions 🙂
  21. Ahhhhh sorry, I misread! There's a thread here which said they could record but couldn't get monitoring working https://www.talkbass.com/threads/darkglass-element-as-ios-interface.1489650/ It must be possible though surely?!
  22. Yeah you can edit via the Darkglass Suite on iPhone.
  23. Sold a compressor which Royal Mail lost and eventually found again, got there in the end and Pablo was very understanding! 10/10, you're more than welcome to purchase my wares anytime!
  24. I've not had it from new, I couldn't say how old it was although they've not been out very long!
