  1. Na tried this and still doesn’t work, as soon as the amp block is out of the active signal chain cabsim stops working. Having a duel divider is the only way I’ve found because even though the path with the preamp block is set to 0 volume it’s still active. Even having in an A/B divider doesn’t work unless the right channel is active.
  2. Interesting! I know a few people said Wal had very hot output so stands to reason. Having a trim adjustment is very cool!
  3. @funkle What’s the output of the Turner Pickups with Lusithand pre? Are they pretty hot?
  4. Love it, still can’t decide which bass I want to mod and spent all my funds on pedals by accident 😬 Might bite the bullet and order the preamp now to force me into making a choice. While I know you said the laminate and fretboard choice made a big difference, it’s subtle enough without personally A/Bing a Wal I don’t think I could tell. I was planning on adding a bridge pickup to my Schecter P4 Exotic anyways so thinking I might just go all in and make it a Walish. My BB would probably be closer though to the real thing.
  5. My favourite amp I’ve ever tried. I’d never bought into the valve amp stuff so when our guitarist offered to bring his VBA in instead of my GK Fusion S, I was a little dubious. As soon as I started playing I fell in love. Now I’ve scaled down to the Handbox WB100 which gives me about 95% of the VBA heft but at a fraction of the weight. I do miss using it though, don’t miss needing 2 people to get it on top of the cab! 😂
  6. Here’s the mount for my keyboard on the tripod: Getting the tripod off requires a fair bit of sideways pressure to move it.
  7. Yeah exactly! I did have a little play positioning the mount under some pedals and cranked my fuzz and there wasn’t any obvious noise or anything. In terms of strength it’s easy enough to hold a pedal in place, certainly inline with Velcro. I don’t the there’s an obvious advantage though as it’d cost more than Velcro and still require a MagSafe ring attaching to your pedals. That being said it’d be a little neater I think.
  8. I’ve just been using MagSafe phone mounts to attach my computer keyboard to a stand. Got me wondering if there was any feasible way of using the same approach for pedals or if they’d interfere with the signal? Im guessing it’d be questionable for digital effects.
  9. Would love to see some shared boards for the Dwarf if you’ve published them 🙌
  10. Yeah they say it’s a more tube-like preamp. It’s definitely all about A, I just wish B had a little more character (the very specific character that I like to be precise 😂). As a boost though it’s great with the A side to really push that gain.
  11. Yeah I think you’re right actually! Cool will order a sample pack. I’ve experimented with a few other brands but always end up playing for a few hours before shifting them to a backup bass and popping the DRs back on. Keen to see how these go!!!
  12. I’m a big fan of DR strings but always keen to support a small local maker. So for a hi beam alternative Diamond hex core is the way to go I’d imagine?
  13. So one thing that I always find a little underwhelming on the Capo is the B side. The most use I’ve gotten out of it is just thickening/boosting the A side. As a standalone preamp though I’m really not into the sound. It’s been particularly noticeable compared to the Model Fet, it gives that full thick valve sound and reacts amazingly to other drives. I lack the musical vocabulary to properly describe it but there’s a velvety smooth texture it gives to any high gain tones. Do people use B solo or is it just a boost?
  14. It’s pretty noisy and abrasive tbh 😂
  15. Got my model fet back on the board so naturally had to have a play with signal chain order. And here’s the reassembled board getting some QC from the cat. Forever faffing with pedalboards ✊
  16. Thank you! Although I really didn’t do it justice! It’s really fun to play with the loops like this, super powerful.
  17. @Chadu25 This is how mines wired up to the GT1000core. You could do the same with the stomp. I know it looks pretty crazy but it means you can go into the Capo to keep the Pre DI totally clear while also letting me move my analog pedals in GT loop 1 and the preamp portion of the Capo in GT loop 2 freely. The output of the GT is then passed back to the Capo post loop return and then sent via post DI to FOH and/or my amp. I also have the option to run the other stereo out of the GT straight to my amp and run a cab sim on the output to FOH too although yet to find a need for that with the Capo.
  18. I’d hang on to it though, like @tayste_2000 says there’s a strong chance you’ll try it in a few months with a comp and have to pick one up again 😂
  19. Na definitely a subtle compression going on, I have so much clean blended in on my Alma comp it mat as well not be there. I think between the Capo, drive pedals and valve amp there’s a whole lot of squish and saturation happening that really make it a little redundant. The only reason I’ve still got it there really is that it seems to help with octave tracking.
  20. These guys are excellent, can’t wait to see them next month!
  21. @admiralchew They do some exellent gear. The OxEAE Fuzz is a beast, it's surprisingly versatile in what it can do but everything it does is pretty gnarly. I think my favourite pedal is still the Halberd, I didn't expect to be blown away but I think it's my second favourite pedal after the Capo.
  22. Mini board with band essentials for an upcoming video/recording session. I wanted to keep it small n simple, it’s pretty EAE heavy 😂 Im trying to weigh up between keeping the OxEAE Fuzz and Dagger or ditching one for the Alma comp.
  23. Yeah I think you’re absolutely right. We have someone programming the lighting, we just need to give them some notes where we want specific stuff. I’ve learned a lot about after effects this week 😂
  24. Yeah!!!! That’s excellent! Think once I get a bit further with the underlying shapes I’ll start taking some inspiration from that. Love all the animated compression artefact effects there.
  25. It’s been a learning process picking up After Effects for the first time properly in about 10 years 😂
