  1. Super useful to know, I’ve tried googling it but found nothing. I can’t imagine using more than a couple at any given time though!
  2. Is there a limit of how many captures you can use simultaneously? I have a MOD Dwarf and managed to get some pretty decent AIDA-X captures of my Capo and some EAE pedals but you’re pretty much restricted to 2 amp/pedal captures before the CPU starts maxing out. I don’t have a QC but it’s one of those things that’s pretty tempting to replace my dedicated pedals one day.
  3. I think I stomp my pedals too hard to do this 😂
  4. Sold a DI which was damaged in transit I believe. @jimbobothy was super understanding and a pleasure to work with resolving it. Top chap!
  5. That’s correct! It’ll also be included before the 1/4 jack output too. There is a switch on the side to bind the fx loop so that it’s only applied when the A side is active. I’ve accidentally enabled that a few times then been left scratching my head for longer than I’d care to admit! 😂
  6. It’s so pretty, always wanted to try a SLO preamp but they rarely ever seem to pop up. The SLO and Rusty Box are the two id love to get my hands on at some point.
  7. Just found this, it’s guitar focused but a lot of the EQ principles are roughly the same just different frequency ranges. https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/boss-gt-1000-tips-trick-presets-and-settings.1938532/page-6#post-35802296 I need to spend more time with the x-od and other guitar focused distortions, I find the bass ones too bass heavy a lot of the time.
  8. A missed that, thought it was just when connected via USB which I believe I’ve heard other people mention before. As you were!!! That doesn’t sound right!
  9. That’s a shame, the other solution would eve to use a WIDI Jack to connect the Core to your laptop/tablet. Not sure if that works for IR Loader etc or just Tone studio.
  10. Not sure I ever suggested those terms don’t have meaning, merely agreeing with @LukeFRC that people often struggle to articulate the nuance of tone and sound. You should take peoples opinions on forums with a pinch of salt.
  11. Yeah I think people are quick misuse buzzwords like “transparent” when they actually mean a sound they enjoy. I’ve even seen people describing Darkglass stuff and the Sansamp as transparent or natural sounding which is the last way I’d describe them!
  12. I’ve got multiple preamps, some have more impact than others on EQ. The Capo is by far the cleanest offering some eq adjustments and adding/enriching some harmonic content (when you’re bypassing the gain focused side of the pedal). Obviously some add more grit and drive, some have pretty pronounced baked in eq curves. In my experience pickup and string choice has a much bigger impact on the fundamental sound of my bass than the preamp assuming it’s relatively flat.
  13. Sorry poor wording, only a single fx loop! So Channel 1 in/out was my bass in and out to amp, Channel 2 was the fx send.
  14. I think on the previous version I'd still built it with using a dedicated preamp and drive pedal via the fx loops where I've made sure this one is all in-Core stuff except for the IR I used. One thing that still really bugs me with the Core is not being able to set nice crossovers for the LPF and HPF, also the fact that on the MIX block the balance doesn't split like 50/50 but instead when set to the middle you literally get both full signals and a huge jump in volume. It's been fun playing around with it though!
  15. @Mook FYI I added a slightly updated version of the Multiband template patch, this has some actual effects added in there. The main thing was tweaking the frequencies to get the crossover a little more balanced. It's really hard to set the LPF and HPF so that you maintain a flattish signal. https://bosstoneexchange.com/liveset/1ebf69ef-c445-4490-a0bb-1cca3e4592a3/
  16. Sushi box seem to do a lot of great stuff in that territory although never had chance to try one.
  17. I was guilty of that “I only use 10%” thing when I sold my GT1k Core, tried to recreate exactly what I could do with their existing pedals without really exploring what other stuff it had to offer. Almost immediately after selling I got a big urge to experiment with more modulation and time based fx. Really enjoying having one integrated in my board again 🙌
  18. Ahhh fantastic! That’s very cool, I was contemplating trying similar with an OC-5 so that I could run the clean and sub octave through separate fx and blend them back together but never got around to trying it.
  19. Let me have a go but I’d assume so, I guess it depends where the blending takes place, I’ll have a go and repot back this evening!
  20. Mine is the 1st gen.
  21. Interface is a tricky one I think because it’s so subjective. I’ve always hated touch screens, find them inaccurate especially when your all hot and sweaty at a gig but I know a lot of people love them. The QC seems like something I could work with, nice mix of touch navigation, minimal UI but tactile dials for adjustment etc. Im a big fan of the GT1000 just because it’s so quick to wiz around the menus, even if it’s not the prettiest interface.
  22. That’s ace! Glad it’s been useful 🙌 I need to get Tone Studio installed so I can get it re-added to my patches.
  23. I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and when connected to my MacBook (m1) I get around 12ms round trip latency with Logic. Sounds like a fun project!
  24. Popped a quick video showing how I’m using the EAE Halberd, Dagger and 0xEAE Fuzz. It’s super rough and apologies for the shaky camera! I’d love to do a deep dive and proper demos of each as they’re capable of way more than I’m showing here but time is hard to find at the mo!
  25. And it’s finished. Glad to know I can stop the endless pursuit of new shiny pedals and finally focus on learning to play bass 🙏
