  1. Hahahaha didn't even notice, copied you on the off1 and now the avatar. You're a trailblazer of monochromatic pedalboards and profile pictures.
  2. Haha aye will slide into DMs for future Capo fanboy posts 😂
  3. Aye! It felt like a gamble ordering it given the price tag and how many alternatives are out there but paid off massively. It adds a lot of life to the sound, even with the B side at lower gain. Sounds absolutely incredible going into an all valve head but equally nice to know you can go direct to FOH and it'll cut through fine.
  4. Interested to know how you get on @Woodinblack I was thinking of trying to pick up another Boss GT core but the mod looks like a really cool option. The main thing that puts me off it is the single FX loop, i have a few other drives and preamps I'd like to incorporate and FX loops make it way easier.
  5. As someone who plays quite aggressively with a pick i can see the attraction. The initial attack on the string is always sharp, I usually account for this with tuning but that means any sustained notes will be slightly flat. From what I've read it sounds like you can set it up almost like a dead zone so only deliberately bent notes affect the pitch. Sure there would be a little learning curve but pretty sure you could set it up to be very subtle.
  6. Progress is slooooooow but very close now. Ended up using the Fiebings Leather dye and came out great although it's taken some knocks before being finished.
  7. Awesome! Will check it out 🙌 Not that I can afford to add anything new to my board for the foreseeable 😬
  8. Nice! I've never really found a fuzz I liked until the OFF1, only found a small demo of this but sounded great.
  9. All my broken cables are instrument, xlr and power cables that aren't fixed to a pedalboard. My EBS patch cables and Cioks power cables are by far the most reliable part of my board. I think even if I had a larger HX effects or similar I'd still want it mounted on a board like the Rockboards so everything important could be neatly wired and secured. Then again I couldn't imagine ever putting a board together that didn't include the Jad Freer Capo, even if I had a multi for everything else.
  10. I was thinking probably Darkglass are the other big player in multifx, i bet there are a lot of ADAM and Proton users etc.
  11. Bargin! If I hadn't just grabbed the WB-100 I'd have snapped that up, amazing amps.
  12. The LFSys sounds awesome although I'd need 2 and that's definitely out of budget! 2nd hand barefaced is much more in line with what I can justify.
  13. Thats very good to know, Im leaning toward the 12" versions. I found the 10" sounded great but the lows could be a little hard to control sometimes. Im not sure I'd need the extra top and bottom end that the BB line provides tbh but then again they sound incredible on demos. The Super Compact/Twin seem like they have the perfect range for clanky rock stuff to sit in the mix nicely.
  14. So next up on the list of eye wateringly expensive purchases is a cab. Previously I was considering the Barefaced four10 or six10 but I've see a few folks pairing the WB-100 and other similar all valve heads with the Super Twin or Big Baby 2 cabs, anyone here had any experience with them? I loved my two10 (only ever used it with a GK fusion S) and the singer in the band has a Super Twin which I'm gonna try to get around to trying but just curious to hear thoughts. I'd be pretty tempted by getting 2 Super Compacts/Big Baby cabs so I could use one at home and both for gigs.
  15. I wish mine worked, i tried it a couple of times at rehearsals. Great punchy warm tone from what I remember, might try and get it connected up soon.
  16. I think that largely depends on what effects you're trying to achieve. I've found that the modern multifx unit in many cases can be indistinguishable from the real world counterpart. I think my personal experience is that it's often a more editorialised version or snapshot of that effect, often missing some nuance when it comes to the individual controls and how they interact. If I replaced my analog pedals with a multifx it'd be about 1/4 of the price and I suspect 95% there tonally. The argument against going all digital for me is stubbornness.
  17. Yeah definitely, id probably expect a more budget friendly GX100core before they replaced the GT line. TBH the core line has more than enough power, especially compared to other similarly sized pedals. I can't see myself ever saying goodbye to analog pedals, the small profile multi like the core and stomp seem like the perfect way to inject some digital processing without completely replacing everything.
  18. I voted Boss although I don't currently own one I see it more as a hiatus as I do intend to grab a GT1000core at some point in the near future assuming they don't release a similarly sized upgrade.
  19. Yeah definitely leaning towards the 10" cabs. Its a hard one to justify at the mo though as the guitarist has a 6x10 and 8x10 Ampeg available and a van 😂
  20. Aye, I'm using the input of the Hand Box over the return just out of simplicity more than anything.
  21. Haha cutting through the mix is a double edged sword, its great people can hear you but unfortunately means you actually have to play the right notes in the right order.
  22. Haha thanks for letting us use the cabs, they sounded incredible. The SVT weighs a ton but it sounded incredible, really enjoyed it. I do enjoy that i can still play with an all valve head but still manage my head, bass and pedalboard in one trip without putting my back out 🙌
  23. Just on the Capo LPF, i was always a little concerned that it was applied to the line out as well as the DI signal. There was loads of presence and top end though, everything just sounded great. Even had someone mention how it had the perfect treble to cut through and give some clank.
  24. First gig last night with the WB-100. It sounded incredible 🤘 Immediately got compliments from the sound guy in check. After we played got a bunch of people asking what the head was, even the guitarist got complimented on how sick his bass tone was 😂 Very happy with the head, absolutely massive sound for a negligible weight. I'll never get bored of seeing the valves glowing away.
