  1. If I got the OFF1 I think I'd need to try and get hold of a Dunlop expression pedal or something. Pretty sure I'd be upgrading to the Rockboard 3.0/3.1 at that point!
  2. I keep thinking it would be nice to have something on my board that is a little more interesting rather than grit or compression and the OFF1 has me intrigued. We'd have practically the same board at that point though 😂
  3. Got the model p and the stellar tone ready to fit🤘 just waiting on a vol pot and trying to decide if i want to include a series parallel switch or just plug the unused hole in the pick guard. They don't look as good as the EMG but pretty confident they'll make a huge difference tonally.
  4. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
  5. Love the Cioks 4, tiny and can be battery powered. Great for small boards like the nano where most others struggle, 660ma on all the outlets is a huge win if you wanna use multifx too.
  6. I've got one with a footswitch that was gifted years ago but it's faulty, keep meaning to get it fixed as they sound incredible. Such a solid head. GLWTS
  7. Why is this still here?! I love the EAE Longsword but theres always been a little bit of me that was curious about this one.
  8. I think the VBA400 is about 40kg alone, that sounds like bliss!
  9. I'm running a variety of dirt and shaping into the Marshall VBA400. These were the house cabs but sounded great. This is my board. The Longsword is my main overdrive dirt tone, the Model FeT doesn't add much grit but just stacks perfectly. The Capo is just an incredible tone shaper and DI, it also adds more grit when needed 😂 Its a little overkill tbh, I'll probably remove the Model fet at some point. Don't need any other effects but I'd maybe replace with a small volume pedal perhaps.
  10. Rockboards are great, quite a lot of clearance underneath for a chunkier power supply and a thumpinator or a low profile DI etc.
  11. I'm not a fan of the usual dingwall body shapes but the Super P is great.
  12. Got the EAE Longsword, Model Fet and Jad Freer Capo. Also using the Hyper Luminal and a Thumpinator on there. Lots of grit options but a bit overkill 😂
  13. This was monstrous! Obnoxiously loud and punchy, lots of fun.
  14. Unfortunately i think Boss have taken the choice not to include synth stuff to avoid cannibalising their dedicated synth pedal sales.
  15. I've been on the fence about selling for a while but as much as I love this head I'm almost exclusively using a Marshall VBA400 and this is getting neglected. Selling a pristine GK Fusion S 800 bass head. Super light and portable tube amp, probably the most beautiful looking amp I've ever seen. According to GK: The Fusion S Series Heads are GK’s brand new Class D Model heads with a tube preamp. The rich warmth of tubes combined with the quick, punchy power section that GK bass amps are known for is an experience like no other. These high powered heads incorporate three 12ax7 tubes in the preamp, including one dedicated to the overdrive channel, making it GK’s first ever tube driven overdrive channel. Illuminated knobs add an extra level of sophistication and design by not only making it easier to dial in your tone on stage and but adding a beautiful stage presence as well. Each illuminated knob is also push activated, with additional voicing filters and tonal characteristics built in. Tube Preamp with (3) 12ax7s Four band active EQ Foot Switchable Tube Overdrive with Tone Control (Footswitch Included) Illuminated Knobs with Push Activation "Bump", "Contour", and "Presence" Push Button Voicing Filters Balanced XLR Output with Pre and Post EQ Unbalanced ¼” Send and Return Aux Input and Headphones Output Twist Lock Speaker Outputs 2, 2.7, 4 and 8ohm Load Capacity 11.5” Width x 11” Depth x 2 3/8” Theres one tiny scratch on top (see pictures) but other than that it's in practictically perfect condition. Happy to organise postage at the buyers expense, if it's fairly local I could probably deliver or meet halfway. Open to offers!
  16. You could just go into the fx return to rule out the amps preamp influencing the tone.
  17. I find pick playing cuts through much better in a mix, especially when you boost around 1khz. Certainly the case for me in heavier music at least where the bass is predominantly a driving force. In folkier bands i play with i find finger playing is much more complimentary and creates a nice pillowy backline. Ultimately that's hugely dependent on the context you're playing in though, what other frequencies you're battling against and tone you're trying to achieve. What cuts throughout for one situation might just create a muddy mess in another.
  18. I have a Fusion S 800 which is a fantastic amp, lots of character from a tiny head. I've used with all sorts of cabs and even through the BF two10 I was pleasantly surprised how well it kept up. It has a great range from clean warm tones to gritty modern distortion. Hard amp to fault! Don't get to use it much because the guitarist in the new band has a VBA400 which just sounds incredible, even if it does need 2 people to carry it! In all honesty if it was just me I'd be opting to use the GK purely for convenience but that all tube sound is really hard to beat!
  19. Yeah I think after a lot of playing and rewiring my board every few days this is my favourite order/configuration. I think the reason it works well for me is that the hyper luminal up front with a low threshold and the FeT at the end with its tubelike compression gives a really smooth driven tone while still having loads of clank. I'm gonna keep the FeT, it just sounds too good for high gain to let it go although it's subtle and pretty sure not a single person listening would know or care 😂 @krispn its a greater pedal although if you're fairly happy with your setup it's unlikely to warrant the purchase. If you were in the market for a very high quality DI (or two) and wanted a very flexible preamp on top then its a pretty compelling buy. It's a high price for gas though! If I'm totally honest the Capo didn't quite end up doing what I'd hoped, I'd really wanted to consolidate down to a single preamp with a good drive. It's not a fair criticism of the Capo as I've come to realise its the power stage emulation and it's compression and clipping rather that the actual preamp section of the FeT which the Capo can easily mimic.
  20. Well still debating the Model FeT staying on my board, it's so subtle but it just does something a little magical as the gain gets higher. I think it's mostly down to how in mimics the Model T power stage and adds a little extra compression etc. 3 levels of grit from light to heavy (Capo, Capo + Longsword, Capo + Longsword boosted), first bar of each is without the FeT and second is with it on. The EQ on the FeT are pretty flat and lowered the gain on both channels so by it's self it is pretty clean. I need help, I'm starting to feel like it's just in my head! 😂
  21. Yeah, i think its a great benefit for recording. I think most gigs I've played if you gave FOH an extra dry DI signal to work with they'd give an almighty eye roll 🤣
