  1. Did a very quick demo of the Capo, running through the controls and showing how it reacts to drives etc. No annotations or talking just me haphazardly twiddling dials and hoping for the best.
  2. After much deliberation I decided the Mastro Valvola OFF1 just wasn't for me. So back to drawing board, this gap isn't going to fill itself! Thinking about grabbing an EAE Halberd to pair with the Longsword and replace the OFF1 at which point i think it's safe to say I've got dirt covered. I have been blown away by everything EAE and aside from the Capo they're the only pedals which have lived up to my internal hype. Considering grabbing another GT1000core when I can afford it to introduce some additional effects and experimentation. It would be really handy for recording guitar too.
  3. I borrowed one off someone at work a while back, it sat on a shelf until a few days before he asked for it back when I actually tried it. It's a prettier hideous design but sounded fantastic. Been looking out for a decent price on one ever since to have more of a play.
  4. Its a beast! Have you tried the Pharaoh or any of the Black Arts Toneworks stuff?
  5. I'm not sure what range is effected by the treble control but it's much higher band than most preamps I've used. I only touch it when I'm putting guitar through.
  6. Schecter J4 and P4 Exotic with DR hi beams mostly. Music wise it's mostly the band stuff which is noisy rock, kinda like Quicksand/Rival Schools I guess. Lots of Tool and other heavier stuff but also lots of folky stuff which calls for a much cleaner rounder tone. I'd say its a fairly broad spectrum tonally and I never have much trouble dialing it in. I even use the Capo for some light tone shaping on guitar which works great too. Probably gonna pop flats on my p4 for a little extra variety in future.
  7. It's been discussed already but its very easy to configure the Evertune to respond to any string bends and vibrato.
  8. It really is fantastic, I don't think you'll regret it!
  9. Hahahaha didn't even notice, copied you on the off1 and now the avatar. You're a trailblazer of monochromatic pedalboards and profile pictures.
  10. Haha aye will slide into DMs for future Capo fanboy posts 😂
  11. Aye! It felt like a gamble ordering it given the price tag and how many alternatives are out there but paid off massively. It adds a lot of life to the sound, even with the B side at lower gain. Sounds absolutely incredible going into an all valve head but equally nice to know you can go direct to FOH and it'll cut through fine.
  12. Interested to know how you get on @Woodinblack I was thinking of trying to pick up another Boss GT core but the mod looks like a really cool option. The main thing that puts me off it is the single FX loop, i have a few other drives and preamps I'd like to incorporate and FX loops make it way easier.
  13. As someone who plays quite aggressively with a pick i can see the attraction. The initial attack on the string is always sharp, I usually account for this with tuning but that means any sustained notes will be slightly flat. From what I've read it sounds like you can set it up almost like a dead zone so only deliberately bent notes affect the pitch. Sure there would be a little learning curve but pretty sure you could set it up to be very subtle.
  14. Progress is slooooooow but very close now. Ended up using the Fiebings Leather dye and came out great although it's taken some knocks before being finished.
  15. Awesome! Will check it out 🙌 Not that I can afford to add anything new to my board for the foreseeable 😬
  16. Nice! I've never really found a fuzz I liked until the OFF1, only found a small demo of this but sounded great.
  17. All my broken cables are instrument, xlr and power cables that aren't fixed to a pedalboard. My EBS patch cables and Cioks power cables are by far the most reliable part of my board. I think even if I had a larger HX effects or similar I'd still want it mounted on a board like the Rockboards so everything important could be neatly wired and secured. Then again I couldn't imagine ever putting a board together that didn't include the Jad Freer Capo, even if I had a multi for everything else.
  18. I was thinking probably Darkglass are the other big player in multifx, i bet there are a lot of ADAM and Proton users etc.
  19. Bargin! If I hadn't just grabbed the WB-100 I'd have snapped that up, amazing amps.
  20. The LFSys sounds awesome although I'd need 2 and that's definitely out of budget! 2nd hand barefaced is much more in line with what I can justify.
  21. Thats very good to know, Im leaning toward the 12" versions. I found the 10" sounded great but the lows could be a little hard to control sometimes. Im not sure I'd need the extra top and bottom end that the BB line provides tbh but then again they sound incredible on demos. The Super Compact/Twin seem like they have the perfect range for clanky rock stuff to sit in the mix nicely.
  22. So next up on the list of eye wateringly expensive purchases is a cab. Previously I was considering the Barefaced four10 or six10 but I've see a few folks pairing the WB-100 and other similar all valve heads with the Super Twin or Big Baby 2 cabs, anyone here had any experience with them? I loved my two10 (only ever used it with a GK fusion S) and the singer in the band has a Super Twin which I'm gonna try to get around to trying but just curious to hear thoughts. I'd be pretty tempted by getting 2 Super Compacts/Big Baby cabs so I could use one at home and both for gigs.
  23. Very surprised its still here at that price!
  24. I wish mine worked, i tried it a couple of times at rehearsals. Great punchy warm tone from what I remember, might try and get it connected up soon.
  25. I think that largely depends on what effects you're trying to achieve. I've found that the modern multifx unit in many cases can be indistinguishable from the real world counterpart. I think my personal experience is that it's often a more editorialised version or snapshot of that effect, often missing some nuance when it comes to the individual controls and how they interact. If I replaced my analog pedals with a multifx it'd be about 1/4 of the price and I suspect 95% there tonally. The argument against going all digital for me is stubbornness.
