  1. I didn't, although I have Nolly and Gojira, and both fave stuff that sounds great for bass. The clean amps with some tweaking are pretty usable.
  2. Yeah, it's pretty awesome how much stuff is available and for a great price. It's made for interesting reading, too. I need to experiment more with vsts. I'm pretty happy with stuff I'm doing on the QC, but stuff like the space echo would be fun. Will be following!
  3. Looks like a cool setup! I can't help but notice you've had a few different setups from multifx to dedicated pedals. What's the driver for moving to this setup? Is it just experimentation, or is it a specific problem to solve? I've been blown away by some of the vst effects, amp sims, and captures available. My mate was using his Steam Deck as a little portable practice rig with a tonex one. it's a great time to be nerdy and into effects 🤣
  4. Same with the Capo, loved A, B felt redundant. That sounds excellent 👌 Yeah split keyboards and all the monitors is the way to go 🤣
  5. How’d ya know?! 🤣 I’m a web developer and general geek. That’s a nice setup! Really intrigued by the DCX Bass. The Sushi-Nobel DI too. It’s a lot of awesome for such a small board!
  6. I decided to mix it up, and I had a lot of pedals on the shelf I missed as I could only fit around 4 with the QC. I'm now using the QC as my interface, and it has a semi-permanent place on the desk while I'm not doing any projects. I slapped all the favourites back on my board, which is all hooked up to the fx loops of the QC. The Model Fet and Mother in one loop and everything else in the other. It's probably gonna stay like this for a while, makes it way easier to get captures etc and let's meet fiddle.
  7. Takes up a lot of desks, but its pretty!
  8. I used to use my Scarlett 2i2, and it also served up computer audio either to my monitors or headphones. Just switched to using my QC on my desk, doing the same job, but it means it's always in reach to tweak. While I'm not doing any band stuff, it doesn't need to be portable!
  9. Yeah, if I had even the sniff of doing any gigging or band stuff there’s no way I’d be even considering letting it go. Same goes for the Baer cab. Amazing gear!
  10. If I didn't already have 2 I’d, snap this up! 🤣
  11. Very cool. I was always really impressed with their fx and amp sims. I wish they'd get a more regular release cadence, but the most recent bass amps are supposed to be really good. Always annoyed me, and they completely held back any synth blocks from the GT/GX line and kept it all for the SY stuff. Seems like a solid entry for the lower end, although I wish they'd keep up with regular additions and improvements.
  12. I did a lot of reading up, and it seems that Wilde pickups get a lot of love as replacements for the T-60s. Took a bit of a punt and grabbed them, and they arrived this morning: The pickup surrounds they came with are really chunky. They seem like LP ones will get them swapped out for more low-profile metal ones, I think.
  13. The longer it stays, the more I'm tempted to keep it 😂
  14. Added the new (to me) Longsword v2 and absolutely love it 🔥🔥🔥 The Model Fet and the Longsword are such a good pairing. The Halberd gets used to adding some clank to guitar when needed. Lots of switches and settings to play around with.
  15. Well, a small update, I made some tweaks and thinking of going down a more T-60 route: Didn't take any pictures but did some planing, and the body blanks are now prepped to glue. Started to get some of the components through the mail, next I'll start to get the electronics soldered 🙌
  16. I loved the Capo. Such a good utility pedal. In the end, I replaced it with the Shiftline Olympic, which worked for me better. Since then, I've moved on to the Quad Cortex but still use my Shiftline Olympic captures for everything. Both are great though.
  17. Yeah that makes sense, pretty much what I suspected! I think I’ll keep an eye out for any off cuts on eBay to possibly make a little hinged pedal raiser/shelf perhaps rather than a full board. Might just use some plywood offcuts I’ve got knocking around, though 👌 I did have a hacked together raise, but it's a pain to access pedals under, and it'd be nice if it looked a little better!
  18. Just wondered if anyone had built their own pedal board using or including aluminium profile such as this: https://www.aluminium-profile.co.uk/ I was thinking a mix of this for the frame, and a 2 tier hinged section might be a fun thing to build.
  19. Only managed to play 3 small gigs with this head, but it sounded absolutely incredible. Super compact and light for an all valve head, weighing in at around 16kg, I believe. I went from a 40kg Marshall VBA400, and for me, the sound was ever bit as good. Comes with the front and back case covers along with a padded case. If you're interested i’d check out the Handbox appreciation thread for more details: Having to downsize the office, and as I'm not gigging and don't have any musical projects on the horizon, I'm having to reluctantly put this up here. Message for any questions. Collection only could post, but it'd be on the buyer to sort it! Orange for scale, didn't have a banana.
  20. This thing sounds mint. I think most people are familiar with them, if not there's some great videos comparing them to the likes of the Nobel etc online. Valve preamp, nice eq options, excellent cabsim and very hight quality DI. It dethroned the Capo for me which was a pedal I never saw myself parting with. I find myself without any music projects on the go or the horizon and I’m using the QC exclusively for everything now. If I had space and money, I'd be keeping this, but having sized down the office to an ever growing offspring and the financial burdens that come with it, this is on the chopping block! I'd record some audio samples, but think I’d end up withdrawing the ad if I did! Buyer pays postage.
  21. I'd experiment personally. Typically, you'd have it towards the end before delays and reverbs but not a hard rule.
  22. I've made very few alterations to my board since getting the Quad Cortex. I made a few alterations last night and pretty happy. I'm really enjoying this layout, though. Got my Model feT and Cali76 as pretty much always on and a couple of dirt flavours the QC doesn't really cover. I'm really happy with the bass and guitar tones I'm getting out of this.
  23. If you’re trying to capture an amp and cab then sure. I think it’s more common to pair a capture of an amp with an IR for the cab. For that you just need a DI or a load box.
  24. I think a lot of people who're interested in these units have a sound that they're completely happy with already, they just want a more convenient form factor.
  25. Someone just beat you to it, I'm afraid!
