  1. Ahhhh would love to grab this but having the 0xEAE Fuzz makes it hard to justify owning any more fuzz!
  2. Cheers! Helped that my dad is a luthier so I had access to all the knowledge and tools.
  3. That’d be this bass I built when I was 16. 16 year old me had very different aesthetic preferences than 36 year old me. It’s also the heaviest bass I’ve ever played 😂
  4. I just leap on to my pedalboard and hope for the best.
  5. Yeah I just plugged mine in for a quick 5 mins on my lunch break in the garden, got carried away and now have no time for lunch 😂 It really does sound great. Managed to play around a little more and get a decent enough driven tone too.
  6. Had 20 mins with it, first impressions on bass were a little less exciting flipping through presets but as soon as I created a patch from scratch it took very little time to get something good in place. Quite like the Vintage amp, didn’t really dig into the fx much but the comps are great. EQ blocks are pretty similar to the GT1000 so just mimicked my settings there. Drives sounded a little buzzy but drives always need tweaking a fair bit I’ve found, some more EQ should help. One thing that seems odd is that the collection of drives on Bass mode seems to be really restricted, no RAT and it’s missing some other really good drives I’d want to try out. It’s clearly designed with the strat style front mounted jacks in mind, all my basses and guitars have output jacks on the side so the GO doesn’t really stay in position that well. Overall though sounds great, well beyond what I expected. If you’re after a handy practice tool this really is incredible.
  7. It arrived today! Literally had 60 seconds on it, just plugged it into the guitar I had nearby and blown away by the quality. I was expecting it to feel pretty harsh and lacking depth but it sounds remarkably good. Looking forward to getting some bass tones in for when the child falls asleep in the car and I need to keep an eye on her and all the other situations where I fancy a noodle but can’t.
  8. Yeah I cancelled with thomann as they said they had no eta, hate grabbing stuff Amazon but it’s the only place with stock. Should be here tomorrow 🙌 I've got the GT1000core so intrigued how much they managed to squeeze in to the GO.
  9. I’d definitely welcome visitors on my pedalboard if there are any pedals out there who want a place to stay 🙌
  10. That’s so cool! I think I might give the quad series ago if I scale up again. I went for tres, it fits 2 rows but pretty tight and nearly always has overhang of pedals. Having the extra space for cables looks way more practical and tidy I think.
  11. It’s my daughter’s 4th birthday today so there’s no way of me squeezing in a decent session without some major eye rolls from my partner. I did manage 5 mins though and it sounds delightful! Really punchy and full sounding, chords or droning stuff sounds really clear, much less muddy compared to my jazz. The filters are gonna take a little getting used to, intuitive but still unfamiliar. It’s odd being able to fine tune both pickups rather than a more typical tone that shapes the overall sound.
  12. With added knobs 👌
  13. All wired up and strung with some fresh Newtone strings, looks excellent but needs a little time under tension to settle before I get it set up properly I think. Not a problem as I forgot to charge a 9v battery in preparation. It’s clearly been a while since I’ve played an active bass 🥲
  14. Well I decided as much as I like the bass, the p-pickup sound just isn’t something I really enjoy. If I need a P-bass sound I can get close enough with my Yamaha BB. Decided to mod my P4 with some Turner multicoil pickups and go for a DIY budget Wal makeover. Not quite finished but getting close!!!
  15. Me too!!! Should hopefully get it all connected later today 🙏
  16. Just had one of those “hang on a minute” moments regarding the missing flat head screwdriver bits when I woke up this morning. It struck me odd on reflection that they were missing despite the lack of empty spaces where they should live… Checked this morning and as suspected I had a suspicious number of similarly sized bits. My daughter had turned them all round at some point and I was too tired to work it out last night 😂
  17. I got the Schecter P4 Exotic a couple of years back and while I loved the way it played and the look I realised that P bass sound wasn’t for me. After watching @funkle’s post on building a Wal-ish I decided I wanted to build my own. It’s something I’d looked at before but always seemed like a massive leap of faith with the lack of demos, all the content showing off the Lusithand NFP and Turner Pickups pushed me over the edge. Here’s some of the process so far: The original Schecter P4 Exotic. Prepping for incision, getting centre lines and working out how much needed routing out. A little improvising and got it routed, regretted forgetting the dust extractor for the router though… A new pick guard and some extremely deep pickup cavities to house the Turner English voiced multicoil pickups. Test fit before I attached the neck and started connecting wires. The journey has hit a blocker there sadly as I seem to have misplaced my flathead screwdriver bits to connect the preamp and pickups. Hopefully should get that all finished up this weekend though 🙌
  18. PS sorry @funkle for hijacking your thread.
  19. Just finished routing the pick guard and some finishing touches like countersinking the screws etc. Was just about to connect it up and realised all my flathead screwdrivers i need to connect the pickups and preamp have gone missing 🥲 Very happy with how it’s turning out, ended up spacing the pickups a little further than initially intended largely down to cosmetics and symmetry.
  20. Yeah if you move the divider directly after the input you get a Selector routing option. Dunno what it does but sounds like it has a lot of potential!
  21. I believe you need it set to Mode = Pan, not sure if you could then set an assign to toggle mix 100:0 or 0:100 or something. I seem to remember if you put a divider immediately after the input it changes too.
  22. Haha yeah we used to get away with a lot so it’s probably about time 😂 I know one person who used his to read lyrics at gigs which is probably breaching multiple company policies.
  23. Ahh yeah I think that’s how I had it set up with bothe the GT1000core and Scarlett before I sold it, regretted it and bought another 🤣 A while back work clamped down on people installing random software on work laptops, luckily i already had logic set up. Just got a 2nd hand Mac Mini for personal use so I can actually install the boss drivers and tone studio etc so I can actually get a bit more use out of it now. Gonna have a play. I’ll hang onto the Scarlett as it’s a 1st gen and now worth selling, hand for connecting monitors and headphones to.
  24. Anybody using their GT1000 as an audio interface for recording? I have a Focusrite Scarlett I typically use. Combined with the Capos pre/post DI it makes it really easy to get a dry signal as well incase I want to reamp. It’s a lot of cables though. The GT1000core provides a main, sub and dry signal in stereo too via usb I believe? It also allows you to reamp without having to faff around with reamp boxes etc. Kind seems like a no brainier now!
