Right then everytime anyone mentions vintage Fenders on here someone pipes up that you could never use it and if you fart near it the value halves etc etc etc.
Can't say i've ever known anyone to say that, or anything along the lines (not that i've looked out for it mind), there are many examples of people with gigging vintage Fenders on the forum.
2. Don't have spare funds and the only thing i can offer as trade bait is an Eden Metro combo..
3. your replies are a bit selective dave... You still haven't told us where you gig so we can all hear you play with this 'super tone'
4. As predicted, a stream of sh!te comes out the new guys mouth in an attempt to ruffle the feathers of the regulars. Where you from? 'cos there will deffinitly be a few basschatters near you who i'm sure would be happy to come and see you gig to experience this 'super tone' for themselves
5.
You can't beat an all valve head... I'm afraid!
If an unbeatable all valve head was after me, i'd be afraid to...
6. Another beautifull Shuker is born! congrats! Oh.. though by the way.. i have the biggest pickup...
7. for the first time, i've seen a bass i want more than my own. it's a strange feeling...
8. My friend was the sound engineer for them in the Globe. I was kind of hoping you were gonna say the sound quality was awfull so i could go and mock him. But oh well! Would have loved to come to it, but was gigging myself, so no dice
9.
May I be the first to say "you need to post a price"
No, you may not. Oh, nice bass BTW
10. Try some deep vibrations with them, work on mine! I'd always wanted to have a dog that would join us on stage ever since seeing LouDog chilling up there with Sublime in one of their videos. But Ted is quite a nervous/jumpy dog and i would never have thought he'd like even being in the same room so always kept him away at rehersals and stuff. Then we were doing this gig in a youth hostel/centre on our coastline and were camping in the field that night so i brought the dog along. He was with us when we were setting up and stuff but i was gonna put him in the van when we played. As people arrived Ted was quite happy wondering around and no-one seemed to mind the dog being there so i left him out. When we started playing i expected him to go find a quiet corner or something but he walked up to the stage and lay down against the front of my bass amp (which was pretty loud), and was there for the rest of the gig, except for a few moments where he went and lay by the bass drum. I was a very proud daddy!
11. I have the Metro combo which features, in part, this preamp section (if i'm not mistaken?), it is actually amazing.

I was fortunate enough to have Si come to one of my gigs in Cardiff a few years ago. He didn't know who i was and we had only had brief chats on here, but still he made the effort to come out on a tueseday night to see us play. Full of fantastic advice and a level of observation that made clear he took an active interest in helping others. A very rare gem that will leave a noticable hole both on this forum and in many of our lives. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
13. I have an Alsatian called Ted who loves bass! He's quite an unsettled dog generally, always wondering about, never lies still for long. But he's been to a few gigs and has amazed me by lying down either in front of the bass drum or the bass amp and chilling. For the entire set... Don't have a picture at the moment though..
14. I'll take it thankyouplease!
15. £475 for an amp of this quality is a very rare thing! Whoever looks at this and thinks 'hmmm.. maby', should stop being a pansy and get it. They'll be very happy!
16. Oh dear... This needs some serious consideration...
17. Price is not an easy one for tecamp, especially after the guitarguitar sale. When i needed the money I put my 1x12 combo up here asking £500, I had a lot of interest and 3 definate 'will buy's, but then no longer needed the money and withdrew it. The 2x10 is obviously bigger and has the next amp up in it if i'm not mistaken? Also I think eubassix sold one recently?
18. i think at some point you there will be a brief moment where you go 'huh, shoulda kept that thing'. But then the at the moment it does look surplus to requirements and selling it will benifit you now. And if it's a couple of years before the need arises for something larger, i'm sure there will be something nice for sale that you can buy then.
19.
What about using DI instead? A
DI the bass drum?
20. Great interview, thanks!
21.
This thing sounds just epic.... This is a serious monster which shifts the most air of any bass amp/cab combo I've used
Usually these sort of statements have to be taken with a pinch of salt, but having owned a Metro combo (only a 2x10 and less watts) for a few months i can say for certain that this borders on understatement! Good luck with the trade.
22. I expect to make people cry, and for them question the validity of music itself with my self indulgent, self righteous manner. Either that, or what everyone else says...
23.
He has been having issues with his email.
He was having e-mail problems 7 years ago. I think it's more he's a technophobe than anything else
24. I loved his performance that got aired on BBCi player last year, so was really looking forward to this, but like others i found it to be a little cringey, and Stevie's voice was not on form IMO. Turned off after Higher Ground (i had work in the morning, which was a factor in that descision mind)
25. Alex's cabs are doing a tour, put your name on the list on this forum and you could try one for free!
