    I bought this terrific cab from Karlfer in Wigan 3 years ago and it has served me well in a rock band that is now defunct. Karlfer is a great guy who undersold the Made-in -Italy cab for only £375, so that is my asking price (around 15% less than on a famous auction site). It is surprisingly light for a 2X12 cab and sounded great in rehearsals and a few gigs and impressed bandmates along the way. The cab made a huge difference to the sound of the band compared to my previous Aguilar DB112. The 600F32 is a lot of sound for little money – coupled with a Little Mark II amp, the 800-watt cab sounds immense. Especially handy is the dB level control to trim the sound according to your environment. The 4ohm cab (ported top and bottom) is in great condition and comes with a rather fetching black-and-yellow waterproof cover, which is a little scuffed. There are four rubber feet on the bottom and four on the side so you can decide how to place the cab at the gig or rehearsal – upright or on its side. Dimensions: 28" wide (710mm) 19" deep (480mm) 21" high (530mm) I can't say for certain how old it is but it has had an easy life, and I'm sure you will not be disappointed with the sound, relative portability (one-person lift) and aesthetics of the famous yellow and black branding. I don't have any suitable packing so please pick-up from Lytham St Annes in Lancashire where you are welcome to try before you buy. Not really looking for trades but you can always try me.

    First of all, Wizbat, thanks for that. I am in Lancashire. I've just followed your links to your six strings - incredible. Jon, thanks for the info. Yes, the one nearest the neck looks original because the hole someone has made in the scratchplate is a poor job. Also, I was wrong, the two pick-ups do not sound the same - maybe similar. But the new one is much 'hotter'. The micro switch is working but not in the central position. Wow, only been on this forum a week and learning so much. Thanks guys Alan

    Hi Jon Thanks for your well-informed reply. Now I know what it's called! Yes, the bass is as I bought it, and the last owner said he had just changed the strings so this is the first time they have been off in a couple of years. I'm not sure what you mean by the '2 neck position high gains'. I must admit the switching confuses me. Do you mean the large toggle switch or the tiny 3-way switch embedded in the finger rest? Left or right the tiny 3-way sounds the same, centre is off! One other thing, you may be able to detect two small holes on the upper part of the body (under the elbow) - what might they have been used for? I'll try the other thread for advice on the pick-up and see how I get on. Thanks Alan
