How long to wait? Custom stuff content.
I know who you are on about, and get to the back of the queue, I ordered mine before you :-D Mine was ordered on 1st Aug with a 3-4 week promised timeframe. He has been replying to emails : 2/9 - "Sorry, it will be shipped quite soon" 17/9 - "Sorry, shipping today" 3/10 - lots of apologies, an offer of a refund or shipping in the next week. I went for the latter. Still waiting......
Hah you are correct! I've had nothing since the 2nd. -
Hmm, at least you have a running dialogue going on - it's not like you paid in August and have heard nothing since. These custom builders are usually one man outfits, so things like supplier delays or ilness can have a big knock on effect. it's possible that your order is packaged up and ready to go on his workbench, but a couple of days off ill or hanging around waiting for parts means that he's now behind on the 12 other orders he has and he hasn't had time to nip down to the post office or check his email every day. I had a similar delay experience with a US builder. The original 4-6 week delivery ended up being something like 13 weeks due to illness/sudden increase in orders/parts supply problems and the fact that the guy stil had a 'day job' to go to. I think a little bit more patience is justified in this instance. The wait will be worth while - it certainly was for me.
True - But again, I'm doing all the chasing. At this stage, I feel I should be getting proper updates weekly. I'm hoping they'll be worth it, but now - I don't even know. -
How long to wait? As long as you were told it was going to take... It's unacceptable that builders just let shipping dates pass without a word. If the delay is communicated to you in a timely fashion then no problem, but just missing dates is not right. Rob
I agree 5 week wait I was alright with, Then when I was told there was a delay, I was fine. I just don't understand why 3 pedals can take 10 weeks to build.... ARG! -
I would call him for a chat.
Looks like it might come to that. If I can find a number. Not looking forward to calling someone in the states. EDIT: Can't find a number - bugger. -

I should add also - By custom I simply mean hand made! As in I've not requested anything different than a standard model! -
Hey guys, This is a slight continuation of the custom builders thread. I've got some items I'm waiting on ($600+) - Ordered at the start of Aug (1st week), got an email back from the builder saying there would be about a 5 week wait. No worries I can live with that. I've got some holidays and other things to deal with, so no rush at that point. Fast forward a week after the 5 week mark - i email and ask if there is an ETA, not pushing; simply looking for an update. I'm told there was a hold up and they will be shipped this week or next (now at Sept 17th). Awesome - soon then. Fast forward again to 2nd October - still not sign of tracking number, so I mail once again. Get told They have no shipped yet, but should be shipped in the next few days. Now here we are at the 10th - 8 days after I was told it would be shipped in the next few days. I've used this builder before, and was excellent then. But now I've waited for well over the proposed 5 week build time, and I'm just tired. Everytime i mail, I'm told that it will be shipped that week etc. Am I within my grounds to ask for a refund? I think 10 weeks (almost) is insane. Even more annoying is the fact that I'll still need to wait for the units to arrive from the states!

I would love this hah!

A/B switch, A+B switch, gain control for both channels, phase switch for both channels, and gain controls for A+B channels. Hopefully with Metal Gear inspired artwork! We couldn't get a bypass without adding another footswitch (which is totally fine with me!)
Perfectly possible, although the difficulty I would find is in that you couldn't go either or and both or neither in any order you wanted. I just got a custom LS-2 based unit from Tom at Cog effects. If you arn't fussed about clean blends and phase stuff you could just get a 2 channel switcher with a on/off for each and an accompanying level control. If its small enough then it's easy to press both at the same time. Then you don't have to cycle from A to B to get to A+B. Two switch way if A is on you stomp both and it switches B on and A off or if you want both just stomp B. Mine is mint, I would hit Tom up as his build times sent too long either.
I now have a custom unit on the way after some talks with Tom. Great to deal with. looking forward to it!

Hey guys, I'm wondering how easy it would be to make an LS-2 but with a single footswitch that goes A+B to A>B. Bypass not required. I recall Shep had (and sold) one like this from SFX a while back. Is there anything on the market that could do this? Or will it be a complete custom job? Is this a project I could attempt to muddle though on my own? I'm looking to get into building my own fx (just for the entertainment value more than anything). If it could be, anyone have any idea how to do it? Cheers! Dave

Wonder if they'll do a mini low pass filter eventually. I did love my Moog Ring though.
-
I've done it for a few years, but this year I'm not sure. I need my beard for some halloween parties (at the start of Nov!). I have found that all guys love a mouzer - woman tended to reference the village people quite often! I have no idea what they mean!
-
I have no problem with them - in fact we tend to use them often. We've tried adding other musicians but it just wasn't as good as the 4 (or 3) of us. We would never use guitar/bass/drum backing tracks though. We're trying to salvage a song we wrote, but its all on piano!

Apparently mine still havent been shipped... Not really amused currently ordered at the start of aug :/
I'm definitely vain and happy to admit it.
Me too. The cloth finish looks looooovely though!
Something pointy like a bc rich warlock or explorer I guess?
I got a concussion from a bc rich before. Burst my head open too. Bassist jumped into the crowd and boom, goodnight mr wood! I lamped someone with my old Warwick corvette's head. Stage invasion (?!) kid was pretty mong'd after!
Kind of wish I'd taken you up on your offer now; recording is tomorrow and still no Xerograph. Grrrr
You recording only tomorrow? If its like the rest of the week, i can send mine tomorrow?

Bit of a shame. Dragon Vs Shinbi Ninja and Fake sound of progress were songs of my youth (no pun intended!). UK version of LP is good comparison I feel. I started to dislike them when the songs suffered due to image. Also Watkins is such a miserable sod live!
