Hey folks, I'm looking for a pedal which can allow me to do filter swells or low pass swells. I know the Xerograph can do this but the cost new (thanks customs/taxes) and time to arrive is making me look at other units. It needs to have a pretty small footprint (so the moog LPF is out!) and have an expression output. If it can be an envelope filter aswell as the low pass filter would be great (ala xerograph deluxe). Anyone have any suggestions on units which would be suitable. For an idea of sound - think the filtered bass part in City of Delusion by Muse (I think thats an FM4 but thats too large for my needs.) Thanks. Dave
I'm 8 weeks in and it seems like forever! On top of that I've sold my 4x10's and my 1x15 so am having to use my old 8x10 for every gig at the moment. At least it'll make the new cab seem even lighter!
I'm at week 13 almost anticipation is killing me!
i've just checked my email and the gap between final payment and delivery was a touch over 2 months! i have no idea if this is normal but it was definately worth the wait as the cabs are outstanding! i've now bought the extra padded Roqsolid covers for mine and am loving every minute i use them! Matt
What?! Swear this had better be the greatest cab I've ever used
I ordered mine on 21st May. Got a message 2 weeks ago saying it was ready, and payment requested. I paid on 12th July and arranged with Alex for delivery yesterday as it was my first day back from holiday. No response to my payment and no response for my 'where is it' emails and phone calls. There's patience and there's 'where's my £980 cab' patience
Strange... I ordered mine on the 3rd May...
I think the worst thing a shop can do is put you through some little practice amp when you're trying out an instrument. Surely you want it to sound as good as it can when the prospective customer is making up his or her mind? Case in point - was in Glasgow a couple of weeks back. Tried a bass in one shop and was put through an Orange crush combo which was buried behind another amp (?). Tried a bass in another shop and was put through a Mark Bass combo. From which shop do you think I bought the bass? Not the first time a shop has lost a sale from me because they made the bass I am trying sound merely functional. I try not to take it personally either, but there's a degree of feeling like I'm not being taken seriously in all this.
Which shop did the crappy amp thing? Just so I know where to avoid! Guitar Guitar in Glasgow were great when I was trying out FX. Asked what bass I played, what amp I played and got testing on equipment which was close. Almost ended up badly when I almost walked with the bass, head and cab! Would have bankrupt myself

Silly question - when did you order? I'm getting itchy for my S12T/V too!

Bought Pete's MarkBass Super Synth over the weekend. Great comms, answered promptly and fully and sent the pedal well packed and very quickly. Would use again! Cheers Pete!
Give the Streamliner a go if you can find one to try out and want to go the amp change route. I have one & A/B'd it with a Shuttle before I got the Streamliner. They are VERY different beasts and the Streamliner is much warmer, but still with some nice top snap through my BF S12T
I think thats exactly what I want. I'll have the same cab soon too. Anyone got a Streamliner in Scotland I could try?

Hey guys, I bought this a few months ago and as much as love the weight and look of it, I think I'm Ampeg through and through. I've used Jessies pic's so hopefully he doesn't mind (if you do man, let me know and i'll replace! ) It has some scratches on the bottom (it was like that when I bought it, and the previous owner bought it - doesn't effect the sound in the slightest. Its not even noticeable when using the head!) http://basschat.co.uk/topic/202312-genz-benz-shuttle-60/page__p__2071855__hl__genz%20benz%20shuttle%206__fromsearch__1#entry2071855 This is the original thread. Valve has been replaced with a JJ Tesla. The head sounds amazing - just not to my preference. Trade wise looking for something a little warmer and something with a bit more dirt I'd guess. Things like:- Ampeg PF-500 (or 800!) Genz Benz Streamliner (600/900) Other suggestions? Sadly think it needs to remain a micro head (backs not what it used to be!) Fender Blacktop Telecaster in titanium silver, rosewood fretboard, maple neck. Pickups are a Kent Armstrong Motherbucker (original - a "hot" Motherbucker would be the modern comparison) in the bridge and a Bareknuckle Mississippi Queen humbucker sized P90 in the neck. Electrics have been upgraded - new 500k pots for volume and tone, volume pot acts as a push-pull coil tap for the Motherbucker, and both pots have been fitted with Orange Drop capacitors. Sounds beautiful - Motherbucker is a HUGE pickup made up of four single coils, and the MQ is a great P90 - cleans up wonderfully but can scream and shout when required. Would take £450 for it in the Aberdeen/shire area. More pics available on request. And yes, it needs a wee bit of a clean in that photo!

Okay - Had a proper discussion with Rich and cleared some things up. Good news is he believes that the paint issue is hopefully fully resolved now. More good news is that the neck work is looking pristine and perfect. And I admit, I was getting worried. But with Rich's attention to detail (some might say obsessive ), Should have known there was nothing to worry about. Soon my pretty! -
May I ask, how did you come across this talent?
I have no idea, used to be able to balance a bass upside down on my chin and forehead too. All I can say is I was 14, Living in Aberdeen and waiting for guitarists to get an ounce of skill so we could jam I had lots of time...
