1. Bad memory/no time to respond? I know I'm awful at replying to PM's!
2. It might have been sold elsewhere. Or someone else got there first...
3.
No. I emailed Alex before that, explaining what I did, what I expected, what I liked, and what use I'd make of the cab I wanted to buy. I explained I was unsure whether the Midget or Compact would be more appropriate. He replied saying that given all that, he would recommend I get the Compact. So I said I'd go for the compact then, and went to place the order and paid the deposit. I guess I should contact him again just in case.
Check your junk mail. Alex's mail ended up there with me.
4. Hah! I still haven't heard back but was emailing last week too. Decided to go for tweeter too, never used one before but thought it would be good to have, but not need - than need and not have!
5.
Hey!!! Stop ordering cabs! I just placed an order for a Compact and all your orders are just going to delay mine!
How long have you been waiting so far? I ask because I still not to sort some finances around
6. Hah I placed an order for a S12T/v the other day too. Very much looking forward to it!
7. Excellent! Source Audio Bass Synth would be interesting...
8. They are great pedals. I sold mine for 470 delivered a few months ago. Which was much more than I actually intended. I'd probs buy one again if I could get it for the price I paid.
9. Bugger - if this was next month I'd be all over this. It'll be gone by 4!
10. I don't understand why he says "The pictures listed on Ebay are the only pictures I am prepared to supply so please do not ask for more!" Now surely it would make more sense to be willing to get photo's of every angle? I wouldn't look at that on ebay without even more photos. Pots etc!
11. D'oh! Snooze you lose! If my some miracle the contego falls through - can I have 2nd dibs?
12. Hey guys, I'm looking for a decent softcase for my bass. Something i can throw on my back, but still offers protection. Only thing which is a pain - it needs to fit a genz benz shuttle 6 too. Any suggestions ?
13. Bought a Genz Benz Shuttle 6 from Jesse - Great comms, great packaging and all round good guy.
14.
I was at the closing down auction. Although I was frequently scathing of their product range during their run (trying to be all things to all folks and end up pleasing no-one) I did buy my first bass there. Although the bass is long gone, I still have the 30W Laney amp (still works too) and the gig bag - with the Bruce Miller logo stitched in it. So it was a little sad. What was even sadder is that practically everyone there had no concept of how an auction works and clearly forgot about (or were completely unaware of) the premiums. Thus, no bargains were to be had.
Except for TVs. They went pretty cheaply. But yeah - I agree - Aberdeen is ding for musical stuff on bass. I'm still confused why RnB are a "full" orange dealer but weren't willing to order the OTB500 unless I was actually going to buy it... eh no... I want to try the damned thing first! On another note; BMs did have some good stuff occasionally (got my Lakland there) - though the girl who sold it was a dingbat.
15.
Great board, although not heard great sounds from those Mooer octaves, how do you find it? Is that a Stache? Get it in the Fuzzrocious porn thread in 'Effects' Si
In all honesty, I thought It'd make a good octave with the distortion/fuzz. But it's just there for some mental noises - it makes the b7k and syb go mental and glitch to hell. Still tempted to get rid of it and get something else there. It is indeed a stache! Demented fuzz! Got it blended with the distortion of the b7k, so get the nice click type sound with a wall of fuzz!
16. Cabled mine up to a Trex board the other day. Pretty chuffed - just need to adjust a few cables
17. You're failing at typing just now By the way, Scott is a great guy to deal with and keeps AMAZING condition of his gear. Buy with confidence!
18.
Cheers for that mate, I've seen the TC head, the BH250, right? I like it, but there's a few things missing... I'm currently using a 500W head and although I'll never ever need it's full wattage, 250W would feel a bit too much of a drop as I'm only using one 8 Ohm cab. I also love the sound of the MarkBass LittleMark and really like the separate Low and High Mid Controls. You never know though, I might end up with one yet, who sells them here in the UK? Eude
I've seen them in Red Dog Music in Edinburgh. I tried one there - really enjoyed it. Thinking of getting one when it comes to gigging again (or when I have that much disposable cash to get the 2x10 also!) Got a brilliant tone from it (using a 70s reissue jazz bass).
19. That was quite shocking - No Alex Webster and no Tim Commerford? I think thats the first bass poll i've seen to not have John Entwhistle, Flea, JPJ or Geddy on the top spot!
20. Pablo bought my Source Audio BEF + HH. Prompt payment - highly recommended
21. Okay - The person interested in this cant buy it yet. So i'll need to put back for sale.
