1.
Any news on this?...
Well the paint wasn't taking to the bass correctly - so wasn't curing. It's well on the way to being done, we've decided on how the control setup will be (for LEDs etc). Its going to have some push/pull switching going on, so will still look like "classic" jazz. I think we're just waiting on the paint fully curing then the parts being put together. I'll ask Rich to snap some more photos just to see the current look (hopefully now the paints well on the way it'll photograph better
 2. good question this. I was wondering this also..
 3. Hi guys, Decided to sell my Moog Moogerfooger LPF. I'm not sure at present where the PSU has vanished, but i'll have a search... You can get a replacement from Maplin - so long as it has like 500mA current. I think I still have the box also, It's been barely used and has velcro on the bottom. Say about £160. Happy enough to ship - be about 6 quid I think. I'm based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Will get proper pictures after work. 4. Hmm you guys could be right... Does the BEF Pro let you swap between the hot hand and the exp out?
 5. Also even though I'm not a huge fan of the song - Killing in the name by RATM's intro totally sends shivers down my spine. Just those chords. Also the little change in Dawn of the dead by Murderdolls/FDQFP13 is ace
 6.
Its a long moment, but 3:20 on in Waking Up by OneRebublic is just amazing. The chorus of 57 by Biffy Clyro from the Only Revolutions: Live at Wembley CD/DVD made me go wow, Adams (Drums) vocals are just amazing. Liam
Adam? Isint it Simon, Ben and James? 57 is such an amazing song. So glad i've seen it in the smallest places!
 7. I would love to try this - but I have no cash and no physical synth now. Looks like a cool thing.
 8.
Very true! I think the source audio stuff has weird knobs? Do they come off normally? Because I think the third hand attaches to the pot shaft
I actually have no idea! Not attempted to take any of the knobs off yet.
Would she even notice the difference? Even if she did you could always say "That pedal you got me was so great I now need to trade up to the deluxe version!".
Haha she'd hold it against me for years she still winds me up about "the little purple pedal" aka a flanger. I bought it thinking it would make a huge difference to my sound - turns out i never used it and sold it 2 months later.
 9. I'd play it safe. Go for the basses that "look" like basses. Eg Have a bridge, pickups, headstock(!). I'd have been totally baffled by a headless when i first started about that age. I'd suggest showing her some cool stuff (favourite songs/cool riffs) - y'know songs where the bass is really prominent. I'd probs layoff the theory and scales for a first timer.
 10. I'd feel really terrible for selling it. My girlfriend got me it for my 23rd - feels abit wrong to try and sell it 2 months later. :/
 11.
Agreed, but.. at the end of every post gig drive is the ultimate gear trek. Not pleasant if you live in a first floor flat on a main road and usually have to park several hundred metres away!
Try a top floor flat when you have a mesa 400+ in a full shockmounted case with ampeg 6x10. I wanted to die.
 12. I got really confused there.... I thought St Paddy's was the day before my other halfs birthday when we're in new york! Thought i'd somehow missed the start of march!
 13. Hey guys, I'm not really getting on with the sounds of the Moog LPF - But i like the range of frequency's from my BEF. Perfect solution - ditch the Moog, use the BEF with expression pedal. Only issue... It doesnt have an exp out! So without going down the route of BEF Pro... I heard about this. http://www.toneinprogress.com/index.html Now this could be handy (excuse the pun) - its not that pricey and looks like it would do what I want.. Has anyone used/heard of them before? I seen a video on youtube of Paul Gilbert using one. Thoughts? Dave
 14.
So how can you be certain that if you order a certain bass you will get the certain bass and not just any old bass with a certain sticker on it?
I think my brain just melted. i'm certain of it.
 15.
After having been over at Osprey Guitars yesterday I know where my money would go if I could afford a custom build! Rich makes a beautiful bass - note the word 'makes' and not 'puts together'!
Did Rich show you the natural p he got? Nice beasty that.
Any ballpark figures for a passive Jazz bass?
PM Ou7shined. He'd give you a ball park depending on your requirements (Woods/Pickups etc)
 16.
Who, Mr Lewis or Mr Shuker?
Rich (Lewis) He's the guy who can buy a cheapo ebay jobby and turn it into something brilliantly playable.
 17.
Go see Mr Shuker, wait a bloody age but get something truly hand made for the same maybe even less money.
Said it 1,000,000 times before. . Mr Lewis (Ou7shined) above. The jazz he's making me is AMAZING! Attenion to detail is 2nd to none.
 18.
Shame you're in Aberdeen, I want to meet this guy!!
19.
Agghh! It's not this bloke, is it?
Haha imagine legolas from lotr but with daft muscles, and you're pretty much there...
 20.
I'm hoping your drummer is female?
Nope!
 21.
He was a massive stoner and always drunk for gigs. Real punk muso personified. He Jazz was battered to hell, he didn't have 20p to his name. I guess this seemed easier...
Sigh. What a douche.
