RE Hysteria..It is not totally correct Muse Fanism, I know exactly how the sound is achieved (because I am a fanatic hence playing in a full on Muse tribute) and having said that I am moving on, there are enough discussions and threads on this...... But re the Deep impact the price is what it is..The one on Ebay Made £350..I reckon thats a fair "ish" price, gutted for the seller..never like to see a fellow bass player fall on hard times and for him I wish it made £650 but for me for the future maybe I can own one of these at that sort of money, certainly more of a prospect than at £650 ...lol
There was one on eBay (UK Based) a few months back that went for £750. Crazy Prices. People will still pay. I love mine, it's my longest serving pedal now (except my Tuner). Good luck to the OP.
Not sure if there was a fire she'd be the first out out the door (that would be the Shuker... or the '80 L-1000... or the Pingray... or the ... ) but she's definitely the first one I pick up to play these days. A one-piece 70's mystery Jap bass with an original DiMarzio, £80 off ebay and a couple of days TLC....
Having played this :- its was an absolute steal! Needs the thumbrest dude!

That is awesome - what's it like to carry fully loaded?

I used the ampeg 610. AMAZING cab. I still miss it, but given my flats freaking tiny and its on the top floor it was a hassle after gigs (hence why i sadly sold it). If you're able to store it and transport it, you wont regret it. But I have heard good stuff about Barefaced - if I were to be looking for a new cab now - i'd probs give them a look in.
Here you go mate. The body looks something a little .... (well it did but it's been resting sans clamps for a couple of days) ... it will receive more guitar like curves any minute now in fact. Oh and just to clarify, it's just the fingerboard that's blessed with the eyes of birds not the whole neck. I'm still in 2 minds as to whether it will go but we'll see.
Ta Yep this picture. Cheers mate. -

Just a quick update to this:- I believe Rich has got the body now and is working on it now. Will hopefully have pictures soon (think i have one kicking about). Also the pickups have changed - Still Delano - but instead of the Hybrid (with poles on show), its going to have covered poles. I need to take a proper look at the neck that Rich got, It's figured maple so just want to make sure it will look good with the LEDs and body. Kinda makes me think Classic and modern together. -

Hey guys, Decided to make (another!) change to my rig. So since i've changed fuzz and what not, stuffs got to go! First up - ZVEX Mastotron - I may still the box somewhere. Brilliant sounding fuzz that can do tame but can also go insane. Had no issues with this when using my passive or active basses. Was my go to fuzz for the past 2 years. Say £70 delivered to the UK. Next - Line 6 FBV Shortboard MKII USB Foot controller. - I used this for controlling the amps on my macbook. Also used it for midi controlling. If you have a line 6 amp it could be used for that! £65 delivered in the UK. I'm cool shipping internationally - but contact me and i'll get a quote. Cheers Dave

NOT GREAT NEW BASS DAY - EBMM Ray HH Matching Headstock
woodyratm replied to Musicman20's topic in Bass Guitars
Holy crap! I'd do worse than you - i'd be going insane at anyone and everyone who would listen. A refund wouldnt be enough for a cockup of that magnitude IMO. I agree with the statements regarding getting a custom instrument. For me, theres a bit of excitement about having a bass that no one else owns. Can't wait for mine to arrive! If its all built by a decent luthier then you'll get a brilliant bass to your exact specs (even if those specs are based on a HH 'ray! - Mines is based on a 70s jazz...and a stingray) - Just remember that S+T have done a terrible job - which i would spread like a plague to everyone. Sucks that you've had to go through all this. Hope you get everything sorted one way or the other -

Advice needed on my band - not sure to stick it out or not
woodyratm replied to woodyratm's topic in General Discussion
Hah i like how this topic has decended! But on another note - I got a call from the guitarist last night (Since i'm in freaking london still...) - He'd spoken to the drummer (who let slip my fears hah) and wanted to confirm that he was dedicated. Just with problems at home (current flat mates a douche) he just was unhappy with everything. He has said that in a few weeks once he's moved out we'll be good to go. Happy ended huh? Apologies for anyone interested in the pedals Cheers for the help folks - you're all awesome! -
The best distortion for me (sound like a whole band)
Ok... soo what cheap signal blenders are there?
I used a Barge Concepts VB-JR before - I've got built into a switching unit max at SFX built me - so could always go that route? -

Yeahh thats what i'm thinking just now. Well that and try and get a rise against style project going. Might even swallow my fear and do lead vocals too. Already found a drummer if my current doesnt fancy. Would be nice if he did - we've played together for 10 years almost!
