4. Bump. Also still on ebay.
5. This is really awesome. Totally trying this now (That i've found its got the tab yay!)
6.
We used to do Aberdeen.
And i missed it? Balls. Hope the gigs go well
7. If only there was an Aberdeen date let me know if you fancy a gig this far!
8. I'd wear a wristband. In fact i wear a wristband all the time... Though they've all gone missing.
9.
I really wouldn't. I'm not going to get offended by someone offerring me less than I think something's worth. I'll simply say "no thanks". I don't understand why anyone would consider a low offer offensive.
I think its more "someone trying to pull a fast one" for lowballing like that. But a quick deep breath cures that! For example - i had someone PM me today regarding my head and cab and offered something which i felt was way below what it was worth. simply said "sorry but no" But i see where the Thegreek is coming from. For the record - i've had good buying (bad for my cash!) and selling whilst here.
10. Bump - http://shop.ebay.co.uk/woodyratm/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562 on ebay now.
11. Head is now on ebay http://shop.ebay.co.uk/woodyratm/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562
12. Okay i just realised this REALLY needs to go ASAP. Please PM me an offer?
13. Bump again. I'm open to offers/making a deal on both. Also willing to ship if required (scary thought that!) Just PM me Im still working on pictures but I'd guess most people know what they look like. Just a small amount of tolex damage on the cab (Nothing major).
14.
You're not driving past Liverpool any time soon are you?! Maybe I'll try to record something...
Afraid not mate I'm way up north compared to you. If you get any recordings or anything, punt them my way
15. I'd like to hear what this sounds like. I'm after a lighter head/cab.
16. This is today for anyone in the area! My band (Foxdie) are on about 6.30.
17. Amazing looking bass. Wouldn't be tempted for a dj4 for dj4 swap? Lake placid blue with rosewood.
18. Bump for a change of price on the cab. I'm thinking 600 could be a better price for the cab.
19. Hey all, I'm not sure how many users are based in Scotland/Aberdeen area but... Myself and a few mates are starting our own promotions company. Not for making money or anything, but to actually try and get the scene up here more fun again. It's kinda lost the appeal in recent years. Bands don't seem to work together and the crowds/promotion is pretty dire. So we're trying this. Its called Spread The Word Promotions. And our first gig is this Sunday (3rd April) in The Tunnels (again - Aberdeen) - starts from 3pm. I'm going to try and get some CD's burned with tracks of all the bands playing. If anyone is in Aberdeen/Scotland and fancies a fun day/night then please come along. Hopefully it will be pretty decent! Dave
20. Hey all, Head is now gone (via ebay sadly) - so the 6x10 cab is still left. £600 and its yours. Not really sure about shipping it though (given the size!) but can look into if required. Cab is in very good condition - just a few minor tears on the tolex. Wheels are still in good nick and the kick plate still has the blue plastic on it. It's not a US one, but it sounds amazing. If I could justify keeping it I would be. I'm in Aberdeen. Davie EDIT - Now £550
21. Hmm i think i will defo sell my rig!
22.
+1. How big is the flat? How many stairs? If you've got to play loud then you'll need a neo 410 and a light 500 watt amp. A neo 212 might work but probably won't match a 410. Other cabs I'd look at would be 1 or 2 Barefaced Compacts. You can knock down walls with 2 of those!
Very top floor - with small stairwell and low roofs at one point. And the flat is pretty small - 1 bedroom. The ampeg takes up silly space just now!
Downsizing isn't downgrading, far from it, I don't think anyone gigging Berg cabs for instance would consider your gear an upgrade! There's a plethora of compact, immensely powerful and fantastic sounding rigs out there. The choice nowadays is great, lots of brands have lightweight, compact gear on offer. Big stacks are fun, i used to love having a full rig at gigs, but i eventually got sick of having to store it and move it. Not to mention having to cart it up stairs at 4am after a gig and the long motorway journey home!
Downsizing would probs be a better word! I'm just tired of having to shatter myself loading in and out - its not like my cabs even mic'd - so its pretty much just acting totally as on stage monitoring. Just feel abit like overkill.
My 600w 4ohm 2x12 cab can match any 4x10 no problem mate
Ohhh which cab is that?
23. hey guys, been doing some thinking recently - do i really need my ampeg SVT CL and SVT HLF610? They're bloody heavy and i don't actually think i have room for them in my flat! I'm not gigging that often per say - maybe once a month if I'm lucky (and we're talking for 30/40 mins). Was thinking of getting a Sansamp RBI with some form of power amp perhaps with a lightweight/small 2 or 4x10. I play mainly dance/rock/daft stuff - Like really effects laiden and what not. I realize that the SVT is amazing sounding, I just feel i'm wasting it and killing my back/car at the sametime. Help?
