I am happy to let another band use my Cab if they ask. But there is no chance i'm letting another band use my head or bass. Been burned with that one before. Eg spend ages getting a sound i like, for some band to come mess with all my settings and EQ. Oh yeah couple that with not being thanked for using the gear or helping me load the stuff out. Yes thats right just stand and watch me drag my cab up stairs on my own. If they ask me, i'm happy to let them use the cab though.

I miss my wireless Nothing like starting a set in the crowd haha.

I think the whammy would be an interesting pedal to use. Dunno how well it would track if you're tuned to five string flat though. Might be best to try one and see.
Ha ha everyone has got me really worried now, I am terrified I might walk out with something I don't need........but want! Actually I will have my girlfriend with me and she is usually the best GAS buster there is. Saying that she did actively encourage the new EBS cab and even gave me some towards it, so I cant rely on her. Just seen teh really cheap secondhand warwick fortress, dear lord!
If it makes you feel better my girlfriend is the same. "Do you REALLY need that?" "Yes!" "No you dont. Now lets go." "B....b...but i doooo!" "No." Walks out shop with my car keys and more than likely my wallet. Defeated!

I use 3 fingers too. I usually start with my ring finger then middle then index etc. I just started playing some stuff slowly (trying to only use the ring finger to make it get used to actually be used!) then got more speed. Annoyingly my pinky sticks out like i'm the queen having a cup of tea or something when i do it. Cue lots of mocking from my other half and my old band. Hahah

Ohhh this looks interesting. Might be something worth getting.

I have a stagg one i got off ebay a while back. It might be slightly to big for what you need though. £30 off ebay. Take a look there. Also take a look at flightcase warehouse.

I know you said no 'torches but i use one with a vb jr and pretty much hit the muse nail on the head (or so i'm told.) Couple it with an octave and you can easily get a sound that is pretty much identical to Fury. Thought i'd through it out there. Though from your budget the bass big muff would probs do it? I used to use a big muff running with a marshal guv'nor (again with the barge concepts blender) and got close. The blowtorch works brilliantly for me though.

Confess - which 'theoretically' simple songs do you mess up?

I keep messing up Hysteria's verse when i play it with the band. Can do it fine on my own, soon as the guitar plays i start missing notes everywhere. -

Oooh i like this thread! Know your enemy is the single reason i picked up a bass. Which is weird since ive been into rage since my sister was young! Shes like 28 now.... she somehow had one of the demo's which she binned. Got it downloaded now but still I saw them at titp last year and at leeds a few weeks (or months) later. The gig at T was the best show ive ever seen. Nearly passed out, but still fantastic! Also it is possible to sound "like" the first album (not exactly of course) by using a jazz of some kind (i use my lakland) into an svt 4 with a blender and an original guv'nor. I spent hours faffing getting a tone sorta like it.

I used to use a wristband too. Looks abit suspect when you're undoing your belt in the middle of a venue like!
I have a potential sale but as it is International and payment options are limiting I'd like to sell to the UK. I wouldn't dismiss the option of a trade up or down for a lightweight bass!
Only other bass i have is my stingray - and thats likely to mong your shoulder even worse If i come into cash i'll let you know. Also congrats on the amazing price. -
Realised i had originally put this in the wrong forum! My mate is having problems shifting his Filter Pro - Dodgy bidders on ebay etc. So he asked me to stick it on here. Used in the studio and live by bands such as radiohead and Muse. it is been used on the Muse song City of Delusion (with an exp pedal) for example, and Chris Wolstenholme uses one live as part of his rig. Here is what Line 6 say:- Synchronizing a dream collection of classic effects has been a hit or miss (mostly miss) process. Now, the rhythmic possibilities are endless. Just tap a tempo to set the groove of your Tube Echo to a dotted eighth, let the Obi-Wah throb a quarter note while the Panned Phaser undulates a half note triplet. You'll find your ears reelin' in time and your toes doing that poly-rhythmic twitch that can only mean you've created another masterpiece. Ain't life grand? Extensive MIDI features, analog Bypass, expression pedal control and 99 Program memories give the most sophisticated effects junkie total control and limitless options. High-visibility displays let you know what's going on. Innovative tempo controls translate delay times and modulation rates from milliseconds or Hertz to BPM and back. With the ability to dial in anywhere from a 16th note triplet to a dotted whole note, you can simply tap a tempo or lock to MIDI Clock and dial in the perfect note rhythm to match any groove at any tempo.
